THE MISTRESS’ DAUGHTER : CHAPTER 1 – 10
THE NEXT DAY
Kaiden stared at himself in the mirror, hardly recognizing the person staring back at him. The soap here seemed to have a special magic that made his skin look fresh and radiant. He felt amazing, like a new person.
He gazed at the traditional clothes laid out before him, and his eyes widened in wonder. The intricate designs and patterns seemed to shimmer and shine in the light, and Kaiden couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe.
He picked up the clothes and began to dress, marveling at how well they fit him. His long hair, which he had tried to cut a long time ago but had grown back within three days, cascaded down his back like a river of gold.
He took a deep breath and stepped out of his room, into the bustling hallway. Students rushed past him. Kaiden watched them, feeling a sense of curiosity.
Where were they all going in such a hurry?
Just then, someone touched his arm, and Kaiden turned to see Ryder standing beside him, a smile on his face.
“Hey,Let’s go to the dining hall. It’s breakfast time.” Ryder said.
Kaiden’s eyes widened in surprise. “Wow, did you just smile at me?” he asked, his voice full of wonder.
Ryder’s smile faltered for a moment, before he shrugged. “Like I have a choice. Mistress Morwen said I have to be nice to you.” He said.
Kaiden chuckled, feeling a sense of amusement. “Well, I appreciate the effort,” he said, grinning.
As they entered the dining hall, Kaiden’s eyes widened in wonder. The room was huge, with long tables stretching out before him. Students sat at the tables, eating and chatting, while others flew through the air, serving food and drinks.
Kaiden stared, his mouth hanging open.
Ryder rolled his eyes, but a small smile played on his lips.
“Close your mouth,” he muttered.
As they sat down at a table, Kaiden’s eyes landed on the food in front of him. It looked delicious, but he hesitated, unsure of what to do.
Ryder urged him to try it, and Kaiden took a tentative bite. His eyes widened in surprise as the flavors exploded on his tongue.
“Wow, this is really good,” he exclaimed, digging in with gusto.
As he ate, Kaiden noticed that some of the students were staring at him, their faces curious. Some of the girls even waved at him, and Kaiden felt surprise.
Why were they being so friendly all of a sudden?
Just then, a group of students walked into the dining hall, their faces set with pride. They looked confident and self-assured, and Kaiden couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe.
“Who are they?” he asked Ryder, his voice barely above a whisper.
Ryder bowed his head, along with the other students.
“They’re our seniors, the strongest and most powerful students here. They’re treated with respect.” He whispered.
Kaiden watched, fascinated, as the seniors made their way to a special table at the front of the room.
