CHAPTER 28 – 30
{UNVEILED PAST}
The thunder continued and Vanessa kept clinging on Valentino,he only allowed her to hug him but he didn’t touch her. Soon,it became calm and Vanessa immediately pushed Valentino away from herself as she got down from the seat as if he was some monster.
They both made eyes contacts and she bashed her lashes.
“I’m……sorry” she muttered like someone being forced and Valentino nodded.
Vanessa’s phone rang,it’s Giovanni. She didn’t hesitate before taking the call.
Valentino could hardly hear her because of the rain still falling heavily but soon,the door opened, revealing Giovanni,he walked in
“Vanessa” he called and Vanessa immediately ran to him
Valentino got up in confusion,Giovanni looked at him and they turned back to Vanessa. He grabbed her hand
“Hey,are you taking her out into the rain?” Valentino asked impatiently
“Stay out of it” Giovanni snapped and went out with Vanessa,Valentino also opened the door and saw Giovanni covering Vanessa up with an umbrella as he took her to his car
“Seriously?” He muttered,staring at the car till it was out of sight.
He sighed out and backed the wall before closing his eyes,he opened his eyes again,his phone rang after some minutes but he didn’t bother checking,he walked to the table and shoved his laptop into the backpack,it’s a waterproof backpack.
He dropped his phones inside it also and left the study lounge,he entered into the rain and ran all the way to the mansion. He was totally drenched when he got in.
Terence and Reed stood up immediately
“Why didn’t you answer your call?” Reed asked
“As you can see,I’m fine” Valentino muttered and his eyes moved to Gigi who was sleeping on the couch but he said nothing and went upstairs
He entered his room and dropped his bag,he went into the bathroom to take his bath. As he stood under the warm water coming from the shower,all he could think about was the moment Giovanni came into the lounge and the way Vanessa ran to him like he’s her savior.
Besides,why does she look so scared earlier? Does she have a phobia or something else??
‘Gosh,stop thinking about it Valentino. She doesn’t even care about you’ He said to himself but still couldn’t help it.
Soon,he left the bathroom.

CHERRY MANSION
“Here” Giovanni handed a cup of warm tea to Vanessa,she already changed into another outfit
“Thanks” She took it from him and he sat down next to her
“Are you okay?” He asked,staring at her as she sipped from it
“I’m cold” She muttered
“I hate rains” She added and dropped the cup
“You should have just called me” Giovanni said and she looked at him
“How did you know I was still there?” She questioned
“I was worried about you,so I called” Giovanni replied and Vanessa smiled
“Thank you” She said and rest her head on his shoulder
Giovanni started stroking her hair till she fell asleep. The rain was still falling and it’s getting late,he looked at Vanessa and she tried adjusting her head on his shoulder so he guarded her head with his hand.
“Where’s your room?” He asked hoping she heard him
“Upstairs,left side” she mumbled sleepily and Giovanni carefully carried her in a bridal style. He climbed the stairs and followed her description,he saw the door by the left and he entered.
He walked to the bed and dropped her on the bed gently,Vanessa opened her eyes and their eyes met
“Thank you” She said in a low voice before closing her eyes back. Giovanni sat beside her,staring at her pretty face as she slept. He leaned closer and kissed her head before getting up and he went out of the room.
Vanessa hugged one of the pillows to herself as soon as he walked out.

Giovanni got back to his own mansion,the sitting room was empty so he went straight to his room. He fell on the bed,staring at the ceiling.
He remembered Vanessa’s sleeping face and he smiled,the way she clung on him earlier,her head on his shoulder and how he carried her in his arms. He couldn’t stop thinking about them all.
His thoughts were interrupted with a call on his phone,he checked it and saw that it was Paige. He scoffed and dropped it back on the bed.

YELLOW MANSION
Channel sat down in front of the dressing mirror,applying her face cream.
She suddenly stopped while staring at her face
“Am I not pretty enough?” She muttered but she was so sure she’s one of the prettiest girls in their level
“Why can’t he just look at me for once? Why?” She muttered
Her eyes moved to the card on the table,it’s the card she had prepared to give him next month on Valentine day. She took the card and opened her drawer then dropped it inside.
The door suddenly opened and Jessica came in
“Hey babe” She called,sitting down on the bed
“Hey” Channel managed to smile
Even though they are both Becky’s best friend,she’s known as the silent one,she hardly talk to anyone and most people also prefer leaving her on her own.
“I feel so bored,I wish there’s a party somewhere” Jessica said
“In the rain? Are you okay?” Channel asked and Jessica groaned
“I’m gonna call Becky,she’s actually planning to move in with us” Jessica said and Channel faced her
“Wouldn’t she be breaking the rules by doing that?” She asked
“Of course she’s gonna talk to Miss Evelyn,Paige can join Delphine and Julia rather and Becky will join us” Jessica smiled
Channel nodded
“I hope she agree,I’m fed up with leaving here with a silly senior” She scoffed
“Pick up your phone Giovanni!!!!” They suddenly heard Paige’s scream and they exchanged glances
“We are in a complete mess” Jessica shook her head and fell on the bed
Channel chuckled and turned back to the mirror.

