Arriving in Las Vegas was a hectic one for Kristin’s parents, Romina and little Kathryn because that was awesome.
They hadn’t flown because the expenses for the four of them were too much.
They were just walking down the streets of Vegas, not knowing which direction to go.
“Maybe we should’ve just called her ask why she lied. We don’t know anyone here,” Gladys said.
“No, Gladys. I want to speak to my daughter personally. I want to know why she lied to us and got married here in Las Vegas,” Dante insisted.
Though he spoke in Filipino because of Kathryn, they didn’t want her to know that her mom was married to someone in Vegas.
He trusted Kristin so much, and that’s why it broke his heart to discover she had lied about her work here.
“I want to see my mommy. Las Vegas is beautiful!” Kathryn grinned, thinking they had only come to see her mom.
“So now that we’re here, what’s next?” Romina asked.
“The first thing is to find Kristin, then we can figure out what to do. What was the name of the hotel Richard owns?” Dante asked.
Romina searched online and said, “Glamour Empire Hotel; it’s a popular hotel here in Vegas.”
“If it’s a popular hotel, it should be easy to find. Let’s ask around for the location and go there; then we can talk to Kristin,” Dante said, and the rest of them nodded.

Richard entered the elevator with Luke, who wasn’t speaking to him.
“You won’t talk to me?”
“Has my buddy forgiven you?” Luke asked.
“No, she hasn’t.”
“Then we have nothing to say to each other,” Luke replied, turning his back.
Richard exhaled. “I really want Kristin to forgive me. Please tell me what to do.”
“You slapped her, so figure it out yourself.”
The elevator door opened, and Luke walked out.
Richard sighed regretfully. Early this morning, he had gone to Kristin’s room. He knocked several times, but she didn’t open the door for him.
He knew he deserved it, but her avoiding him was killing him.
As he tried to call Kristin to check on her, Kristin’s parents, Romina, and Kathryn entered the hotel.
“Wow! Does my mommy work here? It’s so beautiful!” Kathryn smiled, revealing her missing teeth.
Then she saw Richard walking towards the exit, his eyes on his phone. He wanted to go back home to Kristin because it felt pointless being here when his heart longed for her.
A smile erupted on Kathryn’s face as she slowly walked toward him. She slipped her hand out of Romina’s grasp and rushed toward Richard.
“Daddy!” she screamed, hugging him tightly.
Richard hated children, but though he was shocked when she hugged him unannounced, he found himself hugging her back, a smile forming on his face.
