CHAPTER 34

For the first time I felt the burden I’ve been carrying on for years was finally lifted away.

I guess Seth was right, it’s time to move away from the past and focus on the future.

The memories of I and Ariel will always be there. I’ll still love her even if she’s not with me again but she’s my past and I have to focus on my present in front of me.

We finally broke the kss as I stared at Nyx who was wiping her tears away.

“Eric” she called

“Hmmm”

“You’re strong okay, sometimes it’s okay to cry and let it out and most importantly it’s okay not to be okay.”

That last part caught me off guard.

All my life I thought hiding my problem was the best thing and acting as if everything was okay even if I acted cold. Nobody knew I had my own problem I was facing.

I stared at Nyx before smiling at her genuinely. I’m so happy she’s with me.

I pulled her into a hug holding her tightly as if she’s going to leave me again just like Ariel.

I buried my face in her neck and I don’t know how long I was like that but when I pulled away she had already fallen asleep.

I gently carried her in a bridal style before laying her gently on the bed.

I stared at her gentle face, she made my heart beat again. It feels like all the walls I’ve built around myself all these years came collapsing just by her touch and kss.

With that I slowly fell asleep beside her not having the same nightmares.

DAY OF THE GRAND PARTY

Nyx lothario

For two fking days Eric was avoiding me , like what the fuck. I’m sure it’s because of what happened. At some point it was cute but then it became annoying.

I tried to talk to him but he gave stupid excuses and then I finally gave up but at night he always held me close to him as if I’ll run away .

Gosh, this man makes me want to go crazy sometimes.

I haven’t seen Eric throughout today and today is the day, the day of the grand party and I’m super nervous.

When I needed Eric the most he wasn’t around.

It was already evening time and the makeup artist was already here to my makeup but no sign of Eric.

As the makeup artists came with a box placed on the bed. I opened it gently and a gasp left my mouth.

It was a beautiful red gown , a stunning dress that is the color of deep, vibrant red. It is incredibly attractive and eye-catching.

The gown is made from luxurious fabrics like silk or satin, which feel smooth and soft to the touch. It fits the wearer’s body gracefully, highlighting their figure.

After I was done with my makeup I put on the red dress with a black heel.

As I stared at myself In the mirror I looked like a whole different person. I couldn’t help but smile.

There was a knock at the door.
