Micheal nodded

“Awed right? I felt the same too when I got them, I felt goosebumps, please don’t tell me this woman is related to you”

Michael said as he shuddered

Velvet spat out

“Her name is Susan, that slut can never be related to me!!!

“So why then are you so interested in this woman? Gosh I didn’t know scheming women as her still existed”

Michael spoke taking a sip from his cup of lemonade.

Velvet didn’t say anything and just kept flipping the papers.

She simmered in anger at the thoughts of what the woman did to her family.

People tend to do hurtful things to people without thinking about the repercussions of their own deeds but nature always being nature, they would be paid back in their own coins one way or the other.

Karma is a bch after all!

“You’re a genius Mike, this will do, it will ruin her reputation she had tried so hard to build to a length”
Velvet smirked

STERLING HOME~

“Honey why would there be a business dinner at our house? why didn’t you make a reservation at a restaurant or hotel?

Susan asked Mr Sterling

Currently, the maid were moving to and fro from the kitchen to the dinning room setting different dishes in the huge long table.

“Ariana isn’t back yet and I wonder why”

Susan added looking worriedly at her wrist watch

Though her daughter was an adult, it was already eight in the night and still she wasn’t home which got her worried

For as long as she could remember, her daughter hasn’t stayed outside the mansion past this time.

Mr Sterling caressed Susan’s belly

“Don’t worry honey, she’ll be fine, she isn’t five and regarding the business dinner taking place here, he is an important investor which our company hadn’t gotten for a while now and I need to humour him well”

Mr Sterling explained

Susan just nodded weakly

“Sir, Mr Lawson and his assistant are here”

A servant informed

Susan paused when she heard the name as it rang a bell but she couldn’t pinpoint what exactly

“Oh perfect, let them in then”
Mr Sterling ordered and the maid bowed .

In few seconds, the awaited Mr Lawson and his assistant walked right into the sitting room with the servant leading the way.

Mr Sterling mustered every ounce of smile in him as he walked up to them bringing out a hand for a handshake

“Glad you made it Mr Lawson, welcome to my home”
He acknowledged delightfully

Mr Lawson smiled back and shook hands with him.

CRASH!!!!!

A loud defeaning sound was heard that instant making all eyes to snap towards the direction it came from

Mr Sterling’s eyes went wide in shock and he immediately rushed to Susan who had somehow broken a vase beside her

But that wasn’t the problem, it was how badly she was shuddering at the moment as if she was being hunted and the ghost had finally cut up to her.

Mr Lawson had a lopsided smile seeing the reaction

‘How interesting’
He thought within him

“Honey what’s wrong? Are you alright?
Mr Sterling asked in worry

Susan didn’t say a word

Mr Sterling became more worried

“Say something Susan, are you hurt somewhere?

“I think she needs rest, it could be pregnancy hormones acting up, it happens, my wife had that same reaction when she was at this stage once upon a time”

Mr Lawson advised gently with a caring smile that got Susan’s eyes to widen as she glared at the man silently

‘BI00DY LIAR!!! WHAT WIFE? WHAT PREGNANCY?!!!! WHAT IS HE DOING HERE FOR GOODNESS SAKE!!!!

Susan screamed within herself still in her husband’s arms

Mr Sterling nodded in realization and understanding but still needed to confirm from his wife herself

“Honey is that it?

Susan had no other choice than to nod in agreement

What other thing would she say as an excuse for her reaction?

The so called important client wasn’t a stranger to her, infact he is the biological father of Arianna?

or that she was not from any humble background and she used to be a stripper and his sx toy and seeing him show up at the mansion brought fear in her?

Was that what she was gonna say?
