CHAPTER 23

Eric smiled a little and this is the first time I’ve seen him smile.

“I guess that makes both of us hit our heads somewhere “.

I laughed at that before we entered the room.

“Nyx”.

I turned to Eric, who looked nervous.

He pushed a box to me before he quickly entered the bathroom.

I opened it and to my surprise they were books.

“BL..OOD ALPHA”

“BU..LLIED BY THE MAFIA SON”

“LADY LAILA”

“THE ALPHA’S BROKEN SLAVE”.

Ohh my God did Eric really buy this for me.

A blush made its way to my cheek.

I waited for Eric to come out , immediately he was out I quickly ran to him and hugged him.

“Thank you,” I said.

He looked stiff but realizing my position I quickly muttered sorry.

He just walked past me but stopped looking back at me.

“Did.. did Seth by any chance, I mean not that I care but did Seth kiss you” he asked .

He was looking at me seriously,

I stared at him before laughing.

“Nyx answer”.

I swiped the small tears in my eyes.

“No, no he did not”.

He muttered something to himself.

Before laying back on the bed.

“Thanks for the books,” I said.

He looked at me before looking away.

Seeing Eric smile today makes me want to help him forget his past.

Maybe coming here wasn’t a bad idea but I was so wrong.

I’m in my office thinking about Nyx, I don’t know why I feel this pull when ever She’s close to me.

My heart beats rapidly and I become nervous even though I try to hide it.

Hearing she loves books , I couldn’t help but buy them for her although it was Seth that pushed me to do it.

He keeps making jokes that he won’t be surprised if the both of us ends up together but I know it’s never going to happen because I’m not capable of falling in love again.

I couldn’t concentrate again as my thoughts was occupied with her.

I had meeting in the next 5 minutes but I didn’t feel like going. I wasn’t even ready to hear what those as$hole in that room were going to say.

Obviously bringing stupid idea for their own selfishness thinking I’m not going to understand because I’m the youngest billionaire.

Fuck them all,I just like to observe more then strick leaving you hopeless.

I was in my thought when my office door burst open.

It’s only Seth that’s allowed to do that but the person standing in front of me a frown made its way to my face.

“Honey, you look so tired”

Anger immediately flash to my face.

“Stella, if you don’t get the hell out of my office I swear you’ll regret ever stepping your feet here”

That’s Stella the biggest bch I know. She thinks just because my father and her father are close partners in business means she can do whatever she wants.

There were so many times I felt like sI.apping the h’ll out of her. Even Seth couldn’t stand her.

I saw as she rolled her eyes.

“Eric , the grand party is this Friday and whose your date. I’ll love to be yours”

I’ve already forgotten about the party coming up this Friday.

Every year she tries to talk me out in taking her to the party but I always reject it, but this bch never gives up.

I just used my office telephone making a call.