NEXT MORNING≈WHITE MANSION
Gigi groaned and stretched sleepily
“Holy fuccckkk” she groaned
“Don’t tell me the first thing you do in the morning is curse?” She heard the familiar voice and her eyes opened,meeting directly with Terence who was beside the bed
“Ahhhhhhhh!” She screamed out and jumped out of the bed
The door burst open and Reed rushed in
“What happened?” He asked worriedly and Gigi’s eyes widened even more
“Don’t tell me I slept here” She said
“Well as you can see,you’re in my room” Terence replied and immediately she kicked him in between his legs
“Ahh!” Terence groaned painfully and fell on the floor
She turned to Reed and he shifted backward
“You fell asleep on your own” he said
“You should have took me home!” She yelled
“It was raining!” Reed said
“You have a car you pervert!!” She yelled and ran out of the room
“F**k” Terence muttered on the floor and Reed laughed
“Are you even sure you can use your d**k again?” He asked and Terence shot him a glare but he only laughed and left the room

Gigi rushed into the mansion and met Vanessa in the living room,she was actually dressed for the morning training,she was putting on joggers and hoodie and her face looked quite dull
“Pumpkin,are you okay?” Gigi asked and Vanessa looked at her
“Where were you last night?” She asked
“I had a drink with Reed and Terence and I ended up falling asleep,wait here,I will quickly take a quick wash” Gigi replied and rushed upstairs.
Vanessa sat down on the couch and rest her head,she was feeling so f**king cold and tired. Rainy days aren’t her thing at all
Gigi appeared after a few minutes,she wore a short and a tank top
“Pumpkin,are you okay?” She asked and Vanessa nodded
“Yeah,let’s go” She replied and they left the mansion,walking toward the training hall.
Vanessa sneezed out
“You caught a cold?” Gigi asked
“Yeah” Vanessa muttered

ORANGE MANSION
Erica was just done getting ready when the door opened and Angelique came in.
Erica turned and her eyes scanned all over her body,she was wearing a tight leggings which look so sexy on her.
“Hey,can you help me check out my neck? I think I saw a red spot there” She said
“Okay” Erica muttered and Angelique moved closer,she pulled her hair from her neck and Erica bite her lips
“Is there a red spot?” Angelique asked
“No” Erica replied
Angelique sighed out and released her hair back
“Thanks” She muttered and made to leave
Erica grabbed her hand and she turned back
“What,are you ready to leave?” She asked but then Erica pulled her to the wall
“I…..don’t think I can take this anymore” she said
“What are you talking about?” Angelique asked and her eyes widened when Erica started leaning close to her
“Erica” She called but it was too late,Erica crashed her lips on hers and she gasped.
Angelique pushed her off almost immediately
“What…..what did you just….” She gasped again and touched her lips
“Tell me that was a mistake” She said
“No it wasn’t” Erica replied
“Are you…..” Erica kissed her again and this time more deeper
‘What the f**k?’ Angelique said inwardly but strangely she loved it but she’s not ready for accept that
She pushed Erica away and ran out of the room.
Erica swallowed hard and lick her bottom lip,her craving just took control of her but she didn’t regret it anyway.
“Erica,are you done? Let’s go” Quinn said from outside
“I’m coming” She replied and immediately went out of the room.

