ESMERALDA’S CHAMBER
Astrid entered the mistress chamber and bowed his head slowly. “My lady, his highness seeks your attention” he reported.
“I’m not coming, tell him that” she rolled her eyes slowly.
“But, My……..”
“Just tell him that” she snapped cutting him off.
“Yes, my lady” he looks at her weirdly and left her chamber.
Esmeralda let out a scoff when he left “he’ll realize my worth in this palace now” she smiled thinking the emperor would come back to beg her.
“He won’t be able to resist me, he’ll surely come to me” she smiles to herself.

Astrid was walking towards the Emperor’s chamber when he bumped into a small stature.
Sapphire let out a groan as she staggered.
“Can’t you see me” she snapped.
“Sorry princess, I’m in a hurry” he explained.
“Hurry to where” she raised an eyebrow.
“Later princess, I need to go” Astrid wanted to take the path beside her but she blocked him.
“Go to where” she fixed her hands on her waist waiting for an explanation.
Astrid inhaled and exhaled loudly “Princess, it not important….stop being inconsiderate” he muttered and she furrowed her brows.
“Even If it not that important, can’t I know about it” she asked.
“Fine, I’m going to the emperor’s chamber” He said.
She stared at his face intensely moving closer and he frowned.
“What are you doing, Princess” he asked.
She moved back slowly, when he noticed she was distracted…he quickly dashed away to the other pathway leaving Sapphire on her own.
“You nitwit” she screamed.

EMP. AUGUSTUS CHAMBER
“Your highness, Mistress Esmeralda refused” Astrid reported.
Augustus let out a scoff shortly.
“Get the slave”
“Yes your highness” he said and left.

Astrid got to Eloise room “Madam Eloise, his highness asked me to get the slave”
Aurora eyes gleamed in terror.
“But she is still weak” Madam Eloise mumbled.
“Don’t worry, Madam Eloise……I will be fine, I don’t want to incure his wrath” she took her lips in and Madam Eloise nodded.
She went outside weakly following Astrid as he led her to the emperor’s chamber….

Astrid gestured for her to enter when they got to the chamber and her heartbeat rose rapidly.
She entered and took slow strides into the chamber to see Augustus staring at the window outside.
“Your highness….I’m..here” she bowed her head, stuttering.
“I’m not your king, nor your highness” he snapped.
“then….what should I .,..”
“I am your Lord and you are my slave that should be clear enough” he cut her off and she looked up.
“I understand….my lord” She fidgets with her finger as she exhaled continuously, there was silence in the chamber as it became tensed. Her heart was pumping furiously as she waited for his response.

Emperor Augustus’s gaze was still fixed on the window without no expression on his face. The silence in the room was cut short when his usual cold voice spoke up.
