INTO THE DEPTHS OF LOVE : CHAPTER 81 – 90
Luke entered the room, and the house was dark. Searching for the switch, he turned on the lights and discovered the room was beautifully decorated with rose petals on the bed. In the middle, a bold message spelled out, “I AM SORRY.”
He exhaled, knowing Cecelia must have done this. It had been two weeks since they last spoke. The silence was killing him because he loved her so much, but he couldn’t get over hearing her say another man’s name while they were making love.
“I’m sorry,” came Cecelia’s voice from behind.
Luke turned to see her holding a bouquet of apology flowers.
“Please stop ignoring me, love. I miss you so much, and I want the man who loves me dearly back. I don’t want us to keep drifting apart,” she pleaded.
“Who is Lewis? Is he really just a character from a movie?” Luke asked, no doubt missing his wife too.
“Yes, he’s just a character from a movie. I love you, and it would never cross my mind to cheat on you,” Cecelia swore, despite the fact that she was cheating on him.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, I’m sure. I love you so much,” Cecelia said sadly.
“Come here,” Luke said, opening his arms.
Cecelia smiled and stepped into his embrace.
“I miss you so much, Luke.”
“I miss you too. I’m sorry for ignoring you for two weeks.”
Cecelia broke the hug and smiled softly. “It’s fine, as long as we’re back to how we were. I love you so much, Luke.”
Luke caressed her hair. “I love you too, Cecelia. I love you so much that it would kill me if I found out you are cheating on me.”
“I’m not. You’re the only one my body belongs to. No one else but you,” Cecelia said, sealing her lie with a kiss.
Luke responded to the kiss; he had missed her touch and the intimacy they shared. As the kiss deepened, he lifted her off the ground, and Cecelia wrapped her legs around his waist while he squeezed her ass.
She moaned into his mouth, and they continued kissing passionately, falling onto the bed, slowly undressing each other.
INTO THE DEPTHS OF LOVE : CHAPTER 81 – 90
Richard’s eyes rested on Lewis, who was still unconscious in the hospital bed. He sighed deeply.
Though he felt bad for what he’d done to his former best friend, he didn’t feel guilty—Lewis had hurt Kristin, and that’s why he was lying there.
“Finally, I get to meet the almighty Richard Hernandez in person,” Natalie said with a smile as she wheeled her chair into the ward.
“How are you doing?” Richard asked.
“So, you know me?”
“You used to be a popular writer. Everyone in Vegas knows you,” Richard replied.
“You’re right,” she smiled. “Don’t worry, the doctor said he’ll recover soon.”
“I didn’t ask,” Richard said curtly.
“I know. Even though it doesn’t show on your face, I know you care about Lewis. You had Luke check on him, and now you’re here yourself.”
Richard said nothing.
“How’s Luke doing?” Natalie asked.
“He’s fine.”
“Is he busy? He didn’t come with you?” she asked again, hoping to see Luke.
“He’s with his wife,” Richard answered, and the smile faded from Natalie’s face. She had forgotten that Luke was married, yet she had still wished to see him.
Just then, Richard’s phone chimed. Seeing it was a text from Kristin, he smiled.
“I have to go,” he said hurriedly and rushed out.
Kristin had texted, asking where he was. She hadn’t come home last night, and when he called her earlier, she didn’t answered. That’s why when she texted, he rushed to meet her.
When he arrived home, Kristin was with Kathryn, and Kathryn ran up to him.
“Daddy Richard!”
Richard scooped her up with a smile. “How are you, Baby Kathy?”
“I’m fine! Did you miss me?” Kathryn asked, her eyes bright with excitement.
Richard chuckled and nodded.
“She’s my cousin,” Kristin said, though the lie weighed heavily on her.
“Cousin?” Richard asked, confused.
Kristin nodded slowly. “Yes, my mom’s sister gave birth to her.”
Richard smiled at Kathryn. “Nice to meet you, Baby Kathryn.”
“Nice to meet you too! Can I call you Daddy Richard? I don’t have a daddy, and you’re everything I want my daddy to be,” Kathryn said sweetly.