TRAINING HALL
“Five lines please” Coach West ordered the students again
Everyone was on their different lines already
Delphine was in front of Valentino and she kept on giving him some seductive moves but he wasn’t interested in any of them,he kept looking back expecting Vanessa to come in.
“Waiting for queen V?” Reed asked on the other line beside him
“No” Valentino immediately said and Reed chuckled
Becky came in and walked straight to him
“Hey” She smiled sweetly and kissed him but he didn’t reciprocate
“What’s wrong?” She asked after breaking the kiss
“I’m not in the mood Becky” Valentino said and she frowned
“What the f**k is wrong with you these days?” She asked
At that moment,Vanessa came in with Gigi and Valentino’s eyes followed her,Becky also turned and saw who he was staring at
“Why are you staring at her?!” She snapped and Valentino faced her
“Get on the lines please” Coach West said
“You better don’t think about it” She scoffed and glared at Valentino before walking away
Valentino turned to look at Vanessa,she was already on the line beside Giovanni
“Why’s she wearing a hoodie? Is she cold?” He asked himself
“Do you think something is wrong with queen V?” Virgil asked on his other side
“Don’t tell me she also went home in the rain last night?” Terence asked but Valentino said nothing as he turned back to look at her,she really looked somehow and he was worried strangely.
The training started shortly after that,Becky kept glaring at Valentino couldn’t take his eyes away from Vanessa
‘You better be kidding me’ she said inwardly.
Minutes later,Vanessa excused her to go to the restroom.
Both Giovanni and Valentino stared at her as she walked away
Valentino suddenly left his line too and walked away,he could see Giovanni glaring at him but he ignored him and went on to check on Vanessa,his worried self wouldn’t leave him unless he sees her.
He was about going into the restroom when the door opened and Vanessa came out
“Vanessa” Valentino called and Vanessa looked at him blankly but then ignored him and tried walking away.
“Vanessa” Valentino grabbed her hand
“Let go of me” Vanessa said in a kinda weak voice and Valentino released her
“Are you sick?” He asked worriedly
“I already told you to stop meddling in my affairs,stay away from me!” She snapped
“Then tell me why the h*ll I must stay away from you!” He snapped back but then stopped when he felt her temperature,she was literally burning up,her temperature was so high,his eyes widened
“Vanessa” He called softly
“You really don’t know why?” Vanessa asked in a weak voice
“What are you talking about?” Valentino asked
“You don’t remember?? Back in high school days….a girl proposed to you publicly but you didn’t just turned her down,you disgraced her” Vanessa said,trying hard to control her tears
Valentino’s eyes widened
“Was…that you??” He asked
“No…..she was my best friend” Vanessa replied and Valentino eyes grew even more.
“She….have always been crushing on you all her life…and then,she told me she was gonna tell you about her feelings..if only she had listened to me” Vanessa cried as she talked
FLASHBACK≈FOUR YEARS AGO
★QUEENS HIGH SCHOOL★
“Hey Fiona,listen to me okay? I’ve heard alot about those guys okay? They are playboys and I’m sure they are not ready for any relationship……” Vanessa was almost panting as she ran after Fiona
Fiona suddenly stopped
“Not everyone is like you Vanessa,every boys I know are after you,but what about me?” She asked and Vanessa kept quiet
Even as a young teenager,Vanessa always had the pretty face and great body that the boys always fall in love with her at first sight but she never reciprocated their feelings. Fiona on the other hand was a typical definition of slim and flat
“Fiona,stop talking about that okay? You are really beautiful and I’m sure if you are patient…..”
“You can’t change my mind” Fiona cut her off and Vanessa sighed
“Then I will come with you” she said
“So you can seduce him again and he will choose you over me?” Fiona asked and Vanessa’s eyes widened
“Fiona!” She shouted
“Stay back” Fiona snapped and walked away
Vanessa immediately ran to the school rooftop,their school was just opposite the boys high school and most times they pass through the route to visit their girlfriends as far as Vanessa is concerned,she recognized them really we but none of the four boys ever saw her.
She got to the rooftop and the scene already got started,Fiona already stretched the flowers in her hand to Valentino,the students from both school are gathered already,watching the scene
“I love you Valentino,please be my boyfriend” Fiona said
Valentino stared at her like a joke for some minutes before he finally spoke up
“Why are your boobs so small?” He asked and the students laughed out loudly
Vanessa tightened her grip on the bottle in her hand as she watched everything from there
“I’m just….sixteen. They will grow more” Fiona stuttered making the students laugh out again
“Seriously? You think they will still grow?? I don’t think so” Valentina said and Fiona blinked out tears
“And besides,don’t you think…..you should go for guys in your level? You’re way below my standard,so ugly” Valentino scoffed and threw the flower on the floor before walking away with his friends
🗣 That was so crazy
🗣 How can she ask Valentino out?
🗣 Just look at her,flat chest
🗣 She’s so ugly
The students started throwing things at her while she sat down there crying
Vanessa was also in tears as she watched from the rooftop.

FLASHBACK ENDS
Vanessa was in bitter tears when she completed the story while Valentino only stood there wishing the ground could just swallow him from the surface of the earth.
Vanessa looked at him
“Do you know what happened after that?” She asked and Valentino shook his head
“The students bullied her every single day…they call her all type of names…there was only….little I could do for her….so in the end…..she died” She said and Valentino’s heart skipped beats
“I was told…..she committed suicide”
“So now tell me……why I shouldn’t hate you” She said,staring into his eyes while tears roll down her eyes
Valentino made to walk closer to her
“Don’t come…..” She didn’t finish when her eyes went shut
“Nessa!” Valentino called out and immediately rushed to her,And fell directly in his arms unconsciously.
