CHAPTER 8

?? GODIVA’S MANSION

Godiva alighted from the car and Vespertine did same..he didn’t even wait to hear what she was going to say before walking out on her

” Hey mo..rón..” She yelled after him before following him..

Vespertine got into his room and shut the door from inside

” That bastàrd..” she cvrsed, looking around the sitting room, observing to see if she’s gonna find any fault. She sighed before walking into her room since she found none.

She fell on her bed and picked up her phone to browse the web where she came across some cute bedspread

” Oh my, these are totally my style..” she smiled and immediately placed her orders

She tossed her phone away and laughed briefly when she remembered how the principal had wet his pants

” They’ll regret ever laying a finger on my brother ”

She left for the bathroom and came out minutes later refreshed.

She got a comfortable gown from her wardrobe before before leaving her room to Vespertine’s

” Hey, aren’t you gonna eat something? Wanna tell Larina I’m starving you?” She asked but got no reply

” Are you mád at me?” She asked again but he wouldn’t reply still

he was avoiding her on purpose so she wouldn’t talk about the car

” He must be sleeping..” she muttered and left for the dining..

Her meal was served and she started eating but stopped abruptly when she ate stone

” Gosh, who wanna remove my teeth?” She questioned, spiting out the food in her mouth back to the plate

” Lydia..” she called calmly

She wasn’t in the mood to shout that moment cos she might end up klling someone in the house

Lydia rushed in with few of the maids

” Who cooked this? ” She asked

” I did..” a girl replied

” C’mon Lydia, I told you to teach them their duties didn’t I?” She asked and Lydia nodded

” I know you did but they were careless to concentrate..” She smiled this time and they all knew what it meant

She faced the girl with a smile

” You’re…..

” GODIVA!!!” her mom interrupted

” What? ” She turned to her mom..” Jeez.. can’t believe I wasn’t able to fire the second person today all because of you and that bstard I have as a brother” she grumbled

She stared angrily at the maids then at her mom

” Today is just too boring.. ” she muttered lowly. She couldn’t fire anyone and that made her day boring

” Why did you do that to Mr. Hamburger or whatever his name is? Why?” Larina asked

” You agree his name sounds like hamburger too right?” She laughed loudly

” Shut up!! That wasn’t funny ” Larina snapped and she stopped laughing

” I know right ” she said clearing her throat. “So why are you here?”

” Since you’re dressed, let’s go somewhere together.. her mom said while she gave her mom strange looks

” Hope it isn’t another blind date or shaman’s place?” She questioned but her mom didn’t reply as she pulled her up

” Let go mom, I’m not a kid..” she repined, releasing her hands from Larina’s grip

She turned to Lydia. ” Someone will come for a delivery, sign it in my name and let him fix it in my room okay?”

” Alright ma’am..’ Lydia replied and Godiva walked out of the mansion with her mom. They got out and her driver was waiting for her already

” Why does this look like a plan work?? ” She wondered entering the car and Her mom did Same

” I thought you said it’s wasn’t a shaman’s home?” Godiva stared at her mom unbelievably

” Yeah, let’s say I lied..”

” There’s no way I’m going in there ” she folded her hands

” You will young lady ” her mom replied pulling her forcefully into the small house

They got into the house and Larina immediately released her

” Nicolas will surely get it hot from me this time around.. ” she balled her fist tightly before sitting in front of the shaman.

She was just glaring at the shaman as she did her thing

The Shaman began the ritual to ease Godiva of her attitude, a talisman was placed on her forehead while the shaman kept chanting some words..

The talisman suddenly change color and Larina smiled. She was happy the new shaman had more power than the others she met in the past

The shaman kept chanting nonstop until Godiva got tired. To her, everything seemed like a scam but She decided to play along so her mom would be convinced it worked on her and stop bringing her to such places

She kept turning around and turning her head and rolling her eyes like she was possessed. She was putting on a show and she was happy her mom was falling for it

The shaman suddenly h!t her forehead hard, trying to attach another talisman on it and that was all it took to get on her nerves

” Hey, you wanna kll me? Don’t you know the sI.ap hurt? And this… ” she trailed off, removing the talisman from her head.

” This don’t work on me.. I was just performing a show seconds ago ” she scoffed

” I think your deities and godmother didn’t answer your cry ” she said. Her mom tried stopping her but she wouldn’t listen

The shaman didn’t give up but continue with what she was doing. She was about touching Godiva again and she scoff

” I guess she doesn’t even know my name is Godiva..” she smirked.

Before the shaman’s hands could touch her head, she immediately landed her a sI.ap and immediately the shaman spoke in strange tongues

” I told you those things doesn’t work on me fóól.. you can choose to scam Larina but don’t get me involved okay?” She snapped and stormed out of the house. Larina was speechless, she didn’t know what to do or say that moment

” I’m sorry.. ” she said to the shaman before running after her daughter

Godiva stared At Nicolas her driver and immediately let out a dry laugh

She entered the car without saying a word and her mom did Same as they drove their way back home

She stepped down from the car without saying any words to her mom.. the drive home was a quiet one too

She immediately faced Nicolas

” You know what? You’re FIRED.. ” she said to him and walked into the house while her mom rushed after her

” Godiva ” her mom pulled her back

” What? Wanna take me to another shaman?” She asked angrily

” I.. please diva, you shouldn’t fire the poor guy, I am the one at fault ”

” Then you should hire him yourself cos the last time I checked, you don’t even have a driver.. ” she replied

” Lydia.. ” she called and the maids rushed in

” The delivery man, did he come?” She asked

” Yes he did and he left not long ago ”

” Did you check the room?” She asked again but Lydia shook her head in denial

” Good thing you didn’t..” She said, turning to the two maids next to Lydia

” You and you, you’re both fired…” She said and Larina gasped

” Why?” Larina asked

” She cooked Stony food which almost removed my teeth and this one left my dining looking like a pig’s barn ” she replied

” You can’t do this Diva”

” I already did..” she replied and made her way to her room.

The two girls went on their knees and began to cry

” I’ll talk to her.. Lydia please take them inside..” Larina said and Lydia did exactly what she said

Vespertine shook his head from where he’s been watching the scene

” I’ve told you to stop taking her to places like that, she gets even more scary after leaving such places..” Vespertine told his mom

” I know, I was just hoping this one would be different ” Larina sighed

” I’ll talk to her ” she said and Vespertine nodded before leaving for the dining to eat.

” OMG!! this is pretty..” Godiva gushed happily, staring at the bedspread

” Give me few minutes I need to freshen up ” she kssed the bedspread

” Can’t believe that woman took me to those people again… ” she hissed and walked to her bathroom.

Larina placed a knock on Godiva’s room but got no reply. She opened the door and her eyes landed on Godiva’s bed only to see the shock of her life

Large snakes which seemed like they were gonna attack her were lying on the bed

” OMG.. snakes!!! ” She screamed at the top of her voice and passed out immediately.
