for one throbbing moment Jericho stared at her, his gaze dropping to her mouth and she thought he was going to kiss her lips but instead, his head dipped a depressed warm damp kiss into the curve of her shoulder

in an instant, the hunger that imprinted her skin was obliterated by a Hunger of an entirely different kind, need thrummed through her body, lighting a million tiny fires.

Jericho’s tongue struggled with the sensitive skin beneath Her ear as he continued thrusting into her, sending delicious chills rippling through her body.

“I would love to taste you all over,” His voice was husky.

Hustling, she reached for him, her finger sliding into his thick soft hair, holding on against the wave upon wave of desire that tugged at her, threatening to pull her loose from her walls but she was determined to get this over with. To take back her curse cos she knew, he was close to release.

Reaching inside her, she pulled her strength, pulling on the energies of the earth, she imagined it in her hands. Her palm began to glow and she placed it in his eyes, retracting, but almost immediately, His hands snagged her wrists and he pulled her hands away from him, wrenching her arms above her head none too gently as he lifted his head and looked at her.

“No magic yet, I wanna get a bite of you from all angles, I want to fûçk your brains out,” He breathed in her ears.

Disappointment cut her off, clamping her mouth shut she gulped emptiness. The sêx had felt so good that she’d almost forgotten who he was. A senseless human!

He was still staring when that glimpse of softness suddenly disappeared, taking on a sharp edge as if she were determined to remind him why they were doing this.

She shook her body violently, his dîçk slid out of her, dropping on her thigh in the cool air with her wetness dripping on the bed.

She swung her leg high and fast, kicking him solidly in the nose with her heel.

“Fûçk!!!” He let out a sickening scream of pain, his blood pooling on the bed with her already on her feet and far away from him.

“When I say don’t touch, you don’t touch!” She rasped furiously.

That softness he saw in her a while ago was all gone, that gentleness, all was gone, replaced by a rage he couldn’t make off.

He swiped at the blood on his face then smirked.

“Smiley…”

A knock came on the door, they both stared at the door and he chuckled.

He put on his clothes, turning over to her. She was already done but she wasn’t looking at him, she had that veil covering her face once more and gwad… She was stunning!

He wish he could see her clearly this close… He will just have to come back for the next healing.

Jericho walked out the door to see Xander, he didn’t bother to stop cos he couldn’t really make out who he was.

He was about to walk past when Xander pulled him back by his arm.

“What are you doing in the queen’s bedchamber?” His voice was rough and mean, his eyes blazing with jealousy.

Jericho hit his hand away Instantly.

“Why not ask her yourself,” He replied, walking away.

Xander glared at his back, he made to go after him but Queen Lumira stepped out. He glanced at her then at Jericho before slightly bowing

“Her Majesty,” he mumbled, raising his head to look at her.

She completely ignored him, walking towards the royal dining and he followed.

KITCHEN

Jericho got to the kitchen and Micah was the first to run over to him.

“Can you see me?” He asked unbelievably.

“I’m starving Micah,” He made to walk past but Micah wrapped his arms around him.

“He did it, didn’t you?” He teased.

Rhett and Sloane joined them also.

“Can you see me? gracious, what happened to your face?” Rhett panicked, reaching to touch his chin but he shifted away.

“I’m fine,” Jericho mumbled.

“Are you free from the curse?” Sloane asked almost immediately.

“Can only see a little bit, I’m starving,” he added, trying to cover up all the questions with the last part.

“Wait…. Don’t tell me you slept with her,” Micah slapped his back playfully.

Jericho shoved himself to their middle, going into the back door, simply avoiding their questions.

Shortly after he went In, Prince Jasper and Niko appeared. Rhett stood from his chair and slightly bowed, his mate did the same.

“My Prince,” Rhett called.

“His Royal Highness,” Sloane called

They both called in unison.

“I’m here for one of my own, where is he?” Jasper’s voice was firm.

Rhett and Sloane exchange glances.

“They said his name is Jericho…” He was still saying when he saw Jericho walk out of the small room, both arms resting on either side of the wall, showing off his muscles.

“I’m Jericho, what can I do you for?” His voice was low, he hadn’t even treated his wound, and damn it hurts.

“Follow me!” Jasper turned around, walking away instantly.

