THE MISTRESS’ DAUGHTER : CHAPTER 111 – 120
Kaiden stopped eating the apple, his expression turning sad.
“What’s wrong?” Ryder asked.
“What if she hasn’t eaten anything too?” Kaiden said, his voice filled with concern.
Ryder rolled his eyes. “You’re so pathetic.” He muttered.
Just then, Maledicta suddenly appeared, and a bright smile covered Kaiden’s face. He sprang up and went to hug her tightly.
“I missed you so much,” he said happily.
Maledicta smiled back, looking a bit nervous.
“I’m sorry for ignoring you. Can we go somewhere?” She asked.
Kaiden nodded eagerly, still holding her tightly.
“He didn’t even bid me farewell.”Ryder scoffed.
As Kaiden and Maledicta walked away, hand in hand, Ryder shook his head and left.
The forest was quiet, the only sound being the rustling of leaves beneath their feet. Kaiden looked at Maledicta, his eyes shining with happiness.
“I’m glad you’re okay,” he said, squeezing her hand.
Maledicta smiled back, her eyes sparkling. “I’m sorry again for ignoring you. I just needed some time alone.” She said.
Kaiden nodded understandingly. “I know. I’m just glad you’re back.”
As they walked deeper into the forest, Maledicta suddenly turned onto a narrower path.
“Where are we going?” Kaiden asked, looking around. “I thought we were going to the lake.”
Maledicta’s smile turned nervous. “Not the lake. I have something special to show you.”
Kaiden’s eyes lit up. “Have you built our special place?” he asked, his voice filled with excitement.
Maledicta nodded, her smile growing. “Um, yes.”
Kaiden’s face lit up. “I can’t wait to see it.”
He walked ahead, pulling Maledicta along. She smiled weridly.

Ryder was about to take off his clothes when he heard a knock at the door. He went to open it, and his eyes widened in surprise when he saw Maledicta standing in the hallway. She looked pale and tired, her eyes sunken with dark circles.
“Senior,” Ryder called gently, concern etched on his face.
Maledicta’s eyes seemed to flutter, and she leaned against the doorframe for support.
“Is Kaiden here? I checked his room, and he wasn’t there.”
Ryder’s expression turned puzzled.
“What? He left with you a few minutes ago.” He said in confusion.
Maledicta’s eyes widened in shock, and she took a step back, as if she had been punched in the gut.
“I haven’t come out of my room since morning.” She said.
Ryder’s face turned white, and he yelled, “That wasn’t you, then who is it?”
Maledicta’s eyes filled with panic, and she grabbed Ryder’s arm.
“Where did they go?” She asked.
“The forest.” He muttered.
Without another word, they both took off, running into the forest as fast as they could.
