I woke up the next morning just to find Jay sleeping on his side, his head supported by his hand staring at me. He leaned in and kissed my forehead.
” Morning ,my love,” he said .His fingers tracing my ear, as he tucked a strand of hair behind my ear.
” Good morning to my handsome boyfriend, ” I said as i pulled his face into mine and kssed his soft lips.
I pulled away a few seconds later ,before I started getting all excited and wanting more.
“This is the best way to wake up, I swear i can do this forever, ” Jay said smiling.
” Well, we might as well cancel all our plans and stay here for a life time,” right? ”
He looked up to me and his bright smile shined in the room.
” I really want to kss you again,” Jay said . His eyes wandered to my lips.
” You know you can if you want to. ”
“I’d rather not. I don’t want to get carried away and not be able to control myself. ”
” What if I want you to loose control,?” I said biting my lips and staring into his eyes. His eyes shone with excitement and I could tell my words affected him.
” You better stop doing that. ”
” What? ”
” Saying things that make me want to kss the h’ll out of you! ”
” Okay, but I need to ask you something.”
” Okay, What? ”
” Why did you reject me the other night in your room? Don’t you want to make love to me. ”
He sat up on the bed and took both of my hands.” You don’t know how badly I want that, but we still have a lot of time for that and, I want you to be ready. ”
” But, I am ready. I love you and I want you to be my first. Am sorry for sounding desperate, but am scared Jim will have his way with me,” I said looking down on the bed but he tilted up my chin in so i could look at him.
” You want to do this for all the wrong reasons. I swear when the time is right, ?I’ll make love to you, like you want me to and I’ll hold you tight baby all through the night……,? ” Jay started singing the boys II men song making me laugh until I couldn’t anymore.
” What a voice you have, huh? At least I got to have my own private show, “I said giggling.
” For you, anytime, ” he said lifting my hands up to his mouth and kssing them.
” Am so happy that I’ve been given eyes to see the sun and Blooming flowers, and the heart to love the most fantastic person I know, ” I said and Jay gave me a weird look raising his eyebrows.
” That’s so sweet, but you should have told me to come prepared with my own vows ,” Jay said smiling as i pushed him playfully with my elbow smiling back.
” I read it once in a novel and promised myself that I was definitely going to say it to the person I fell in love with, which happens to be you.”
” I loved it, now let’s go before we are late to the hospital, ” Jay said as we got out of bed and walked out of the room.
Ethan was on his phone in the kitchen leaning up against the counter, when we got there and I guessed Dad was already gone.
” Did you know that Jay asked Dads permission to spend the night? It was really funny, I couldn’t stop laughing! ” Ethan said smiling as we were having breakfast.
“What?! But this is not the first time that you’ve slept over in my room ?” I asked looking at Jay.
” It was the first time as your boyfriend, and I dint want to make the wrong impression, ” Jay said sipping on his coffee.
” That reminds me…i haven’t actually told him that we are dating yet. ”
” I think, he already knows, he wasn’t surprised in the leas! ” Jay said.
” Okay… but I still have to talk to him. ”
One hour later, we were done with breakfast and already at the hospital.
” Hi, Serena,” I said nervously as we entered her room. She was very pale, sleeping on her back and staring at the ceiling.
I was so glad that she had regained consciousness but I was scared of how she was going to react seeing me here, especially with Jay.
Her eyes moved from the ceiling looking at us and it looked like she had been crying.
” Are you okay?” I asked walking over to her as Jay stood by the door.
“Yes, am actually glad you are here.”
” Really?! I asked surprised. I thought I was the last person she would ever want to see.
” Yes really. Am sorry I’ve been such a bch lately ,” She said sighing .” I know I was been selfish for not understanding your relationship with Jay, but am not going to stand in your way anymore. ”
She was really full of surprises today, that I was starting to believe it was all a dream.
” Am glad that you finally get it,” Jay said sitting on one of the chairs in the room.
” Yes, I really missed my best friend, ” I said all smiles looking at her.
” I don’t think we can go back to being friends sky, “she said tears welling up in her eyes. ” I know i said that I understand, but it still hurts. ”
” We can find a way to make it work.”
” I don’t think we can, ” she said shaking her head and wiping her tears . ” And am not saying its your fault sky. You were a good friend and you were always there for me but I ruined everything. You are going through alot and am really sorry I added to your problems.”
” There’s nothing to be sorry about.”
” Jim was here, ” Serena said after a short silence.
” What?! ” Jay asked walking over to us while I just stood there speechless.
” He came to mock me for being a coward instead of fighting for what I want. He even gave me a sharp blade to finish what I started, saying that cowards don’t deserve to live. Can you believe that? ” she said tears still falling from her eyes.
” How long ago did he leave?” Jay asked.
” About thirty minutes. ”
” Did he hurt you?” I asked as I finally got back my voice.
” No, he didn’t. At least not today,” She said sniffling.
” What do you mean? “I asked.
” He confessed to me that he raped me on Jay’s birthday,” She said and I instantly felt cold . “It was supposed to be you, but Jay ruined his plans and so he took out his anger on me. I was super drunk to remember anything. He rapped me sky and didnt even show the slightest remorse!”
She covered her face with her hands crying and I sat on the bed hugging her as she cried on my shoulder.
” How could he do that?! This is all my fault. Am sorry I got you into into this mess, am really sorry, ” I said as tears started falling down my face. I couldn’t hold them back anymore.
” It’s not you fault sky it’s mine, I shouldn’t have left Serena all alone with Jim, I dint know he was crazy then . I Swear I’ll make him pay for that! ” Jay said furiously.
” Whoever fault it is doesn’t matter anymore, its already done. No use crying over spilled milk, ” Serena said pulling back. “Anyway, you have to be extra careful this time. I heard Him talking on the phone and someone was telling him that Jay spend the night at your place. The stalker must be really close to you. ”
I really liked the fact that she was still concerned about me, even after what Jim did to her because of me. Maybe our friendship was not dead after all.
” Did you here him say any names? ” Jay asked.
” No, but he was really pissed and said that he was planning something that will make Sky his once and for all. ”
” I will never let that happen! ” Jay said through gritted teeth .
I was really exhausted of all this and hopped it ended soon. I didn’t want anyone else getting hurt all because of me.
