What if she sends me out? Those were the questions running through her mind right now.
“Darling, how are you doing?” She asked with concern, and Martin nodded.
“Mum?” Charlotte called as she walked downstairs, and she rushed towards her, hugging her tightly, making everyone laugh.
“Mummy’s girl,” James teased, and Charlotte glared at him.
“Princess,” Mrs. Parker called and kissed her cheek.
Her eyes slowly turned to look at the remaining three people in the sitting room, increasing Evelyn’s fears.
Martin chuckled, seeing Evelyn’s expression.
“Mum, that’s my…” Martin was about to introduce when the door opened, and Mr. Parker walked in, and Martin frowned.
His friends looked at each other and then sighed. They knew how much they didn’t get along.
“What are you doing here?” he asked rudely, and his father scoffed.
“Can’t a father visit his son?” Mr. Parker raised his eyebrows, and Martin frowned.
“Wait for it,” James whispered in Liam’s ear.
“No… there has to be a reason why Mr. Parker is here.”
“I heard the news,” Mr. Parker said, and Martin huffed.
Evelyn was just staring at them, not understanding why the father and son were quarreling.
“Don’t even use that to cover it. We both know that if I were on the edge of dying, you wouldn’t show up.
All you care about is business and your second wife,” Martin yelled.
Mr. Parker really didn’t know what to say. He was saying the opposite of what he believed.
He cared about business, but that didn’t mean he didn’t care about his son.
“Enough, Martin… He is your father,” his mother yelled, and Martin scoffed.
“I am doubting that.”
“Martin,” Evelyn called softly, and Martin stopped immediately.
She didn’t know what was going on, but she really hated seeing Martin talking to his father that way.
Everybody’s eyes widened as Martin kept quiet, not uttering a single word.
He glared at his father before walking upstairs, and Evelyn followed immediately.
“She really has him wrapped around her little finger,” James said.

Alexander lay on the hospital bed with handcuffs on his hands. He groaned weakly, trying to get up.
He really regretted his actions now, and he knew he was going to jail.
He should never have messed with Martin in the first place.
The door opened, and a nurse walked in. She was dressed in a white coat and wearing a mask.
She didn’t say anything and simply brought out the injection towards him.
“Tom said goodbye,” she whispered in his ear and almost immediately p!erced the !njection deeply into his sk!n.
Within a few seconds, his skin became pale. He couldn’t breathe, and he started jerking, bI.ood coming out from his nose, mouth, and eyes.
She smirked and quickly rushed out as the hospital alarm rang, indicating da.nger…
