CHAPTER 28

MELANIE’S APARTMENT***

Melanie was sitting in the living room, watching a movie. A bowl of popcorn was on her thighs as she ate it slowly.

“If you wanna forget them easily, then do what you’re best at. Take your mind off everything and do it with all the happiness in you, trust me you’ll forget about it” She remembered Julie’s advice.

Slowly, she placed the bowl of popcorn on the couch and stood up.

She went to the disc player and played “Twerk; by City girl feat Cardi B”.

Melaine positioned herself well, she bent in a squatting position and straightened herself along with the rhythm of the music, and started twerking, shaking her booty real hard.

“Gosh! It’s been long since I did this” she giggled, whining her waist and arching her back as she continued twerking.

She was still lost in her world when she heard someone clapping behind her.

She stopped and to her surprise, she saw Axel, looking at her with a smirk on his lips.

“That was amazing,” he grinned.

“When… When did you get here?” She stuttered.

Axel started moving closer to her.

“Long enough to see you shaking that a*s” he said naughtily.

“You can continue, I’ll be here watching you” he plopped himself on a couch and crossed his legs and arms, staring at her blankly.

“Continue, Mel. This bad boy wanna enjoy a nice view” a slow grin formed on his lips.

Melanie’s cheeks flushed in embarrassment, she couldn’t believe he saw her twerking.

The sly grin on his face was enough to make her wish to disappear into thin air.

“Forget about what you saw just now… It’ll never happen again” she stuttered a bit.

“Why? That was an amazing sight. I’ve never seen a girl shaking her booty just the way you did” Axel said, enjoying the look on her face.

Melanie flinched at his vulgar use of words, can he ever stop being a flirt?

“Shut up!” She glared at him and rushed to her room with her cheeks red in embarrassment.

Axel let out a chuckle before getting to his feet. He went to the disc player and paused the music which was still playing.

He straightened up and went to his room, a smile playing on his lips.

Melanie shut the door to her room and rested her back on it, covering her face with her palms.

She couldn’t stop feeling embarrassed, no guy had ever seen her twerking, not even Ace.

But then, the Assassin did, a bad boy for that matter.

“Urgh!!” She rushed to the bed and lay on it, hitting her legs on it aggressively.

“Can’t believe this, I’m so embarrassed” she buried her face to the pillow, biting her lips hard.

“How would I face him? Oh no!”

“Avoid him!” Her subconsciousness suddenly screamed.

Melanie quickly raised her head from the pillow and smiled triumphantly.

“Yes, that’ll do. Gosh, you’re just so smart” she h!ts her head with a smile playing on her lips.
