Becca set the table for breakfast. “Honey” she called out, “breakfast is served”
Greg came to the table for breakfast.
Honey, Becca called, is something wrong?
Wrong? Greg replied, no does it look like something is wrong?
Well you were acting weird last night. When did you start going out with AKARAKA? I believe it’s in a joint too. Honey, we are different people and are not meant to mingle with people like AKARAKA. (Sips her tea) I just hope you know what you’re doing.
Darling, replied Greg, I’m sorry about last night though, I was very tired. Concerning AKARAKA, we just sealed a business deal and decided to relax a little and besides, how do we bring them close to God if we are not close to them?
Honey listen, KEROSENE and WATER are liquid but can never be together. The are not used for same purpose, cannot be combined no matter what, in fact, one pollutes the other. When Kerosene goes into water, that water is only good for nothing. Please be careful. Even the bible wasn’t mistaken when he said EVIL COMMUNICATION CORRUPTS GOOD MANNERS. PLEASE BE CAREFUL.
Greg smiled. Breakfast sermon. Thanks angel. Got to go. (Gave her a peck) make sure you get to your shop on time. Love you. (he left)
At BECCA’S shop, her prayer partner SISTER JOY visited.
-BECCA, how are you dear?
-I’M fine o. The Lord has been seeing us through. How are you?
– I’m fine.. How’s business? I can see the hand of God.
-Yes o my dear sister. He is a prayer answering God.
– You know bro Tobi’s wife gave birth yesterday, on her own.
– PRAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIISSSSSSSEEEEEE God oooooooooooo. Woow. Our God answers prayers. This is somebody doctors said can’t give birth on her own o. God is merciful. May his name be praised. Will see her tomorrow.
— Becca, (wearing a serious face) I heard a frightening dream about your husband. Sis, you need to be prayerful, we need to be prayerful.
Becca looked very worried.
–Hmmm, I knew something isn’t right. His behaviour lately says it loud.
-i suggest we hold vigils for him.
– where please?
-Your place of course.
-Oh good. Very good. Thanks so much my beloved sister. Can we start tonight?
– WOW!! I like the spirit my sister. Tonight it is. Don’t worry, we have always prayed and God has always answered. God will answer us again.
-Amen oooo.
That evening, Greg came home early. Becca was overjoyed. She went to the door to welcome him.
Welcome darling
Thanks sweet, how are you?
I’m fine. How was your day? (Helped him take off his shoes and socks.)
Hectic, but I bless the name of the Lord for grace and strength. Baby come here(he made her sit on his thigh) you know what?
(Becca smiled) you tell me.
My name is among those the company wants to promote to the executive level. Sweetheart, if I eventually get promoted, hmmm, no more money problems. So keep praying. And emmm, by the way, (he reached for his brief case. Got hold of some money and hands over to her) get yourself something nice, see, I mean yourself o. (Laughter)
Thanks darling. You are already promoted. In fact, Joy and I are starting a vigil for you. She said,we need to pray seriously for you. That my friend is really a woman of GOd o.
Wow, so sister Joy is passing the night here?
..is anything wrong about it?
Hmmmm, why not chain-prayers? Must she come here?
Honey, it’s for our good. See how God revealed what’s on ground to her. OK, we will cut it down for just tonight. Please my love.
It’s OK. I won’t join. I’m having a hectic day tomorrow. Need to sleep.
OK darling. Thanks for the money. Let me quickly prepare your food.
Emmmm, speaking of food, can you please shut that door and come closer, we need to discuss the kind of food I want.
(Laughter) you no well at all.
The vigil lasted for one week.
Greg was Promoted.
Status has changed.
TROUBLE STEPPED IN.
MAY LIFE’S PLEASURES NEVER TAKE US AWAY FROM GOD’S PRESENCE.
