CHAPTER 37

Eric’s father couldn’t deal with the death of his wife so he shut himself from the world including Eric.

He couldn’t stay in the same house where his wife died so he moved to another city leaving Eric with the nanny.

People may think he must be devastated but that was the best life for Eric”

“But that’s not where I’m diving into. So when we were thirteen Ariel came into our lives . While Seth loved her like his little sister Eric loved her more than a sister so do I”

“But Ariel loved only one person, which was me. We went on countless dates, but Eric was angry that we were together so his love slowly turned into an obsession.

He would stuck her everywhere she went but Ariel started to feel uncomfortable with it but she didn’t want to report it to anyone not to come in between our friendship .

But Eric crossed the line when he kidnapped Ariel . For days we looked for her but we didn’t find her.

When we finally did, Eric held a knlfe near her throat .

I rushed towards him but it was too late . He killed her and the last thing he said was “if he can’t have her then it’s better no one could. The only way was killing her”

Before the police could come , Seth had cleaned the crime up and covered it by saying Ariel committed svicide”.

I didn’t know when tears were coming out of my eyes.

“Then they painted the story that Ariel committed suicide just like his mom. Eric killed two people, two fucking people”.

“And yet he wasn’t charged with anything because he’s the youngest billionaire. I couldn’t be friend with a murderer and the person who covers his track.

He killed the love of my life and I’m never going to forgive him”.

I was short of words , did Eric really do it but remembering his diary I read where he wrote they called him a murderer.

So he really killed his mom and the girl he claimed to like.

“You don’t need to cry Nyx, but I’ll advise you , Eric comes like a good person but he has evil intentions.

Run away from him or you’ll end up like Ariel “.

“How will I be able to run away?” I asked.

“In two days time there’ll be a meeting and Eric has no option but to attend it.

Because of you , I’ll attend, I’ll wait for you so we can run away from him and give Ariel the justice she deserves”.

Before I could say anything a hand pulled me away from Ryder’s hold.

I looked up to see an angry Eric staring dagger at him.

Before I knew it Eric’s fist came in contact with Ryder’s face and I quickly rushed to help Ryder.

“Are you okay?”

“Think about what I said Eric is a murderer, he’ll probably kill you soon”.

Eric grabbed my hand pulling me out of the party. He pushed me inside the car as we drove home.

Immediately we reached the room he lost it.

“Are you fking out of your mind Nyx . I said sit down and dance with some other guy . And to make matters wiest it was fking Ryder, that bstard “.

“What the h’ll did he tell you?” Eric yelled

“Why the h’ll are you so worked up on what Ryder said to me “.

“Because he’ll probably tell you another lie”

“What happened to Ariel ?” I asked.
