GOLDEN HOTEL*
Asha quickly left the hospital and ran all the way to Golden hotel, since she wasn’t having any money to take taxi.
She entered the hotel and went straight to the receptionist.
She needed to see her mom, her mom was the only person who can help her now.
She found out few days ago, that her mom was the owner of Golden hotel and their family owned the Golden high school.
She knew her mom doesn’t want to see her but, she needs money and her mom might help her if she pleads.
” Good afternoon ma’am.” Asha greeted the receptionist.
She was panting heavily as her chest heave high and low.
” Good miss, how may I help you?” The receptionist replied.
” Am here to see Mrs morris please.”
” Did you book an appointment?” The receptionist asked and Asha bit her lips.
She had forgotten to book an appointment and now they won’t let her in.
” Please it’s urgent, I really need to see her, this is about life and de.ath.” Asha said as she joined her hands together, but the receptionist shook her head sideways.
” Am sorry miss but, we can’t let you see her except you book an appointment.”
” Please, I just need to see her even if it’s just for a minute.” Asha said as tears prickled her eyes.
She really needs to see her mom, even if it means to risk her life, she needs to see her.
” This isn’t some kind of a school or local restaurants, where you can just come anytime to see someone. You need to book an appointment, so am sorry, you can’t see her….” The receptionist said as she trailed on her words before facing Asha again.
” Why don’t you book an appointment and come back tomorrow?”
” No, thank you.” Asha said as she shook her head sideways.
She knows how these receptionist thing works, when she comes tomorrow, they will tell her to book an appointment because, it won’t be the same receptionist.
She was heading out of the hotel, when she saw someone coming out of an elevator and she bit licked her lips as she did a brief thinking.
Immediately, she took great speed running towards the elevator. She could hear the scream of the receptionist, telling the securities to catch her and she increased her pace.
She quickly entered the elevator and it closed before the guards could reach her.
She saw a man inside and he stared at her suspiciously while she looked at the other side.
The elevator stopped moving and the man immediately got out and she followed suite.
She didn’t know where the ceo office was located, she was about to leave, when she sighted a door boldly written ‘ CEO’ and she jumped for joy.
She walked over to the door, she was scared as she kept pondering if her mom will help or not. After much thinking she placed a knock on the door.
” Come inside.” Mrs morris said and she entered immediately.
She saw her mom and a tear fell but she quickly wiped it away.
Her mom was looking different and more young like a model. She was busy with some papers as she signed on it hastily, that she didn’t notice her presence.
‘ Money sure is good’ she thought.
After few minutes of signing that took forever, her mom raised her head and a gasp escaped her lips.
” Asha, what are you doing here?!” She growled and immediately Asha went on her knees.
” Mom, please don’t push me away, not this time.” She said in a trembling voice.
” It’s not mom, it’s Mrs morris!”
” Am sorry, Mrs morris please I need your help, my daughter is dying… please can you lend me some money…I promise to pay back. You are the only one I have now, please don’t push me away.” She cried and Mrs morris scoffed.
” Every mother takes care of their child, they make sure their child is ok.” Mrs morris said, as she looked at Asha whose head was bowed and continued.
” If it was you, I would have helped because you are my child, even though you are disowned but, too bad you are not. Am sorry but I can’t help you young lady….And don’t ever come here again…I might lose it next time!, You may leave.
Immediately she said so, Asha stood up and wiped her tears before walking out.
The person, she thought could have helped her, insulted her… isn’t her life just pathetic?

THE LUCAS’S MANSION*
Tasha and her family were seated at the dining eating alongside with the Lucas’s family.
They had come over to discuss about the wedding between Josh and Tasha, the Lucas’s family were happy about that especially victoria their mom.
Tasha was so happy, that she kept glancing at Josh the whole time.
Josh on the other hand was just quiet but maintained a calm face.
Camdan knew that Josh was pissed about the whole wedding thing. He was invited to their family house because of the wedding planning and as an elder brother, he needs to be on support of everything.
” I just can’t wait for my son to get married to you Tasha.” Mrs Lucas said as she smiled widely.
