After having a nice chit chat with Julio, Kristin sat patiently waiting for Richard to come take her home, like he promised.

A man approached her in the living room of Julio’s house, and he bowed.

“Richard sent me to you”

“Why? Is he not coming to get me?” She asked.

“He is busy at the hotel alongside Luke, and that’s why he wants me to take you home” The man smiled at her.

“I will just inform Sir. Julio that I am leaving”

“No need for that, I will tell him when he comes out from the bathroom” Ophelia came out from nowhere, and Kristin stared at her.

“What are you still waiting for? Your presence sickens me, so leave” Ophelia raged.

Having no other option, Kristin left with the man and a smirk welled up on her lips.

She puts Lewis on call and he picks up at once.

“He is taking Kristin to you, I will join you shortly” She ended the call and smirked again.

“Where’s Kristin?” Julio’s voice asked, startling Ophelia.

She took a deep breath and answered; “She left with Richard”

“He didn’t bother to say goodbye?”

“Ask your son” She walked out on him.

Richard walked around a flower shop, checking on the best flowers to get for Kristin.

“Need help?” A lady approached him with a smile, but Richard shot her a glare.

“Leave”

“I was just trying to help” Came the Lady’s voice, wondering why he was icy in nature.

“I never asked for your help. Leave” He raged, so the lady had to leave.

His eyes went back to the flowers, and at the thought of Kristin, he smiled.

Only Kristin is capable of making him smile.

“I wondered which of these I’d get for my Firefly?”

Richard was still contemplating on which of these beautiful flowers he’d pick out for Kristin, when a notification on his phone distracted him.

He looked into it, and his eyes widened when he saw Kristin unconscious, with her eyes, hands, legs and mouth tied up.

A call from Lewis appeared on his screen, and his eyes darken, cellulized in anger.

“Give her back” His voice was deep and full of threats.

“Let’s play a game. If you get here on time, I might reconsider pushing her off the cliff. It’s pay back time, Richard” He laughed like a maniac.

Richard clenched his fist, his knuckles turning white.

He dashed out of the flower shop, hopped into his car, and sped away, pressing the accelerator hard.

Kristin screamed in fear when Lewis removed her blindfold, and she discovered she was seated just an inch away from the edge of a skyscraper.

Her hair was dripping with water because Lewis had forced her to wake up by splashing water on her.

“Easy, little one, I haven’t pushed you yet,” he laughed.

Kristin’s body trembled with fear as her eyes locked onto Lewis.

“Why are you doing this? I haven’t done anything wrong to you!”

“At first, you didn’t,” Lewis replied coldly, “but you slowly began to irritate me, Kristin. You keep meddling in my plans to bring Richard down.”

“He hasn’t done anything wrong. Leave him alone!” she demanded, even as she stood on the brink of death.

“Lewis smirked.

“He’s worse than the devil—an ungrateful being, that’s what he is!’ Lewis snapped in fury.”

“You’ve been sabotaging my every move. I’m done with that. I’m going to end your life here and now.”

“Then you’ll have to kill me first,’ he said, his baritone voice low and menacing, eyes darkening like those of a devil”