“Why do I need to do that?” Jericho asked, leaving the doorpost as he walked closer to Rhett.

Rhett quickly covered his mouth.

“He’s coming!” Rhett shouted as if passing a message, he turned to Jericho who raised one of his brows at him.

“Just follow him, they won’t harm you,” he said softly.

Prince Jasper walked into the training field with Niko beside him, a guard came over and whispered into his ears and he nodded.

“I will be right back,” he said to Niko before walking away.

IMOGEN’S CHAMBER

Zander just left after cleaning the room as he’s told though he spent most of his time chatting with Imogen.

He was the one talking while she listened to Every detail.

A Soft knock came on the door and Imogen sat up on the bed, could it be that he came back? But he said he needed to clean the prince’s chamber.

She dragged her lazy self out of bed and opened the door only to come face to face with Puppy.

She didn’t need anyone to tell her who came.

Puppy shifted out of the way and Queen Lumira came into view.

“Her Majesty,” She quickly bowed in respect, shifting out of the way.

Queen Lumira strode in and Puppy followed.

“Wait outside,” Her dark cold voice came through the veil and Imogen could swear it sent a shiver rippling through her.

The woman radiated power and oozed control.

Imogen pointed at the single couch in her room and the queen sat, keeping both hands on her lap.

She’d already scanned the room with her eyes.

“I came to offer my sincere condolences, tears sorrows, prayers, is there anything you would have me do?” Her voice was soothing as she said those words

“Your majesty…” Imogen called not knowing exactly what to say.

“I’m also here to propose a friendship,” Queen Lumira stood, Imogen quickly did the same as the woman took steady steps towards her.

She offered a handshake but Imogen didn’t take it… Like, it was too much. This was like gambling with her life.

The same woman they all vow to protect with their life is proposing a friendship. Was she drunk?

“Nope, I’m not drunk!” Queen Lumira replied and she gasped

She’d forgotten that the woman could read minds.

“I will give you time to think about it,” Queen Lumira began walking towards the door

Imogen didn’t move, she was too shocked to take a step, the queen was a few steps away from the door when she took off, running forward she held the door handle, twisting it then she pushed the door open.

Queen Lumira gave her a tiny smile but said nothing as she exit the room.

A LITTLE WHILE

Prince Jasper opened his door only to see Imogen standing there, he let out a frustrating groan but didn’t step aside.

“Your sister visited, she proposed friendship,” She said, trying to get in but he stood in the way.

She glared at him and frowned, what was he hiding?

“She did?” Jasper asked, a hint of surprise in his tone.

“I’m really scared at this point.” She bit her lower lips, a worried look on her face.

“What if I decline and she have me beheaded? accepting her is like gambling with my life! The queen has never befriended anyone, I’m not good with people that’s why I don’t keep friends, what do I do?” She asked desperately.

Jasper gave it a quick thought.

“That’s a tough one, how long will your reply take?”

“She didn’t say, she only said she would give me time to think about it,” she replied

Jasper held his jaw in thoughts

“Strange! She’d said something about Sensing black magic I don’t know if that’s why she wants your friendship,” he said, still resting his hand on his chin.

Behind her, a female low-rank shifter came out only in her underwear but quickly went back immediately after she saw them.

Imogen’s eyes snapped to his face

“Who is she?” She demanded instantly.

Jasper glanced back before turning to her.

“Who is who?” He asked but she shoved him out of the way, walking briskly into the house.

“Hey….”

“Get lost!!!” Her voice was harsh with her fingers pointing towards the door.

The low-rank shape shifter glanced at her and then at Jasper who said nothing, she quickly put on her dress and scurried away.

“I can’t believe you’re still doing it,” Imogen said and turned to leave but he grabbed her arm, Pulling her back to him.

“Where are you going?” He asked

“To my chamber of course,”

“Ah, ah! Not so soon,” he cupped her face, trying to kiss her but she shifted her face to the side

“Not now! I’m still mourning….” He entrapped her lips in a fierce kiss, kissing her forcefully till he felt her relax.

He disengaged from the kiss and their gaze met.

“You sent my food away, I’m eating you….”

“Jasper, I can’t!”

“Of course you can, come here…”

“I clearly remembered her telling you that she’s still mourning the death of her sister, kissing her forcefully even when she said ‘know’ is a crime so let her go!” They both heard male voice from behind

Looking over to where the voice came from they saw Zander standing there with his cleaning equipment.

