CHAPTER 68

NEXT MORNING~AURORA’S CHAMBER

Aurora woke up from her slumber and her eyes met with three maids in front of her.

“Greetings, your highness” they greeted making Aurora taken aback.

“Is there anything wrong” she asked and they shook their head.

“We are here to dress you up” one of them said she clamps her lips together.

When last did she receive this kind of treatment?

She got up from the bed and went to the bathroom while the maids trailed behind.

THE CHOSEN ONE : CHAPTERS 61 – 70

Soon they settled on the dressing table as the stylist made her hair into a beautiful knot.

“You look beautiful, My lady” A maid said and she blushed.

Queen Nana entered the suite and they all turned to her.

“You can go” Aurora dismissed the maids as she held her breath slowly.

Queen Nana came closer to her and her breath increased.

Aurora held her breath, her heart racing with anticipation. She had always been intimidated by Queen Nana’s stern behavior but today…..

“Queen…..Mother” she called slowly.

To her surprise, Queen Nana widened her arms shocking Aurora.

“Over here child” she smiled and Aurora hesitated for a while, she soon rushed to her embrace hugging her as Queen Nana hugged her back.

“You really changed my son and I can’t believe you did that” Queen Nana muttered and Aurora smiled.

“Queen Mother” Aurora muttered as she moved out of her embrace.

“Call me Mother from now on” Queen Nana muttered and Aurora nodded.

“The emperor is my son and I can’t dictate for him. Whoever he choose will be okay by me, Since he choose you…. I’ll respect his decision” Queen Nana smiled.

“Thank you Queen Mother for accepting me” Aurora smiled back.

Queen Nana pulled her into a seat in front of the dressing mirror.

“What…..”

“I want to help you restyle your hair” she muttered and Aurora furrowed her brows.

“You know, I’ve always styled Sapphire’s hair ever since she was young” she replied.

“Wow” Aurora exclaimed as Queen Nana finished styling her hair ravishing.

“Here…”

“Thank you Queen Mother” Aurora smiled as she stood up.

“Thank you also for coming into my son’s life” Queen Nana hugged her slightly.

“Lemme walk you to your suite” Aurora suggested and Queen Nana nodded as they walked out of the chamber together.

EMP. AUGUSTUS CHAMBER

Emperor Augustus came out from his inner chamber to see a maid with a tray in her hands.

“Here’s your tea, your highness” she spoke up.

“Drop it and go” he said sternly and the maids did so before going out.

Emperor Augustus walked towards the table and took the tea gulping it all down his throat.

The maids walked away from the chamber branching into a corner to see Esmeralda waiting.

“Done, My lady” she muttered.

“Are you sure he drank it” Esmeralda asked.

“I’m sure he did” she replied.

“Good, you can go” Esmeralda said and the maids left.

Immediately, she smiled darkly as a smirk was playing on her lips.
