CHAPTER 8
YONGJING KINGDOM
EMP. AUGUSTUS CHAMBER
Emperor Augustus pulled out of Esmeralda and released on the bed.
“Why can’t you release inside me huh” she frowned.
“Go to your suite, Esmeralda” he said in a low voice, walking towards the window staring at the sky.
“Are you preventing me from getting pregnant” She squeezed her face gently but he didn’t respond.
Esmeralda’s voice was laced with concern as she asked, “What’s wrong with me carrying your heir?”
But Augustus didn’t respond. Instead his eyes devoid of emotion. “Go to your chamber, Esmeralda”
Esmeralda’s eyes flashed with defiance. “Can’t I just stay in your chamber tonight”
The emperor’s expression turned glacial. “You know what I don’t like.”
Augustus’s response was devilish. “Leave, Esmeralda. Now” he cut her off and she stood up
He always does this to her, never allowing her sleep in his suite.
“Then can I ask for something”
Augustus raised his brow and she started.
“It about the slave girl……. would she be here alone or other kings are allowed to be with her” she asked to be sure that he isn’t planning to make her stay his forever. She won’t just watch anyone satisfy him than herself.
“I won’t have anything to do with her, if I’m sharing her” he replied curtly and she bit her lips. That means Aurora is only his.
“Goodnight your highness” With a swirl of her skirts, she left the chamber, leaving Augustus to his dark thoughts.

NEXT MORNING
Aurora was alone in the quarters as Jade and Sage has gone to serve their mistress. She stood up and walked out of the quarters to the Palace Kitchen.
Everyone in the kitchen were busy with one thing or the other, Aurora eyes searched for someone when she started hearing murmurs.
… What a slave doing in the palace Kitchen
… Shouldn’t she be working with other slaves
…She is a personal slave, haven’t you heard
…I bet she won’t last long
….She is a witch, only a witch possess white hairs
More came and Aurora face bent sadly, “why do my life have to be like this” she mumbled inwardly.
“Enough everyone, back to work” Madam Eloise shouted and the maids went back to what they were doing before.
Aurora spun to leave when she heard her name.
“Aurora” Madam Eloise called and Aurora walked to her ignoring the glares she received from the maids.
“You don’t have to be affected by their words, ignore them” Madam Eloise muttered and she nods shortly.
Madam Eloise brought out a tray full of refreshments and a steaming tea. She handed it over to Aurora, “Take it to the emperor, he has been expecting it”
“Make sure the cup does not drop from your hands, it the emperor favorite cup” Madam Eloise warned.
Ariana eyes widened in alarm “but, Madam Eloise.. I don’t know the way to the chamber”
“You don’t have to worry about that” Madam Eloise smiled and she took her out of the kitchen.
Eloise eyes gazed at one of the Emperor’s trusted guard and called out to him. “Caeser”
Caeser turned to see her and walked towards them.
“Yes, Madam Eloise” he responded.
“Escort Aurora to the emperor’s chamber, I’ve forgotten to give him these refreshment earlier” Madam Eloise gestured and Caeser smiled his gaze on Aurora.
“Of course, Madam Eloise” he nodded, his eyes crinkling at the corner as he smiled.
He lead the way and Aurora followed suit, he noticed how nervous Aurora is and twitched his lips.
“You don’t have to be nervous, if you don’t get on his bad side you’ll be fine….” He muttered and she nods.
“Obey his instructions and stay away from trouble because he doesn’t accept apologies” he added and she inhaled then exhaled.
“Anyways, am Caeser” he gave out his enchanting smile.
“Aurora” she replied, her voice barely above whispers as she returned the smile.
They got to his chamber and Caeser patted her slowly “that the chamber, go through that door…..see you around” He said and left.
Aurora nervousness increased as she inhaled and exhaled loudly, she took slow strides to the front of the chamber as her heartbeat rose rapidly.
