HER HEARTLESS MONSTER : CHAPTER 1 – 10
By Naomi Cindy B.
PROLOGUE
In the town of Glennville, Twilight lived the life of a hermit with her father in their small cottage.
She barely came out of the cottage, so her interaction with people was limited. Everything she learned about them, she learned from books.
She’s a lover of books, especially romance, so she borrows them from the old library downtown which she visits once every two weeks.
Twilight knew she wasn’t normal like other people. She felt things others couldn’t feel and heard voices others couldn’t hear.
She sees a gorgeous male face in her dream every night, but the problem is she forgets the face each time she wakes up.
She tried every trick possible to remember, but he’s always like a fog at the back of her mind.
Her father who’s an old herbal doctor helped with herbal medicines too, but none was effective enough to bring the face to her memories.
Till she got a sudden admission letter from the mysterious University Of Glennville (UOG), the only university in city with a long history of students going missing every month.
Twilight didn’t mind the risk.
She knew the school wasn’t for normal people according to the background, and somehow, she felt like it held the answers to her dream guy, but…
Things changed when she actually became a student of the school.
Her beliefs turned upside down, and the school threatened everything she held dear, including her father.
University Of Glennville became her worse nightmare, ready to tear her apart.
Join this ride to find out how darker it gets, and how tougher the fight becomes.
Did she meet the guy in her dreams?

HER HEARTLESS MONSTER : CHAPTER 1 – 10
GLENNVILLE, 10AM
Only the sound of the groaning taxi engines filled the silent road as it drove through under the mild morning sun.
It’s as if the taxi is the only one on the road, and it’s understandable since the town is not very populous.
The middle-aged driver drove in the front with all his squared attention while his passenger sat at the backseat, covering her face with the novel she’s reading.
At the back of the novel, Twilight was written decoratively in beautiful small letters.
Soft sighs were escaping her nostrils from time to time like she was payed to do the exercise, and at the third one, she dropped the book, revealing her unique eyes.
She’s wearing a short flower-print ruffled dress that has just one shoulder.
A single-strand pearl choker necklace sat pretty on her neck, the bracelet on her wrist, and the earrings on her ears.
She released another sigh, taking the novel again. She opened to a particular page and brought out her admission letter.
She received it last week, and she decided immediately that she was gonna come without minding the oddness surrounding the whole thing.
She never applied for admission to the University. She stayed homeschooled with her father all her life, so how the letter came for her is still a mystery she’s not ready to solve.
She just wants to get to the school and experience another phase of life different from before. She wants to make friends, meet new people, especially the guy from her dreams.
That thought made a thin smile appear on her lips, and the driver grinned from the front when he saw her smile.
