CHAPTER 5

STILL THE SAME DAY ~SHELTON HIGH ~ CLOSING HOUR

“She told me to wait and she’s nowhere to be found” Juliet said under her breath while waiting for her sister to show up.

“What’s up Juliet, your Romeo is here” Darren said as he walk towards her.

“Yuck! You are way too ugly to be a Romeo. Where’s Judy?” Juliet ask on seeing her sister best friend.

“She’s busy with something and told me to come get you but do you really mean it? Am I ugly?”

“If you had gotten a girlfriend then she would have told you so” Juliet reply.

“Really? I wonder why you don’t think me as ugly whenever you want to sketch someone” Darren said.

“That’s because you are the only one available. My book will be better without your face in it” Juliet said In return.

“Ouch! That hurts. Well then, if am too ugly, you won’t mind using that dude who keeps looking at us, he’s quite good looking” Darren said starring over her back and Juliet turn to see Romeo watching them.

“What is he? An admirer?” Darren ask

“Let’s leave” She said, walking off while Darren followed, taking her bag to help her carry it.

“Is he really her boyfriend?” Romeo mutter watching Juliet leave with Darren.

“Why don’t you go after them and ask” Louis said as he and Amber got to where he stood.

“Err, Romeo. There’s this movie that just came out and am wondering if you will like to watch… ”

“Sorry Amber, I need to go home early. Something happen to my brother, need to check on him, perhaps another time” Romeo said as a black sedan car pull in front of them.

He wave at them before getting into the waiting car.

“I think you’ve got a rival, Amber”Louis said the moment Romeo car was out of sight.

“I have and it’s nothing you can’t take care of ” Amber said in return.

“You mean you want me to…do it again?”

“It worked in the past and am certain it’s going to work now. I won’t let a random girl take Romeo away from me” Amber said.

“Why don’t you just tell him how you feel. You’ve been into him ever since seventh grade and now that we are in ninth grade, you still haven’t tell him how you feel”

“Shut up, Louis. I will tell him when I want to and you are going to help me get Juliet out of the way just as you have done in the past, you promised me that” Amber said, using the promise he made to her a year ago.

“Fine then but how do I go about it. I know nothing about Juliet”

“That’s easy. Am not the Dean’s daughter for nothing, come with me” Amber said heading to the principal office.

ANDERSON MANSION

As soon as Juliet went into the maid quarter where they live, Darren pull Judy to the garden to begin questioning her since she arrive an hour before them.

“So what did you say? Will you pretend to be Graham girlfriend?” Darren ask after hearing her explanation.

“I told Nina that I will think about it but am going to refuse”

“But why?”

“Why? If I agree to it then I will be decieving Graham and have you thought of the real Judy? What if she suddenly show up, what am I going to do?” Judy ask.

“For now Judy is long gone. She threw away a guy who loves her for her career and before she return, Graham would have fallen head over heels for you” Darren said in excitement.

“Hell no! That’s the part am scared of the most. I don’t want him falling for me and I won’t fall for him.

He might be the perfect guy for other girls but he’s not for me”

“Never say never sweetie”

“Common Darren. I thought you will be able to help me figure things out but you are only making it worse by….” The ringing of her phone interrupted her.

“Who is this?” She ask whoever is on the line.

“It’s me, Graham. Am surprise you don’t have… ”

Judy end the call before he could say more.

“Who’s that?”

“Graham! How on earth did he get my number” Judy said, freaking out.

A message pop into her phone and she read the text.

******EVER SINCE YOU LEFT, GRAHAM KEPT ASKING ABOUT YOU, I HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO GIVE HIM YOUR NUMBER, HAVE YOU MADE A DECISION****

“Oh no” Judy mutter, showing Darren the message.

“Look! What I know is that to Graham, you are the Judy he loves and you said that the doctor said he shouldn’t be stressed.

So take it, pretend to be his girlfriend and when it’s the right time, you and his aunt will tell him the truth”

“But…”

“You feel nothing for him, right. Then it shouldn’t be a problem” Darren added, cutting her off.

“Judy Roberts! Where the hell are you Judy!” Natalie call got the two friends rolling their eyes.

“There goes the witch” Darren mutter.

“Am over here, Natalie” Judy reply.

“Why the hell are you here when my room hasn’t been made?” Natalie demand.

“But that isn’t my task. The full time maid will have… ”

“I don’t want the full-time maid doing my room. I want you doing it or you think you are too big for that because you are dating Graham Stone?” Natalie ask.

“No. I will get to it” Judy said turning to Darren to say her goodbye before heading to the storage to get her tools.

“And what are you waiting for? Get out of my house!” Natalie said to Darren who was watching her.

“I can see it all over your face. The jealousy is eating you up and am sure that it’s going to kill you since Judy is Graham girlfriend, deal with it, bitch” Darren said and walk past her.

“Fk you!” She said after him.

“Same to you baby, same to you” Darren said, showing her his middle finger.
