Then Shanghai let go of her and her eyes shone gold instantly while her face formed into a frown, her fist tightened as she glared at Lord Shanghai who gave her a raised eyebrow.
“Don’t tell me you’re still so bitter Jurin”. Lord Shanghai glared back at Jade who scoffed.
“Bitter? Who threw me down from the lower realms just to please his people?!”. Jurin snapped back in anger and Shanghai’s fist tightened.
“You have responsibilities to take care of here–
“I have none. I don’t need you to send me back anymore, now that i have my memories I can just return back on my own!–
“Jurin!! You should know why you never got what you wanted! You kept acting rash and that was why you died tragically in the lower realm!!”. Shanghai sneered, then he began moving slowly round Jurin who held an angry face as her father stared disappointedly at her.
“In your first life you died recklessly because of how you wanted to make money so badly. You ended up getting killed by a mere minister for stealing his precious jewel!–
“You made me a prostitute in that life! I only wanted to buy myself out of the foolish contract of sleeping with rich men.
I took the jewel cause it was capable of setting me free from the torture i faced!”. Jurin glared at her getting red with tears.
“The second one? What happened then? Killing your father from that realm cause he arranged your wedding with a stranger–
“You know what truly happened Shanghai. The man you gave me as a father tried to rape me a night to my wedding, he had stared at me so toxically.
I only killed him to defend myself, but a servant found out and i had to get persecuted for it”. Jurin muttered and Shanghai sighed stopping on his track while standing next to her.
“I’m guessing you died unfairly in your other lives too?”. Lord Shanghai asked but no reply came from Jurin who looked like a whole new anger was building up in her.
“You should remember how you died in your fifth life then. Why did your Dammy kill you?”. Shanghai asked in a mocking tone and Jurin finally blinked for the first time since she regained her memory.
“You don’t know?”. Shanghai asked and Jurin kept quiet.
“I also don’t know. I thought you would know, but it seems Damien’s the only who holds the answer, but it happened in his past life so obviously he has no memory of it—
“Either way. I’m not staying here, I hate your face and everyone else here that ever looked down on me!
You should find someone else who would follow in your footsteps cause it certainly wouldn’t be me!”. Jade said and Shanghai frowned.
“Then it’s better you die then. Because my realm wouldn’t be in disarray when I have a daughter somewhere. It’s best I have none”. Shanghai said and Jurin nodded with a sad smile.
“Neither do I need you. I’ll be returning back to the tenth province as a reborn, not any daughter of a god!”. Jurin snapped and turned to leave.
“Without my permission you can’t get reincarnated you should know that–
“But you promised me she would return”. The Emperor’s deep voice said from behind them and Jurin’s eyes widened when she saw him.
He wasn’t putting on his mask, neither did he wear his usual black, instead he wore his royal robe and his perfect face and sharp eyes were lost staring at her also.
‘She looks different’. The Emperor thought as he tried figuring out what exactly went wrong with Jade.
He noticed the innocent and playful look and aura which Jade always possessed was absent in the girl before him, as she stood more confidently and smartly unlike Jade who was always clumsy with her standing posture.
Then Jurin instantly removed her gaze from him and the Emperor’s mind was made up.
‘She isn’t Jade’. He concluded in his head his fist tightening and eyes turning red with anger as he walked towards Shanghai and Jurin.
The Jade he knew would be happy to see he came for her, and would have been jumping excitedly but right now, the girl before him was all about avoiding his gaze .
“How did you get here Damien—
“Where’s Jade?”. Emperor Damien cut Shanghai off and Shanghai smiled before pointing at Jurin beside the Emperor.
“Has she gotten reincarnated already? For how long?”. The Emperor said ignoring where Shenghai was pointing and took in her lower lip.
“She’s standing right next to you–
“She’s not Jade! You’re not playing tricks with me right Shanghai because the girl standing right next to me isn’t Jade!!”.
