JUST A KISS : CHAPTER 171 – THE END

“Start from when you regained consciousness after being beaten and thrown off that bridge,” I suggested, and he sighed again.

“It’s a detailed story, my dear. Can we make love first before I dive into it?” he proposed, but I quickly crossed my arms and shook my head like a stubborn child.

“I’m guessing your pregnancy hormones are kicking in,” he joked with a chuckle.

“Alright then. After those idiots tossed me into the water… I was later found on the riverbank, and fortunately for me, my dad was out fishing. He spotted me and had his bodyguards bring me to safety.

He brought me to the hospital, and after a few days, I regained consciousness, but tragically, I had lost all my memories. I couldn’t recall my name, my home address, or anything else.

He attempted to track down my parents and even placed me on the news, but despite his efforts, no one came forward. As a result, he decided to adopt me as his son and named me Knight. After a few days, I was discharged, and he took me to his home, where I discovered that he was quite wealthy.

He introduced me to his son, Kaine, who initially took a liking to me. He was so excited about having a brother that he proudly shared the news with his friends, claiming he now had someone to play with.

I noticed that he didn’t have a wife, so I inquired about it, and he explained that she had traveled abroad.

It was later that Kaine revealed that his mother had left with a much younger man, leaving him with just his father. He exhaled deeply as he spoke.

Things were initially going well, but problems arose when Kaine started to feel extremely jealous of the attention my dad was giving me. While it’s natural to feel jealous, his emotions escalated into outright hatred.

He began to bully me in my father’s absence, even pressuring his friends to join in. One day, he pushed me down the stairs, resulting in broken legs.

He claimed he hadn’t done it, but fortunately, my dad had installed cameras in the room. Kaine was caught in the act, and as a consequence, my dad sent him to a boarding school far away.

In retrospect, that turned out to be a significant mistake on my dad’s part. Kaine fell in with a bad crowd and only got worse.

By the age of 16, he had started smoking, and one day I found him in his room injecting a substance into his veins. This deeply troubled me, so I decided to inform my dad.

To summarize, things took a drastic turn when my dad confronted Kaine after he threatened me with a gun. I felt terrible about the situation, but I knew it wasn’t my fault.

We were managing fine after that, but then one day, I returned home from school and noticed the gaurds and maids looking really moody with red eyes…….

That was the last day I ever saw him and believe that was the saddest day of my life….. He was such a good man”

“I eavesdropped on the cops who came to the house and I heard them said that he was killed by his friends so that they could take his company……They sent someone to shoot him dead”

“I was expecting the cops to get them arrested but they didn’t do anything because of dad’s friend is were rich, turned out they were bribed by the upper hands to close the case” He said with a frown and by now I was beginning to get really nervous”.

“They couldn’t succeed because….. As if he knew he that this was going to happen……..His lawyer said that dad willed everything to me and they grew really mad and planned to kill me”

“I became scared and knew that if I don’t run away…… They’ll come for me so I ran away from home, Not without getting all their names. I went to a town quite far from here and that was when I found Cody and Creed,

They knew I was stranded and took me in even without knowing who I was………..

So I opened up to them and told them what happened…… how I plan on avenging dad’s death……so they insisted that they’ll help me avenge his death”

“We all learnt things to be killers, Creed is quite good in combat, Cody is a great shooter and I’m really good with Knives and guns too. So I hired more boys with the money that dad left for me and that was how I built a gang”

“If you noticed…… I only killed the rich and I never took their money……. They were all my dad’s killers…… He was so good and that was how they paid him so I told myself “A life for a life”.
