We entered the hospital and met Valerie seated on the bed beside Harris leg.

My head sparked and my eyes raced through the room .

Their heads were fixed into each other. What the h’ll is going on? Just when I told Valerie not to talk to Harris why does this have to happen?

“Valerie? I called her name in a more alarming tone as she jumped up as if she was startled.

“Harris? The boys said entering inside the room as we locked the door .

“Guys…” . He said as Valerie helped him up.

“How did it happen? I faced Valerie but she ignored me after eyeing me .

“Harris,tell us man….you just left the house without telling us where you went to . Who does that? Rick said .

We all surrounded the bed . His arm was bandaged so was his forehead. He looked d’vilish and pitiable.

“I’m sorry guys”. He muttered.

“You still haven’t answered our questions Harris? How did this accident happen? Was Valerie and Jenny with you ? Stop putting us in the dark knowing fully well that we’re worried sick about you”. I said infuriated.

“Calm down Drake! Go easy on him. As you can see,he’s just recovering. How it happened doesn’t matter at all, what matters more is that he is fine and yes he should recover anytime from now”. Valerie raised her voice.

Is she trying to defend him or what?

We were all speechless.

“I went out to meet an old friend of mine when I was ganged up by some hoodlums and I was beaten”.

“Who do you think would do that? Dennis said

“I sincerely don’t know. I didn’t offend anyone”. Harris said

“Were you robbed? Maybe they’re thieves…or what do you think? Rick added

“No! I wasn’t. Guys , it’s fine, good thing I’m okay and was not injured that much. I just hope this doesn’t reach the media”. He said.

? AUTUMN ?

I was having a manicure and pedicure treatment when I overheard some female attendants talking about Harris .

“Oh my gosh! The American idol has been injured. He is brvtally injured”.

“He still looks so cute despite what he is facing”

“Who is that lady?

“You mean the one in glasses? I heard she came to his rescue. She’s such a life saver. Who knows maybe they’ll end up together”

“Awwwn,her name is Valerie. Harris and Valerie looks cute together you know”

They gossiped . I had pretend not to hear what the said earlier on but this last statement got on my nerves.

“What? I sprang up removing the cucumber from my eyes.

“Miss… what’s the matter? They fidget. They knew very well that I’m Harris girlfriend, besides I’m a regular customer.

“What did you say about Harris? I said .

“He was beaten by some hoodlums and it was very fatal that he loses his arm “. One said.

“He was saved by a lady called Valerie, and he’s currently in the hospital as we speak to you”. The other lady said.

“What? My Harris was injured and saved by that wench….arghhhh”. I screamed and stood up.

“Calm down miss Autumn, I have the hospital address if you want”. She said and wrote the address down immediately as I drove down there .

On my way I called my mother.

“Mommy”. I sobbed.

“Princess… what’s the matter? Talk to me? Mom said

“Arghhhh…! I screamed again

“Mom, could you believe it? Harris got involved in an accident and he got saved by that wench I told you about. Mom we need to get rid of her …. besides, I thought you said you discussed with Mrs Grayson about the marriage? I said .

“Calm down my love, I discussed with her and she’ll give me feedback as soon as possible”. Mom explained.

“Okay,fine…but I’ll give that Valerie girl a taste of her medicine. Bye Mom”. I said and hanged up.

I took my stuffs and headed to the hospital where they were.

I got to the hospital and met them. Valerie was beside him,she was even feeding him coffee

What effrontery!

“Harris? Oh my gosh! Who the hell did this to you? I ran inside leaving the door as I pushed her away and collected the cup from her .

“Autumn? What are you doing here? He said sitting up and guarding his bandaged arm well .

“What do you mean what am I doing here? It’s all over the news that you got injured,some girls saw you and took your pictures with this miserable girl”. I said eyeing Valerie.

“Stop it Autumn. That’s impolite. Valerie and Jenny here helped me, so you should be thankful”.

“Anyways! You’re okay now”. I kssed him

They all stood there watching us as we played our love.

? MRS DALLAS ?

“Hello Mrs Grayson”.

“My dear friend…and in-law to be,how are you? She said laughing

“I’m fine,why didn’t you attend the wedding of Lauren’s son ? It was glamorous”.

“Really? I was actually busy, I was at Paris and I couldn’t travel down back to America. I’m still at Paris now…. I’ve been very busy . How did it go?

“Hmmm..it was splendid and I can’t wait to see our children do that too. That’s why I called you actually”

“Ohh that. Harris have been busy with his career I guess. It’s been a while I heard from him maybe he’s taking after his father now”. She said

“Hmmm…My daughter called my not quite long and told me about his health”. I said

“Health? What do you mean by his health? My son is hale and hearty only for the fact that I’ve not heard from him since last week”.

“Yes, he had an accident ! ”

“What? Oh my gosh! My poor son”. She screamed. I had to put petrol to the fire to make sure she visits America and take every obstruction away like that Valerie girl at their school.

“Yes ohhh….and she said God actually saved him, you can check online yourself. His hands were even bandaged and his head was bandaged too. I just hope his cute face has not been ruined”. I said sarcastically.

“Ohh sht! I need to come to America as soon as possible”

“Oh dear. I’m so sorry! Autumn has gone to his place to check up on him , when you come back we’ll discuss their marriage details” .

I said and hanged up as I smiled .

I’m finally getting my own share of the Harris properties.
