Mr Sterling patted Susan’s back to calm her down totally buying the excuse given to him

“I’ll take you upstairs then”

Mr Sterling suggested .

“No no, I’m fine now darling, I’ll stay, we have visitors after all and it would be rude to exempt myself in humouring them”.
Susan said sweetly while Derick chuckled inside him

“I don’t mind Mrs Sterling, you can go rest, for the baby’s health, you shouldn’t be stressed”
Derick said with a smile

Susan wanted to wipe off that stupid smile off his face

She wouldn’t want to be upstairs whilst leaving them alone!

God knows what he would tell her husband!!

The man is cunning and crafty and with the years of being close to him, Susan knew him enough to know that he wouldn’t do something like this without an ulterior motive.

Him being here tonight was an arranged thing and he definitely has something up his sleeves

Susan was so scared

Was he finally fade up with waiting for her feedback from their last meeting and decided to come expose her??!!

DONOVAN HOSPITAL~

“Child why not you go home? it’s already too late”
Madam Viola urged Vanessa softly like how a mother would.

It’s been two days now since Vanessa learnt about Dylan’s condition and ever since that day, she had been visiting frequently, taking care of Dylan and neglecting her own self which made Madam Viola soften towards her the more.

Madam Viola thought, this is how a good woman behaves.

Ever since she had known Vanessa, the girl has always been a good and caring individual, always putting everyone around her first

Unlike the lady from the Sterling family that had caused nothing but pain to Dylan

She wondered what her son saw in the woman in the first place.

Vanessa smiled tiredly as she sat beside Dylan’s bed and gazed at him

“It’s nothing aunt, I want to take care of him, I can’t just leave him alone”.

Vanessa’s voice came out to be muffled laced with sadness but loud enough for Mrs Donovan to hear.

The woman sighed, she could understand how Vanessa was feeling at the moment

It happens especially when you have feelings for the person.

She felt the same way too when her husband was hospitalized after a terrible accident

Madam Viola quickly blocked those painful memories from entering her mind at the moment

She patted Vanessa’s shoulder gently

“don’t worry, I’m here now to look after him, Vanessa you need to go home and get some sleep. Dylan won’t be happy to see you stress yourself”

Madam Viola added and Vanessa’s eyes lit up at the thought that Dylan would really be sad to see her stress herself.

Vanessa who are you kidding?

But at a second thought Vanessa’s eyes dimmed silently

Dylan loves someone else so how would he feel sad about her stressing herself.
He doesn’t even look at her side

Authoress: thank God you know that ???.

Madam Viola could sense the sadness emitting from Vanessa and she sighed

She had heard and seen how her son dots on that woman and she needed nobody to tell her that it wasn’t going to be possible between Dylan and Vanessa or rather it would be difficult to ship them together just as she had wanted to

Vanessa herself knows that what happened to Dylan was partly her fault

She had been so blinded with rage to hurt Georgia that she quarreled with her cousin who in turn wants to hurt Dylan.

Infact she knew that something like this would happen and though she wouldn’t want Dylan to get hurt, her selfish desires still wanted it to happen because through it, Georgia would be disliked the more by the Donovans as she would be blamed for what happened

Then she, Vanessa would get close to Dylan just like what she was doing at the moment.

With these thoughts, Vanessa smiled

“Alright Aunt, I’ll get going now, do take care”
Vanessa said sweetly earning a smile from Madam Viola

Standing up to leave, Vanessa froze when she saw who was at the door

It was Ryan

She wasn’t shocked seeing him but it was the look her, the gaze was piercing and intense as if gauging her soul or as if he heard what she was thinking few seconds ago.

“H-Hey Ryan”.
