Episode 8
Zoey’s Perspective:
I felt so cold and shivery. Where was the doctor? Why is he taking so long?
I sat with my mom in the doctor’s office as we awaited the doctor to show up with the test results.
I just hope I get diagnosed and treated soon. I really need to get rid of this strange feeling.
“He’ll be here soon, okay?” My mom placed her hand on mine and reassured me, and I just nodded. We were facing each other as we sat.
Finally, the door opened, and I heaved a huge sigh of relief as I turned to see the doctor coming in.
Thank goodness.
He looked moody as he walked in slowly and went to the other side of the table to take his seat.
“Sorry for keeping you waiting,” he spoke calmly and adjusted his glasses.
He had a piece of paper with him – probably the test results.
“Oh! It’s nothing,” my mom quickly said.
“Please doctor, how is she? What’s wrong with her?”
He hesitated for a while and dropped the paper on the table.
“Well…” He took off his specs.
“The…test was successful, and the results are out.”
He paused and sighed. Hold on; why is he acting this way?
“This is the test result, ma’am,” he picked up the paper and handed it to my mom.
She opened it curiously.
“I’m afraid… your daughter here… is pregnant,” he announced.

Zosar’s Perspective:
I sat in my private jet as I awaited the pilot to land at the airport. We made it!
Finally, I was in America.
Oh, Hathor. I pray I get to find you. I hope you’re still alive.
Hathor and I… we got acquainted two years ago. But those two years had seemed to be the best years of my life.
She was unique, and it still puzzled me how she got to capture my heart so easily.
Everything was fine, but two months ago, she discovered she was pregnant.
She was scared and had wanted to terminate it, but I encouraged her and asked her not to do away with it.
I swore with my life never to abandon her and the baby, and that’s the reason she kept it.
“But a few days back, she discovered one of my father’s officials was behind the death of her parents, and it angered her. She wanted revenge.
I tried talking her out of it, but she wouldn’t listen and she klled him, violating the king’s orders. And that way, she became a traitor.
Dad wanted to lock her up, but she ran away. I have no idea how she was able to do it, but she ran away and came down here to America.
But I was able to talk to dad and convince him, and he has agreed not to punish her anymore, and that’s the reason I’m here, looking for her so we could all go home and start our family.
I just pray I find her.
Although it was a bit convincing. I couldn’t really feel her presence, but I could feel that of the baby, and that only means she’s alive, right?
If the baby’s alive, she should be alive as well.
So, yes, I’m going to find her.
Just in case you’re wondering how I intend to find her, well, that’s part of my special powers.
As long as we’ve had intercourse, there’s a bI.ood connection, and I’ll be able to trace you wherever you may be.
I reached for my bag and brought out her picture, staring at it.
Hopefully, I plan on finding her today so we could leave for Egypt tomorrow.

Zoey’s Pov:
I scoffed and looked at mum, her eyes buried in the paper.
“What?” I flinched and looked at the doctor.
“What…What’re you talking about, doctor? What do you mean I’m pregnant?”
“It’s stated there in the test, ma’am. And with the look of things, I think you should be up to 3 months or there about,” he said, making me more perplexed. Is he joking or what?
I blinked my lashes and tried to comprehend what was going on.
Was he trying to fool us or what?
“Doctor,” I called fraily.
“I don’t understand a single word you’ve said.
Were you paid by someone to play pranks on us or what? What’s going on?”
“Miss, how could I possibly want to play pranks with something as vital as this?
