CHAPTER 129
They weren’t important right now, my parents firm is currently on hold since uncle’s Bob’s dèath was announced,
I just can’t go as the true owner without any concrete proof…… and that’s where the lawyer aspects comes in
“That must have been really difficult for you” he said as he paused the video and yawned tiredly
“Tell me about it, I lost my memories in the process, my life has been a mess, only to recover everything and I almost hated Jayson” I said actually feeling hurt about the way I reacted
“I understand, anyone in your shoes would have done the same thing….. just stay strong and watch me bring down those fools to your feet” he said and I smiled brightly…..he yawns again and made to take the coffee besides him but I quickly took it
“You need to rest Noah, come on…. time up” I said and he frowned playfully
“I don’t mind sleeping in here…….I just need to be extra focus since Jasper is busy threatening everyone…..” Noah said and I furrowed my eyebrows
“Funny how he hasn’t approached me yet…” I said clenching onto the cup as I handed it over to him
“He wouldn’t dare, Jayson would kill him” Noah chuckled
“He’s not scared of Jayson” I pinpointed and Noah simply shrugged his shoulders as he signaled for me to come closer
I bend over a little as we watched the video together, they’re currently divided into three places, the first space is a clear video of Laurence walking behind the guys who bundled his father, the second video is of Avia…..
she’s currently standing on her porch but suddenly received a text and walked out, a black car up front and she got dragged into it unawares, and the last video is of Jasper…..
walking out of the bar and entering his bike….a black bike to be precise as he drove off….no plate number on the bike though….. he’s way too smart
“It looks like Avia got kidnapped as well” I blurted out and Noah nods
“We can never be too sure, besides, she loathes you so we still have to keep an eye on her” he said and I bite my lip as he continues shoving through different videos clips
“And Mandy?” I asked out of the blue and he paused for a minute
“Jayson already trimmed her fingers, she should be nursing her injury instead of thinking about hurting you” he said and I exhaled……I really love the fact that Jayson made her pay
I touched my head and winced a little…..it still hurts like shît and Jayson isn’t back yet
“When will Jayson be back?” I asked Noah as I fished out my phone
“The last time I checked, he’s your baby daddy so call him” Noah teased and I rolled my eyes playfully
“Pûnk…..” I muttered at Noah as I texted Jayson immediately
Jasmine: where the hell are you?, my head hurts and I need to change the band-aid
I waited for a few minutes and his reply came instantly
Jayson: I’m on my way and just say you miss me instead of looking for an excuse to text me…..*wink emoji*
A smile creept on my face as I texted back
Jasmine: don’t be a dîckhead and get home soon, you can also add my favorite chocolates while you are at it
Jayson: craving much?
Jasmine: just shut up and do it *laughing emoji*
I tucked my phone away and focused on Noah
“Once we get our hands on Laurence, we will send the lawyer over, I just hope I get him soon” Noah informed me and I nod
“Good, the earlier the better” I muttered as I stood up and made to leave
My head really hurts and I just need some ice……I don’t know if that’s a good idea but my head won’t stop throbbing painfully, I wish Jayson was here…..he would have made the pains go away
I held the door nob as my phone started ringing
“Jayson….. don’t you dare make excuses about not buying my chocolates” I muttered as I fished out my phone from my sweatpants pocket, a frown plastered on my face as I saw an unknown number
“Who the fúck is this?” I muttered as I picked up….. awaiting the caller to say something but instead o got a surprise holler
“Sister in-law……how have you been?, missed me much?” His cold, ugly, unapologetic voice echoed through my ears as my eyes widened in shock and anger…..
