“Wow son! You are a real man! Baiyu teased Luther who blushed in return
“We are leaving” he cleared his throat and walk out with Tiffany fuming beside him
“Finally” Gregory said breathing out in relief and Baiyu laugh
“You and your daughter-in-law seems to be so close” Baiyu said sipping from her wine
“We aren’t, she is so petty” He snorted with a reddened face avoiding Baiyu’s eyes
Baiyu knew he was lying but decided to wave it off
“Any progress about our daughter? She asked and Greg shook his head
“Nothing as of now” he replied with a sigh

“Mom are you okay? Anika asked noticing that Yuri has been spacing out for a long time
They were both at the living room looking at their old pictures
Hearing her daughter’s voice, Yuri came out of her daze
“Am fine”she replied calmly but Anika knew that it was a lie
She sighed and dropped the album in her hand beside her
She held Yuri’s two hands
“Mom am your daughter,if there’s anything bothering you,share it with me”
Yuri stared at the girl who she had raised from toddler and took a deep breath
“Anika can I ask you something? She said nervously
“Ask me anything Mom” Anika replied with a smile
“Anika what if your real parents are searching for you now? Yuri asked staring at Anika deeply
Anika’s body stiffened on hearing Yuri’s question
Her question really caught her off guard but on remembering she was abandoned by them, her demeanor became cold
“It doesn’t change the fact that they abandoned me” Anika replied coldly
“Anika what if your real parents didn’t abandoned you?
“What did you mean Mom? Anika said with a frown
“Anika I think I might know who your real parents are” Yuri dropped the chase
“You.. know who they are? Yuri asked looking surprised and Yuri nodded in reply
“Though am not fully sure” she added immediately
“Who are my real parents?.
“Remember my best friend Baiyu? The mother of your ex-fiance Luther?
“What does this have to do with her? Is she probably… Anika trailed off as she realized what Yuri was trying to explain
“My biological mom? She completed with a gasp
“Yes” Yuri replied calmly.
