CHAPTER 73

“Yeah, I already talked to Jay about it and he said yes!” I sequel and she gave me a teasing look

“Jay uhh?, you’ve given him a nickname already, that’s a good start” she said and I gulped down emptiness

“It’s a contract” I suddenly blurted out and she paused for a minute before looking at me

“What’s a contract?” She asked, trying not to believe the obvious, the eye contact between us could lit up a whole room

“My marriage to Jayson, it’s not real, it’s a contract” I said and she slowly scotted away from me with her mouth wide open

I was expecting that, I was actually expecting more than that

She looks at me and back at nothing in particular as silence too over, now I wish the ground should split up and swallow me whole

Jayson’s Pov

Immediately I stepped into the firm, a lot people kept staring at me as if they saw a ghost, maybe it’s because I’ve been smiling all the way to work

Do you blame me?, No right?

I have every reason to be happy since I’ve found the one I thought I’d lost

I waved at everyone’s greetings while I just ingore some, it’s kinda overdue when everyone keeps saying “good morning sir”

I walked into my office and Noah was already there, he froze for a minute before saying the next thing I knew he would say

“You are smiling, I don’t know if you know this but you are actually smiling…. should I call the doctor or is everything okay, you need me to book an appointment with your therapist?” he said and I smiled harder, flipping my case on the table as I looked at him

“You are funny but no, I don’t need to see no body because I’m fine” I said as I tugged with my tie

“No you are not, I actually thought I saw another version of you, tell me what happened man!” Noah chimed in happily and I settled down

“She’s the one I’ve been looking for” I said without delay and Noah’s jaw dropped

“No way, tell me it’s a joke” he said as he scrambled besides me

“Do I look like I’ve the time to joke around, my Jasmine is alive and she’s with me, I’m married to my Jasmine!” I shrieked happily and Noah simply stood in awe

“Whattttttt?, Is that how people change?, Woah, I can’t believe it, she literally transformed into something else” Noah said and I couldn’t agree less

“But she still doesn’t remember me or anything about our past, I need to talk to the doctor that treated her years ago, he should be able to tell me why it’s taking so long for her to regain her memory” I said and Noah nod.
