CHAPTER 5

Finally I realized I was in the park.

I went and sat on the swing as tears started to fall from my eyes.

I looked at the floor as my blood was mixed with the rain.

The pain I was feeling was on another level but the rain hitting my wounds was worse than the one I felt before.

I was thankful that it washed away.

I was shivering because of the cold but no shelter.

I ended up passing out because of the cold and my head not noticing the pair of blue eyes staring at me afar.

Nyx lothario

I opened my eyes weakly, I looked around my environment as I saw I was laying on the floor in the park.

I stood up and it felt like a rock was hit on my head as I growled in pain.

My body aches as last night’s event kept playing in my head.

“I must have passed out, ” I muttered to myself.

I brought out my phone to check the time and to my shock it was 9am.

The coffee shop, I had to be there before 8, I quickly stood up as I started to run.

Not caring if I hadn’t taken my bath or brushed my teeth.

After I reached I stopped to catch my breath as I walked inside.

I noticed people looking at me weirdly but I didn’t care about their stare.

When Madan Glory sited me she quickly grabbed my wrist and dragged me outside.

“What the h’ll Nyx, why do you look like someone from the street.

Your clothes from yesterday are damp, your hair looks like a bird ‘s nest and your face is full of mud.

Did you do this to embarrass me on purpose? In front of my customers.”

I didn’t even notice the way I looked until I saw my reflection in the glass outside and a gasp left in my mouth.

I really look like someone from the street.

“Nyx you are late”

“I’m sorry ma’am”

But she took a step backward holding her nose.

“Did you even brush your teeth at all?”

I said nothing as I just looked down. Right now I felt so embarrassed as she was shouting at me again drawing attention.

And she knew fully well how much I hated attention.

“You’re fired Nyx and don’t come back here”.

Before I could plead

She held her index finger up, shutting me up.

“Don’t open that Stinky mouth of yours, now get the h’ll out of here before I create a scene”.

Tears started to drop from my eyes as I walked away from the coffee shop .

I started to go back home as I cried my eyes out not minding people on the street looking at me.

Immediately I reached home I knew none of my parents were home so I just went inside.

The first thing I did was to go and take my bath and brush my skin.

Immediately I was done. I went to the mirror in my room pulling my towel down as I stood naked in front of it.

Wounds, bruises, scars and marks all over my body.

I am broken beyond repair.

I am shattered

I am damaged

I am depressed

I am far from happiness

I was surrounded by darkness, not just any darkness but thick one.
