I got home and then inside as if I’m being chased.

I opened my door and met Dennis and Ricky in the sitting room. Their expressions showed that they’ve seen the pictures.

“Guys…I swear I wanted to send it to our group chat then I mistakenly sent it to the school’s group chat”. I said .

“Seriously? Harris? And you expect is to believe that tattle tale? Dennis said

“Even if you’re gonna hurt Valerie, didn’t you even consider Drake who has feelings for her?

“What do you want everyone to say concerning it? You need to make amendment Harris”. Ricky said in annoyance too.

The both scolded me like their little brother.

“Guysss…. scolding me can’t reverse the picture and the repost everyone has done. I’m sorry and I didn’t mean to…the solution now is how can I reverse the picture? How? How do I escape from this silly mess I’ve dropped myself into”. I said sitting down

I was sweating profusely.

“Okay, Dennis…give him a break, it’s a bet and we all planned this so let’s not put the blame on him, what next is how are we gonna clear it ok social media”. Ricky said when my phone rang .

It was Autumn. I’m in for trouble!

But wait a minute, I’m the guy she doesn’t have any right over me

I picked her call

“Harris??? She yelled from the phone. I had to toss the phone away from my ears so she won’t destroy my ear drum .

“Babe, it was a set up…I mean, it was the bet I told you about”

“How dare you…I thought you loved me? Mom must know about this” . She said and hanged up .

“Oh sht! Mom? Wait…which Mom is she talking about? Dennis said.

“If it is your Mom then we can’t be here…you know how she’s like”. Ricky added .

I was becoming confused when the doorbell rang.

I wasn’t expecting anyone.

Who could that be?

After weeks of social media bullying and physical bullying from everyone including Autumn and her girls .

Everyone hated me.

Nobody wants to be my friend, I couldn’t stain Jennifer and Jeffery with my own dirt so I avoided them as possible as I can but they were too stubborn especially Jenny.

She’s a true friend and sister.

I locked myself indoor for weeks. I skipped classes and switched off my phone

How dare Harris? I can’t believe he moved on while I’m facing this guilt.

It is dangerous to fall in love with the wrong person. Maybe Drake was right? Maybe Jenny was right .

“Valerie? If you won’t go to school at least you’ll come down to eat breakfast”. Nanny knocked on my door for the umpteenth time .

“Go away Nanny”. I threw my pillow at the door .

My hair was messy and I was stinking. My mouth reeks of bad odor from what I’ve eaten the previous weeks. I feel so sick and I’ve been throwing up for weeks now.

I’ve been bed ridden. My room was a habitation of banana peels, pizza cartons, biscuits nylon, sweet wrappers, candies and lots of junks that I bought before locking myself up in the room .

Sometimes, I’d sneak to the fridge at night and take a gallon of milk and some biscuits too when Nanny Jade is asleep.

I don’t wanna talk to anyone at all . I feel so useless and miserable.

I stood up and made my way into the bathrooms to check if I was still good to look at .

I look like a mad woman. The mascara on my face has worn out.

I went to my room back and sat on the bed when my eyes raced to a rope .

The click clack of my fan kept rolling and it kept sounding in my ears . My stomach rumbled, it was as if an explosion wanted to happen.

I held my tummy and ran to the toilet as I vomited. This stomach will not stop me from doing what I wanna do.

I walked out back after washing my mouth and face .

I took the top and stared at it.

“Go ahead Valerie…after all nobody wants you…they rejected you” . A voice said .

“Yes, she’s right…they rejected and neglected you. Harris that claim to like you also never looked back . So what is your purpose on Earth? Why are you living then?

The voices popped up in my head and formed little figure of my tattered self.

“Just end your life and rest in peace, imagine after what happened the other day. Your parents never discussed anything with you again”

“Especially your father. That miserable being, I wish you’re an orphan because having them in your life brings you nothing but pain, pain and pain”. The voice said again .

“End it here Valerie…end it here”. They echoed

“Take the rope,climb the stool…end it here”.

“End it now…take the rope and use the fan Valerie everyone hates you including Harris whom you choose to love” .

They kept echoing those words in my ears . I covered my ears but it became louder. I took the rope and was screaming.

“Stop… stop”. I shouted and took the rope as I wrapped it round my neck .

I switched off the fan and climbed the stool as I reached for the fan with the rope.

I thought about writing a goodbye note to Nanny Jade and everyone who showed me love throughout my miserable life .

But I gave it a second thought. It ain’t necessary.

I closed my eyes and wrapped the rope round my neck and connected it to the fan.
