ANDREA POV

“It’s really been a long day”I said as Max and I walked into the mansion

“And an interesting one at that “He said

It’s so good having my own phone, I thought as I kept on looking at it

“Do you really like it that much?”He asked

“No! I love it, it’s so good having my own phone”I replied

“And more so that Jack got it for you”he said sounding a bit angry

“But I asked you first, I wanted to participate in the competition with you”

” How do you expect me to participate in such a thing when I know that I can get one for you”he said

” I told you already,I ………..”

“Don’t want my money, you made it crystal clear to me at the park and so I won’t be spending my money on you”He replied and when I had nothing to say to that he continued

“Why? Why don’t you want me to spend my money on you?”

“Because it’s your money and I hate being indebted to someone”

“What if it was given to you as a gift”He asked

“No one gives something for free without hoping for something in return” I said as I kept going but then I stopped when I didn’t see him beside me

“What about me?”he asked and I turned to look at him

“You? You are my angel, my angel who keeps my secret and helps me without expecting something in return “I said, giving him a smile.

“You are wrong “he said suddenly looking all serious

“Wrong as how ?”I asked as he began to walk towards me slowly

“Me keeping your secret and also helping you to lie is something that i hope to get back very soon”he said as he kept walking towards me

“Why are you saying that? “I asked as I kept moving back while he moved towards me

“You shouldn’t be asking that, you should be asking me how I plan on getting it back from you?”He said

“How! How do you plan on getting back your help from me?”I asked as I felt the wall behind me.

He cornered me and put his arm on the wall over my head and then he stared down at me

“By doing this’ ‘he said as he made a punch with his fist, thinking he was going to hit me, I closed my eyes expecting the painful blow but instead I felt a light kiss on my forehead.

I opened my eyes only to see him smiling down at me

“Did I scare you?”He asked, having fun at my expense.

I pushed him away and began to walk off but he came after me obstructing my path.

“Hey did I offend you?”He asked

“Just go to bed already”I said wanting to move past him

“Did you really think I was going to hit you?”he asked

“It doesn’t matter,just go back in”I asked still feeling flabbergasted by the kiss he had given me

“Fine then but first”he said as he snatched my phone from me

“Hey give that back!”I yelled as I tried to get the phone from him but he kept running around

When I saw that the chase was just making the whole thing worse, I waited for him to finish what he was doing and when he was through, he brought it back to me

“Here, have put my number there, keep it safe, a lot of girls are dying to get it” he said, giving me a wink and then he walked off.

I was still sitting outside when I checked my phone and saw that he had stored his name as ‘ANDREA ANGEL ‘

“What a crazy guy”I muttered as I head into the house

I was going to the maid quarters when a maid ran towards me

“The boss has asked for you, she said you should go straight to her study ” the maid said to me

“Do you know why she is suddenly asking of me?”I asked

“Well I don’t, all I know is that she is in the study, waiting for you “The maid said as she walked off

Why would Max mom want to see me, I thought as I went off to study.

HIGH SCHOOL: Chapter 31 – 40

On getting there, I knocked softly and with her permission,I walked into the room

“Have a seat Andrea”She said and quickly I sat down

“How is your mom doing?”She asked

“She is doing fine, recuperating well”I replied feeling a bit nervous

“The hospital bill has been paid and clear ,so you don’t have to worry about it”She said softly and I nodded , thanking her.

“You know I had asked you to help me with a task before?”She asked softly

“Yes you had”I replied

“Well then I would like to tell you to stop it”She said

“I shouldn’t try to get Rose and Max together!”I asked feeling a bit excited

“You don’t have to do that anymore and before I tell you what I have to tell you,I have to ask you this question”she said looking at me with all seriousness

“Ask away Ma’am “I replied

“What sort of relationship do you have with my son?”She asked

“Relationship?”I asked a bit taken aback by her question

“Yes, you closeness can’t just be called friendship”She said

“Max and I are just friends and nothing else, I can swear on that”I said

It’s a good thing that Max doesn’t like me the way I like him, it will only cause us more problem

“I will believe you this once, you are only friends with Max and that’s all right?”She asked again

“Yes ma’am”I replied

“Well then do me a favour “She said

“What ma’am?”

“Stay away from Max, even your friendship is hindering the relationship he has with Rose, each time I call or want to see,they all tell me that he is with you which makes me angry, you only said you were friends but yet you are always together, Max has a fiancee and that is Rose, so I will kindly ask you to stop being his friend and to stay away from him”She said

“To stay away from Max?”I asked sadly

“Yes to stay away from him, he has an obligation to Rose and by being with you all the time is hindering it”She said

“Andrea help me,I want my son to be happy with someone who is right for him and that someone is Rose, try to keep your distance okay, each time he comes to you always remember that he has an obligation to Rose and that he belongs to her”She said softly

“I understand Ma’am”

“I hope I don’t have to call you back in here to give you the same warning?”She asked and I nodded

“You can leave”She said and I stood up heading out

“I hope you do as I say Andrea, stay away from Max, I would hate to have to let you and your mother go”She said and went back to her work, dismissing me .

I walked out of the study feeling so sad, just when I thought that everything is going well for me, reality just had to come back.

“Stay away from Max” her words came back to me and I smiled sadly

I would just have to stay away from you, I don’t want my mom and I to be thrown out for the second, I love being in this house, love going to Jupiter high and if we were to get fired, I would have to change school and I won’t have to see Max again.

That is something I wouldn’t be able to bear, I would rather keep my distance than to never see him again……..

THE NEXT DAY

MAX POV

I went to school quite early, I wished I could skip it to be with Andrea at the hospital but I can’t do that.

The reason I came to school today is to pay for Andrea’s school trip.

I know she has asked me not to do it but I won’t be going on a school trip without her there,I thought as I head straight to the teacher assigned to the task of receiving money

“You have been paid ! Why are you here?” She asked when she saw me

“Well I came to pay for a friend of mine, she is very busy to do it herself and so she has asked me to do it “I lied

“Fine then tell me her name”She asked

“Andrea,Andrea Blake”I said

“Again? Just what is it about that girl that you all keep on bothering me “The teacher asked

“What do you mean?”I asked

“Well her money has been paid, it was done recently. A student was here too to ask the same thing and I gave him the same response, what are you two doing ? Are you this girl knight in shining armour ? I suggest you go to class”The teacher said as she turned her back to me
