THE CURSE OF ALTVALL : CHAPTER 71 – THE END

Outside the chamber, the growling murmurs of werewolves waiting in the corridor rumbled like a brewing storm.

They were restless, hungry to see what would unfold. Would the mighty Jeun fall? Would the son of prophecy surrender his strength for lust?

But Jeun had not come here to surrender.

He had prepared for this day for years—with wisdom passed from Audrey, and strength trained in secret.

He had grown up under the weight of doubt and fear, but he had learned to bend it into courage. More than that—he had allies.

Six werewolves. Six brave souls who had seen through the lies and tyranny of Surganah and joined Jeun in silence. Now they moved, as planned.

Jeun turned toward the bed—but not to obey. Instead, he clenched his fists, a sudden glow erupting from beneath his skin.

The runes carved into the floor beneath him began to crack and shimmer with new light.

Surganah’s smile faltered.

“What is this?”

Before the question could echo fully, the chamber doors behind them burst open with violent force.

The six werewolves stormed in, eyes burning with fury and hope. Behind them, chaos exploded in the corridor—screams, howls, the clash of teeth and claws. Jeun had set the trap. And the moment to strike had come.

“I will not be your experiment,” Jeun growled, turning to face Surganah. “And I am not your son.”

With the speed of lightning, he launched himself forward. The room transformed from a temple into a battlefield.

The girl on the bed screamed and ducked away as power erupted all around her. Claws tore at flesh.

Bodies collided with stone. Blood splattered across the walls as loyalty was tested and fate unraveled.

Jeun was everywhere at once—fighting, blocking, striking. Surganah’s elite werewolves were merciless, but Jeun’s strength was greater.

Every wound he received vanished before pain could reach his bones. He was more than they imagined. Stronger than they feared.

One by one, the six who stood with him fell—fighting to their last breath.

They fought not just for Jeun, but for Altvall. For freedom. Their howls echoed in the chamber like a war song.

By the time the last ally dropped to the bloodied floor, Jeun was the only one left standing.

The room was soaked in red.

His chest rose and fell with heavy breaths. His hands shook, but not with weakness—only with the weight of what was yet to come.
