JUST A KISS : CHAPTER 111 – 120

After a bit of walking, I finally found a cab and hopped in.

“Where to, ma’am?” the driver asked.

“Just take me to Dunno Street by the resort,” I mumbled, and he nodded before taking off.

I gazed out the window and let out a little sigh, closing my eyes and leaning back in my seat… wondering how Knight would react if I told him I was pregnant.

Would he be angry? Or maybe happy? Just then, the car suddenly jolted to a stop, making me jerk forward, and I opened my eyes right away.

“What was that? What just happened?” I asked.

“Ma’am… It’s…” he said, pointing ahead with a tremble in his voice. I glanced up and saw a group of masked men approaching us, and I instantly felt a wave of fear.

“Drive! Why did you stop?!” I exclaimed, noticing he was indicating something on his chest. There was a red light there, and I immediately understood what it meant.

My breathing quickened, and I started to hyperventilate. Before I knew it, they yanked open the door, and one of them roughly pulled me out of the car, making me scream in terror.

“Please… just let me go,” I pleaded, but they ignored me. They hauled me over to a van and tossed me into the back before slamming the door shut. I shrieked as I landed hard, and then I heard a voice that sounded oddly like my own say…

“Hey, doppelganger!”

I turned to see who it was, and to my shock, there stood a woman who looked just like me. She had my eyes, my body, my hair… everything! And she was grinning widely.

“Surprised?” she said with a crazy laugh, Just then, someone covered my nose from behind, and that’s the last thing I remember before everything went black.

Knight’s Penthouse
Evening

Knight’s POV

I glanced at my watch again and let out a sigh for what felt like the hundredth time. It’s already 6:00 PM, and she still isn’t here.

I called her a little while back, and she said she’d be on her way soon, but it’s been over half an hour now, and there’s still no sign of her. I’ve tried to call her again, but for some reason… her phone is off.

Cody’s not answering his phone either, which is making me more anxious… I really hope nothing’s gone wrong on their way here, I thought as I quickly called Cody again, and thankfully, he picked up right away.

“What the heck, man? Where are you?” I asked as soon as he answered his phone.

“What do you mean by ‘Where the heck am I?’ Of course I’m at your girlfriend’s place. Where else would I be?” I heard him ask, and it threw me off a bit.

“What do you mean by that? I told Bluey to have you drive her to my penthouse, and she just called a few minutes ago saying you two were on the way,” I replied, feeling pretty annoyed.

“That’s strange; she didn’t mention anything about me driving her to your place.

I was actually calling to let you know we couldn’t find her at home after Sasha and I got back from the salon. Nina just told us that Bluey said she was heading to your house,” Cody said, making me really anxious.

“She……….”I was just about to say something when my gate swung open and Bluey walked in. I instantly felt a wave of relief.

‘She’s here, Cody. Bye!’ I said, hanging up before he could reply. I watched her stroll over with a big smile on her face.

‘Good evening, Baby,’ she said, pulling me into a tight hug.

‘You scared me, Mine! Why didn’t you ask Cody to drive you, and why was your phone off?’ I asked, breaking the hug to look at her.

‘Sorry! I think there was no reception on the way since I was trying to call you too. See? My phone’s working now,’ she said, and I couldn’t help but grin a little.

‘I missed you so much, Baby, and I want you,’ she whispered before kissing me deeply.
