Episode 13

Rissa’s pov:
I checked the pockets and finally got a hold of the paper. He barely folded it and all I had to do was just to flip it.
If it were that easy…
The moment I brought it out, the door knob made a clicking sound. I flew as my legs could carry me to his closet.
Great! My curiosity always gets the best of me and now, I’m in a big mess.
I heard his footsteps approach the bed and he sat on it. I could see him through the spots in the closet door.
He looked worried as he scrolled through his phone. What’s bothering him??
He tossed his phone aside before lying on his bed. He closed his eyes and adjusted the way he wanted.
I slowly opened the door and it made a creaking noise. Mykel’s eyes flickered open and he climbs off from the bed.
I quickly retreated but it resulted to more noises. Without wasting a second, he pulled the door and it opened.
I loosed my awkward balance and slumped on him, literally.
We both fell to the floor and luckily, I was on top. Thank God!
“Rissa???” He called surprised.
I laughed nervously and got up from his body. He also pulled himself up and brushed his hair backwards.
“What were you doing in my closet??” He asked with a grimace.
“Ugh…I just wanted to see how nice your room is. Its really nice, Mykel” I replied hysterically.
“You don’t expect me to believe that, Rissa. I remember you saying ‘stay away from me’ last week”.
“Fine. Don’t believe me, I don’t care. If you’ll excuse me” I beamed and turned to leave.
“Hold on…” He said and I froze.
Did he notice I took the note??
“What’s that in your hand?” He asked and my heart sank.
“None of your business” I muttered and rushed out of the room.
I looked back and saw him running after me.
I squashed the paper and started towards the stairs.
“Rissa??!!!” He yelled and I could tell he’s extremely mad.
I kept going though I barely knew how to run. He finally caught up with me and grabbed my wrist.
“Give me the note” He ordered sternly.
I never knew he could be this serious and mean. He’s eyes was inevitably livid as they pierced into mine.
I smirked – he has not seen the other side of me.
I squashed the note real good and threw it towards pineapple who was at the other side of the living room. He takes it and scurried off.
“Let’s see if you can chase the dog now” I teased and folded my arms.
He released his grip around my wrist and inserted his hands into his pockets.
“Oh, its on Rissa. You’re so gonna beg m for mercy” He mumbled before walking back upstairs.
I sure showed him!
I turned and saw pineapple running towards me. He didn’t have the paper.
“Pineapple, where’s the paper?” I asked rubbing his white fur.
He barked and waggled his tail.
What’s that supposed to mean???
I didn’t even get to read it.
“Where’s the paper, Pineapple…confess!” I groused tiredly.
Mykel’s pov:
I laid on the bed staring at the ceiling.
I’m not here on a vacation. Time’s running out and I can’t seem to figure out why this people had me released from jail.
What are their plans for me??
Rissa’s mom is being too nice and I can’t help but suspect thats how she is.
I don’t even have a dollar with me.
We lost everything.
Now, I have to put up with the spoilt brat.
I’m gonna take a look at the office I saw at the other side of the house tonight. I need to see if there’s anything that can help me figure out what’s going on.
I’m sure Rissa would be asleep by then.
My new phone began ringing and I answered it.
“Mykel. Oh sweet! You finally got a phone” Austin’s cool voice said from the other side of the phone.
“Its no big deal. I used to have better ones” I mumbled and smiled remembering the good days.
“Um…there’s this girl that has been dying to get your phone number. She gave me hundred dollars yesterday and is willing to do more just to have your number! Can you believe that??” He chipped in.
“No! Don’t do that. Give her back her money, fool” I blasted.
“But Mykel….”
“I don’t care. Don’t go around taking advantage of desperate girls”.
“Mykel, you sound so mean. What? Aren’t you into girls? Are you g…ay??” He asked humorously.
“I’m not g..ay. I’ll explain everything at school” I hushed and hung up.
He won’t understand. No one does.
(Juvenile Detention Center)
Unknown’s pov:
I was allowed to enter the next room without further question. I got to the counter and rested my hands on the railings.
“Name?” The lady asked staring the register.
“Frosh” I muttered and she glanced at me.
“Who are you looking for?” She asked chewing her gum loudly.
God! I hate prisons.
“Mykel Caleb” I replied irritated.
“Hmm…he’s been released. Since last week” she grumbled.
My eyes dimmed.
