I heard the kids voice asking rose if she slept in my room.
I placed my ear on the door to eavesdrop.
” Uhnmm..not really I actually came to wake him up, i promise to do so last night so he won’t be late for an important meeting” she lied.
I tried not to laugh.
She didn’t want the kids to know she slept here?
“She slept in my room” I said opening the door.
The kids gasped covering their hands with their mouth.
Rose looked at me but I smiled.
” Mum and dad slept together” Angel said.
” Yes they did” Mabel said.
” Is it has for mum and dad to sleep together in the same room? I asked.
They shook their head negatively smiling.
” Do you want me to tell you want happened in the room last night? I asked the kids winking at rose.
The kids nodded their head.
” Do you know what your mum actually told me last night ? I asked.
” Please tell us dad” Angel said.
” Your mum actually, you know your mum wants to…
” What are you going to tell them? Rose arched her brow.
“Am gonna tell them how you wanted me to kss you” I whispered in her ear sweetly.
She gasped.
” Girls do you still want to know what your mum did? I asked.
They nodded their head eagerly.
I looked at rose.
” Your mum wanted me to to to..
” To what dad? Mabel asked.
” Uhmmmm girls let’s go to the room, you will be late for school” rose said frowning at me.
I laughed
” Mum wait, let dad tell us” Angel said.
Rose looked at me.
I smiled.
” Dad, we are waiting” Mabel said.
” I will tell you later, go get ready for school” i said smiling.
” Promise? Angel asked.
I looked at rose.
She shook her head negatively.
” No promise Angel, please go get ready, I will drop you off to school” i said.
Rose breathed relieved.
I smiled widely.
” Let’s go girls” she said taking the kids to the room.
I laughed.
She is really cute though.
Am happy she slept in my room last night.
Such a sleeping beauty.
I spent all my night looking at her beautiful face.
I pecked her nose last night while she was asleep.
I smiled.
I entered into the bathroom.

? Rose ?
I got in with kids.
I get them ready for school.
I got into the kitchen.
I served the kids bread and tea.
That is the simplest meal I can prepare this morning.
I couldn’t prepare breakfast all thanks to Nathaniel.
If only I didn’t sleep in his room.
I would have woke up early.
I smiled.
Sleeping in his room was actually sweet.
I laid my head on his chest.
” Mum, why are you smiling? Angel asked jerking me out of my thoughts.
” Uhmmmm..it’s nothing Angel” i said.
” She is smiling because of me” Nathaniel said coming to the dinning.
I gasped.
He winked at me and sat down.
” Mum, you are thinking about dad? Angel teased.
” My cheeks is red” Mabel beamed.
I looked at Nathaniel.
He smiled and looked away.
I composed myself and clear my throat.
” Please eat your breakfast” I said.
We started eating.
I felt someone gaze on me
I looked up and caught Nathaniel staring at me with smiles on his face.
I blushed and face my breakfast.
We finished the breakfast.
” Your dad will drop you off like he said” i said.
” Are you not coming along? He asked.
” No..i can’t come wearing this” i said referring to my night wear.
” Why can’t you change? He asked.
” Uhmmmm…the kids will be late for school” i said.
” Mum, please come with us” Angel pout.
” Please mum” mabel pout.
” But you will be late for school” i said.
” Don’t worry mum” she said.
I sighed.
” Okay, I will be back” i said.
I climbed the stairs.
Got into my room.
I took a quick bath.
And dressed up.
I got down but they are not in the sitting room..
Have they left?
I got out and saw Nathaniel standing by the car.
He kept staring at me as I walked to him.
” Where are the kids? I asked.
” Uhnmmmm in the kids” he said staring at me.
” Is Something on my face? I asked.
” You are beautiful rose” he said.
I smiled.
” Let’s go”
We got into the car.
The driver drove off to the kids school.
We got there.
He parked the car.
“Mum, dad please come down” angel Said.
” Why? I asked.
” Please” Mabel pouted.
The kids came down.
I also got down.
The kids wore their bags.
Nathaniel came down.
” We want you to walk with us to our classes” Angel said.
I arched my brow” why?
” Please mum” Mabel pleaded.
I looked at Nathaniel but he smiled.
” Okay kids” let’s go.
Mabel held my hand.
Nathaniel held my hand while Angel held his hand.
We walked together into the kids.
” Look there” we heard.
” One big family”
We heard the students whispering.
We got in.
Angel and Mabel couldn’t stop smiling.
We got into Angel class.
Very large and neat.
The seats are neatly arranged.
We met some pupils there .
” Everyone listen, I will like to introduce my parents to you” she yelled.
Everyone turned to look at us.
Some gasped.
” Some of you believe I don’t have a mum but here look, this is my mum and am sure you all know my dad” she said.
Nathaniel laughed.
I smiled.
” Such a drama queen”
” This is my mum, this is my dad and this is my little sister” she said pointing at everyone of us.
I waved at them.
While Nathaniel just smiled.
We got out of her classes.
And Angel did the same in Mabel class.
We bade them goodbye.
We got into the car.
” Angel is just so sweet” I said.
” Not as sweet as you” Nathaniel said.
My cheek flushed.
” I will like to show you something” he said.
” What? I asked.
” I just hope you will forgive me” he said.
I looked at him confused.
” Promise me you will forgive me” he said.
” Okay, I promise” I said.
” Take us to the other mansion” he instructed thr driver.
Other mansion?
The driver drove in, into a big Mansion but as big as where we live.
We got into.
I followed Nathaniel until we got into a room.
He opened it and I got in.
I gasped.
I saw mum and dad tied together with their face bruise.
” Mum” i called tears welled up in my eyes.
She looked at me.
” Rose” she called weakly.
I looked at Nathaniel.
” Rose, am sorry” dad said.
” Why are you here? I asked.
Mum and dad looked at Nathaniel.
I looked at him.
? Nathaniel ?
” Come with me now” she said sternly walking out.
I followed her.
” Why did you do that? She half yelled.
” I only did it for you” i said.
” Why?
” I only made them felt the pain, you felt” I said.
” Really?
I nodded my head.
” Nathaniel, this were the parents who took me in and took care of me like their own, they sent me to the best school that they could afford, they were there for me when I had no one” she half yelled.
” But they hurt you” i half yelled.
She looked at me.
Tear rolled down her cheeks.
I cleaned it.
” Am sorry” I said.
” I don’t have anything against them, you shouldn’t have punished them” she said.
” Am sorry” i said.
” Please forgive me” I said.
She looked at me.
” I have forgiven you” she said.
I kssed her forehead and hugged her.
” Please, release them and let them go” she said.
” Rose..
” Please..
” Is that want you want? I asked.
She nodded her head.
” Okay, I will” i said kssing her forehead.
She smiled and placed her head on my chest.
