Episode 17

(Sunday night)
Mykel’s pov:
Rissa and I sat together at the living room watching a movie. She insisted to watch her favorite cartoon and I’m forced to join her.
It would be boring if I retired to my bedroom.
She cuddled her teddy bear with pineapple sitting beside her. Her hair is neatly packed and she’s kinda beautiful.
I decided to stare at her instead than watching the movie.
The exam would be coming up soon and I’m prepared to write it.
Her mom said if I failed the exam, I would have to register into another school.
My phone had been ringing so I switched it off. Different girls have been calling and there’s no doubt it’s Austin that gave them my contact.
I’m gonna deal with him tomorrow.
“I’m going to bed. Enjoy your pathetic movie alone” I said getting up from the couch.
“I hope you have nightmares” She remarked glaring at me.
I chuckled and headed for the stairs. Pineapple ran after me and we went up together.
I hope she doesn’t feel lonely.
I shouldn’t even care.
Pineapple was able to jump on my bed and I stare at her – impressed.
I slumped on the bed tiredly. I fixed my eyes at the ceiling and gazed at it till it felt like forever.
It’s almost midnight and I wonder if Rissa is in her room or not.
I got off the bed and strolled downstairs.
There she was, sleeping on the couch.
I carried her into my arms.
What !!!
She’s extremely heavy.
Where did all this weight come from??
I sauntered up the stairs with her and took her to her bedroom.
After dropping her gently on the bed, I covered her up and fixed her hair.
Her room’s painted blue and almost everything else was white in color.
One of her phone beeped and I looked into it and saw some guy as her wallpaper.
He looked familiar and I could swear he was Lucas, the president’s son. I had seen him at school.
Hm. Rissa must like him.
She rolled on the bed and I quietly left the room.
Tomorrow’s another day of Rissa’s hatred towards me.
(Next morning)
Rissa’s pov:
The car stopped at the usual spot and I alit quickly clutching tightly to my handbag and phone.
Mykel beat me to arriving early today.
What a show off…
I rushed into the school building and headed for class.
Oh shoot! The door’s closed and classes had begun. If I walked in now, all eyes would be on me.
I dropped my handbag in my locker and started towards the school rooftop.
I’d go there once in a while just to look around the city because it’s really high.
There’s a long tiring fleet of stairs you’d go through before getting to it.
I finally arrived panting a bit. Believe me, it wasn’t easy. I looked around the place. Someone was sitting at the edge of the roof.
His hair…
I approached him slowly and paused when I figured out it was Lucas!
I’d almost scream.
He turned and I felt like crawling under a rock. This is quite awkward.
“I’m sorry” My mouth said even before I could think.
He cracked.
“And I’m sorry too” He chipped and I smiled.
“You can stay” He chimed and looked away.
I sat on the edge but not so close to him.
I can sniff his rich cologne hovering around me.
“Rissa, right?” He asked and I nodded.
“Yeah…”.
“What are you doing, skipping class?” He asked mimicking our teacher’s voice and I laughed nervously.
“I just don’t feel like it, right now” I replied as I seemed to forget that this is the first time we are actually having a conversation.
“That makes the two of us” He shrugged.
“I’m sorry I couldn’t come to the housewarming party at your penthouse. I can’t go anywhere but I’ll definitely come to your birthday party” I stated crossing my fingers for him to see.
“I’m not having a birthday party this year” He deadpanned.
I twitched…why???
“But we can still hang out later…bye Rissa” He said and got up.
And with that, he left the place.
I stared after him.
Lucas Forbes just spoke to me.
Alex and Zoe would completely be blown off when I tell them.
Lucas’s pov:
I walked down the stairs when I saw a message from Logan and the others.
They were waiting downstairs.

“Hey” I whispered as we shook hands.
“You look sick, Luca” Phil said as we entangled from the half hug.
“I’m fine” I muttered putting on the jacket Logan had given me.
“He’s love sick” Darren teased and I shot him a scalding look.
“I’ve told y’all. I’ve gotten over Rissa. I don’t like her anymore” I blunted feeling uncomfortable.
“We all know you are lying!” Darren jibed.
“Calm down, guys. Let’s do it like this. If you wanna prove to us all that she means nothing to you, then you are gonna date her and after a week or two…you’ll break up with her” Phil stated and I scoffed.
“I’m not going to do something so immature to make y’all believe me” I retorted taking my phones from Logan.
“Why are you pretending like you didn’t do It to Ashley and Megan???” Darren asked sardonically.
I sighed.
“She’s innocent and also inexperienced. Let’s just let her be”.
“So, you’re taking the weak belt?” Phil asked definitely pulling my legs.
“You know what?? Fine! I’m gonna date and dumb her so you idiots will know I’m being honest!” I yelled.
“Yeah! Thats what I’m talking about!!” Darren yelled hysterically.
I’m not gonna act weak.
I need them to stop teasing me concerning Rissa.
I did it to other girls so why would she be hard to get and then later, I’ll keep her aside. I’ve always been bad so why should I change now??…
Madison’s pov:
I felt a beep in my pocket and I checked my phone.
A text from Darren.
The plan worked. He’ll do it
I smirked and turned it off.
