RED AND THE ALPHA : CHAPTER 11 – 20

Red smiled so brightly finally feeling at ease.

He had assured her that no harm from any one would come to her.
At the end of the day, she retired to her room.

She heard noises from outside and shortly after, a lady stepped in, her eyes fully on Red.

“It…it’s you” she uttered taking slow steps towards her and as she neared her, it was then Evelyn could see the crystal tears that lingered in her eyes before she muttered.

“Agatha” gently placing her hands on Red’s cheek, Red looked at her with curiosity in her eyes.

“I’m not Agatha” she responded but the woman went ahead calling her that same name.

“What did they do to you?” She asked trying to pull her by the wrists when suddenly,

“What are you doing here?” Asked a deep voice from behind and there Cedric, the alpha’s Beta was seen leaning on the doorframe.
The lady whose name was still unknown to Red used her body to shield her.

“Don’t do this please” she pleaded only to hear him sigh and with the click of his hand, the two ladies from earlier went forward to grab unto her hand pulling her away.

“You’re tired get some rest”

“I’m not tire…”

“Don’t make me angry. The alpha won’t like you here” growled Cedric for the woman to keep shut and just as they took her away, Cedric, drakko’s Beta stepped forward.

“You should rest.
Enjoy the time you have presently”
He said and taking one last look at her, left the room.
Red couldn’t understand his words but didn’t pay much attention to him.

The day went by but Red didn’t see Drakko after that day.
Food was brought to her, and everyone treated her like some queen making her wish to never leave this place.

For the first time after so long she really liked here and she seemed to like Drakko.

“Mate” she uttered the word.
It sounded nice to know there was someone who wouldn’t let harm come to you.

As she strolled round the luxurious place, she heard noises coming from the end of the hall way but when she tried to explore the area, she was restricted saying Drakko didn’t permit it.

She was allowed to go anywhere else but not there.
All through the while she was here, she heard some of the maids talking about a special event that would happen on the third day but she didn’t know what it was.

At last, the third day finally arrived.
Maids, men and women walked up and down get themselves readied for the big event an event which Red had no idea.

When she tried to walk about the place, Cedric stopped her insisting today, she should stay in her room.
Now Red didn’t know why and didn’t want to be on anyone’s bad side but curiosity gnawed at her to know what today was about and so, she asked one of the maids who simply replied.

“It’s a big day for you.
Everything is arranged just for you” she answered but it made no sense to her.

Just as she took her afternoon sleep, she was awoken when she felt someone touch her skin.

At first she thought it was nothing but when the feeling came again and again, she peered her eyes open, her mouth gasping only to be closed by a big hand to her lips.

“Shhh. Don’t make a noise”
Said the lady from before.
Up close, Red could see her grey hair on top of her head showing she was elderly.

Only after Red nodded did she release her hand from her mouth.

“What are you doing?” Asked Red to her.

“You have to get out of here. They’ll kill you”

“Who will kill me?”

“Them. They… They will kill you.
He’s lying.
He’s pretending.
He’s not nice Agatha.
He’s a green snake” she spoke holding on to her hand, her nails digging into her hand.

“What are you talking about?” Asked Red still confused.

“You have to leave!” Shouted the woman in a frantic mode, tears hung to her eyes.

“They’ll dress you up tonight just so you can meet him.
Agatha you have to run”

“Whose Agatha?”

“You have to…” Just before she could finish her sentence, noises came from the distance making the lady stand to her feet and hurriedly, she left the place.