” Yes, me too. My daughter is going to look like a princess on her wedding day.” Tasha’s mother also said.
” Of cause, she will and the wedding will be the best in the whole of las Vegas.” Tasha’s dad said and everyone burst into laughter, including Camdan.
” You are beautiful Tasha and well trained. You are the perfect match for my son.” Mr lucas said and she tucked her hair behind her ear.
” Thank you father in-law and also mother in-law.” She said with a smile.
Josh hearing all these comments scoffed inwardly, still maintaining a calm face.
Seriously? The woman that hated him was the happiest of them all. He just couldn’t believe all this is happening in front of him.
He dropped his cutleries and wiped his mouth with a paper towel, he stood up with an apology look on his face.
” Am sorry but am not feeling too well.” He said and Tasha gasped.
” Are you ok? Is it that serious?” She asked.
” No Tasha, it will be gone after having some rest.” He replied with a smile and started walking upstairs.
” Quickly follow him, make him feel better.” Mrs Lucas whispered and Tasha also went upstairs.
Josh got to his room and fell on his bed tiredly. He started to unbotten his shirt when Tasha walked in.
She walked to him as she kicked her lips touching the clothes he wore.
” Let me help.” She said and of cause he didn’t push her away as she helped in unbottening his shirt.
She unbottened it and saw a tattoo on his chest. She traced her hands on it causing an unusual sensation on Josh’s body.
” What is it?” She asked with a smile.
” It’s the drawing of a pendant, a pendant that someone special gave to me but I lost it few years back and couldn’t get it, so I decided to draw it on my chest….as you can see, my name is written on it.” He explained and she nodded her head.
” Someone special you say, is it your girlfriend?” She asked and he chuckled.
” No, just someone special.” He replied and walked over to his wardrobe as he searched for a casual wear.

HONEY SALT’S KITCHEN*
Asha mopped the floor for the third time when a customer walked inside the restaurant.
She quickly dropped the mop and walked over to the entrance to see who it was since they are closed for the day already.
Since she stayed at the restaurant, she was the one in charge of closing it.
After the visitation of her mom, she went back to the hospital and explained things to the doctor, she had told him, she will pay half of the money tomorrow hopefully.
She walked over to one of the tables and saw a guy in suit as he stared outside the window.
” Hello Mister, we are closed for today.” She said and he turned to her.
” Oh, it’s you.” She said with a smile as she sat down opposite him.
” You know me?” He asked and she replied with a nod.
” Of cause I do, you are the same guy that came with his mom that day…the person that ordered so much food for her son.”
” You really remember me, am Camdan by the way.” He said as he stared at her. Her hair was in a mess but she still looked pretty.
” Am Asha, what are you doing here by this time?”
” Can I get an alcohol?” He asked ignoring her question.
” Sure, I will go get it.” She said and after few minutes she arrived with a soft drink.
” Why did…”
” Just drink that one, your handsome face doesn’t deserve an alcoholic drink” she said cutting him off and he chuckled.
He took a sip of it and licked his lips while Asha smiled.
” So, why did you want to drink an alcohol, am the one who’s supposed to take it not you….you look good.” She said and he laughed out loud.
He was so surprised, he couldn’t believe he just laughed because of this girl over here. He couldn’t remember when last he laughed a sincere laugh.
” I laughed today, all thanks to you.” He said and she stared at him in surprise.
” You should laugh more often, it makes you more handsome.” She said and he muttered a thank you.
” I went for dinner with our in-laws, my little brother is getting married.” He said.
” That’s good news…is that why you are sad? You don’t like your little brother?”
” No, I love my little brother a lot, but am just scared.” He said and she furrowed her brows.
” Scared of what?” She asked and he inhaled deeply staring outside the window before speaking.
” Scared of everything.”
” Hey, don’t be scared, chin up and act like a man… You should be happy you have a perfect life…many are looking for that kind of life.” She said as she also stared outside the window.
He looked at her and sipped his drink. She was so pretty as the moonlight shone directly on her face.
” The sky is beautiful?” He said and she hummed.