The look on his face was serious, Imogen bashed her lashes but didn’t say a word.

Jasper glared from Imogen to Zander and scoffed.

He’s surely going to deal with this guy if he keeps getting in his way.

“Human, leave this minutes,” Jaspers ordered, willing himself to keep his cool.

“Imogen, let’s go!” Zander said instead.

She looked from Jasper to Zander

For some unknown reasons, she enjoys Zander’s company while Jasper is the guy she has loved over for 300 centuries.

“Imogen, are you gonna listen to him or me?” Prince Jasper asked.

MEANWHILE

Niko is still Showing Jericho around, describing everything in detail, he made sure to leave no stone on turned.

His wounds has already been treated though he refused to meet the healer for proper healing.

They got to the shooting range and Declan was there.

“That is Declan, the eagle shifter, and that one over there is Violet the one on pink is Lyla, they are both shapeshifters and we are yet to discover the strongest between the two,” Niko explained softly.

“The strongest?”

“Yes, we already have the strongest female warrior, she’s not here,” Niko replied and looked at him

He looked away almost immediately.

“She can bêat that two?” Jericho’s Pointed at Lyla and Violet.

Niko chuckled.

“Dude, don’t mess with her, trust me she will kill you if you get on her bad side. She’s matching up to the strength of our second in command, Xander, the fox shifter,” Niko replied.

For some reason Jericho was intrigued, who was this woman Niko spoke about with great enthusiasm?

“She can bêat you too?” He asked

Niko slowed down a little bit.

“Well, that will hurt my manly ego but her speed…. Ahhh!! only Prince Jasper and Xander can match her speed…..”

“And her name is Imogen,” Vipers added the last part as he joined them. He gave Jericho a knowing look as if passing a message.

They stopped at the center of the field and Niko sat on the ground, Viper and Jericho joined him.

“I will go get water, Viper stay with him for a little while,” Niko said as he dusted himself, walking away from them.

Minutes after he left Viper glanced at Jericho.

“Still wanna go home?” He asked

“Are you kidding?” Jericho glanced around ” I hate it here!” He added, remembering his siblings.

He couldn’t imagine what Brin is doing right now or Aria, his little girl.

“So, now that you’re one of us considering that you have been marked, you have access to the palace so meet me around 7 so we can hunt for it,” Viper said

Jericho was silent for a little while as if considering it.

“7?”

“Yeah, 7? I will guard you through and once you get it, bring it to me, alright?” Viper said desperately and Jericho nodded.

If the blade was gonna take him back home thwn he’s definitely getting it.

“So what shifter are you?” Viper changed the subject when he saw Niko coming back to them.

“I dunno,”

“You might be a mouse,” Viper teased.

“Hey mouse,” Lyla joined them, she gave Jericho a lustful glare but he ignored her so she came over and stood in front of him.

Knowingly opening the first few buttons of the t-shirts she wore, she wasn’t wearing a bra so her chest came into view.

Jericho didn’t look away so she took that as an encouragement and unbuttoned all of her buttons. Exposing her brêâst.

“Like what you see? We can have a good time after your orientation. I’ll give you a good fûçk trust me,” she winked at him.

“Sorry, I’m not really into guys,” Jericho replied and stood, dusting his trousers.

Viper nudged him.

“Dude, she’s a woman,”

“Oh?” He opened his eyes wide. “I have no idea, I thought he was some dude with failed surgery,” he replied Mockingly

They all gasped

“Have you lost your damn mind!” Lyla screamed out in embarrassment, pulling her clothes together.

“Oh, no, just that have never seen a hanging belly, dude you need to see a doctor…”

“Damn!!” Niko Burst out laughing, and with that, Declan joined him.

“Listen,” Jericho shifted closer “just a piece of advice, see a doctor cos if you don’t… these hanging bellies are gonna touch your knee, they are already looking like my granny’s used diaper….”

“What???” Violet screamed from behind, joining them.

By now Niko was rolling on the floor and Declan wasn’t an exception.

Viper and Asher were just grinning.

“I hate you! I fûçking hate you!!!” Lyla screamed in tears, running away from there with tears pouring down her eyes.
