Lady Wang wasn’t done speaking when the Emperor threw up blood, holding his chest tight and everyone gasped looking at him. The ministers instantly ran to him.
The Emperor’s eyes scanned through the people, then landed on the sword on the floor, his gaze darkened with a frown.
“Your-majesty are you alright?!”. Minister Zhou and the others questioned.
Mina stood up from the ground and was staring at the Emperor with shocked eyes.
‘Now that my daughter won, he wants to die?’. Lady Wang thought in worry.

“Your majesty, it seems you’ve been poisoned
Minister Wang wasn’t done when the Emperor forced himself to dematerialize and instantly he met, and everyone exchanged glances in shock.
“Bae let’s leave and return later tonight for the celebration, that’s if there’ll be any”. Mistress Soni said eyeing Lady Wang and then Bae followed her and they left together.
“As per tradition our new Empress will be celebrated tonight with a huge feast inviting everyone from far and beyound to celebrate with us, then by tomorrow noon, with the burning sun as our witness, she’ll get officially crowned the Empress of Yongxi and the entire tenth province! Hurry for Empress Mina!!”. The royal announcer continued shouting at the top of his voice.
“Hurray!!!!!”. Everyone chorused, cheering loudly in excitement, Lady Wang smiled widely like she was the one everyone was cheering for while Mina only let out a short smile.
‘But wait– this is what I’ve been waiting for, why ruin my day cause i won with Jade’s blood and energy, if she was really the chosen one, she would have won herself.
It’s not my fault she’s unlucky”. Mina scoffed in her head, before changing her short smile into a huge one bringing out her 32 white teeths as everyone continued cheering for her.

“No body’s treating this witch in my palace!! She should be thrown out, back into the forbidden forest were she met her doom!!”.
The Queen Mother shouted and the guards at the entrance doubled their security as the pointed their long spears at Kai to deny him entry through the palace gates.
“Your majesty you’re fully aware she’s not just anyone in this palace, but the Emperor’s—
Kai was interrupted by the Queen Mother’s loud cackle. And he sighed as his hands ached, he was carrying blood soaked Jade in his arms and her condition wasn’t one to write home about, as she wouldn’t stop waking up from unconsciousness just to vomit blood and then back to her unconscious state.
“Okay so whatever she is to the Emperor that means I’m below her in terms of rank?! I want her out of this palace and immediately!!! She should go back to the forbidden forest to get killed finally–
“How did you know she got attacked in the forbidden forest?”. A stern voice asked from behind them, coming from inside the wide opened gates and everyone including Kai and the Queen Mother with widened turned to greet him.
“Did you tell her?”. The Emperor asked Kai, looking quite different from earlier and even stronger with a clear eyes since his whole face were covered.
“N-no, I don’t remember telling her anything—
“It was obvious your majesty, she was surely attacked by a beast”. The Queen Mother asked staring at the Emperor with a scared but then confused look in her eyes.
“No, you never metioned beast but more like an assasination, and kept repeating it like you knew what happedned–
“Enough”. The emperor cut Kai off as he moved closer to the Queen Mother, forcing her to lower her head, then he stopped in front of her his sharp eyes glaring deep into her skin.
“You’ve been busy lately mother”. The Emperor said and the Queen Mother looked up at him blinking in shock.
“I–of-ofcourse I’ve been busy. Af–after all I’m the Queen Mother with so many office duties”. The Queen Mother said, trying ti hide her anxious body movements.
“How about I relieve you of them?”. The Emperor asked his gaze straight but deadly and the Queen Mother’s eyes widened.
“Huh?! No-no! I-i mean I’ve become accustomed to it, it’s no big deal i can handle the stress”. The Queen Mother gulped down as she stuttered, and then the Emperor nodded saying nothing, ashe walked past her, his full gaze on his target as a glint of worry appeared in his eyes, he walked slowly to Kai taking unconscious Jade from Kai, his eyes began raging in anger as he stared at her bloody figure.
