THE MISTRESS’ DAUGHTER : CHAPTER 111 – 120
The group went to the pool of students, who were still looking confused and worried.
“Nothing serious happened,” Cassius reassured them. “Just go to your rooms, it’s late. We’ll talk tomorrow.”
The students nodded, still looking worried, and started to disperse.
“What should we do now, since Mistress Morwen is also sick?” Thane asked.
Belladonna’s eyes narrowed. “We should continue to look for Kaiden. Things will get worse if Maledicta wakes up and he’s still missing.” She said.
But as they tried to leave the school, they were shocked to find that a strong, invisible shield was blocking their way.
“What’s going on?” Lilith demanded, trying to push through the shield.
But it was no use. The shield was too strong, and they were thrown back into the school.
“We can’t find him,” Belladonna groaned, frustration etched on her face. “What are we going to do now?”
“Let’s just wait till tomorrow. Things will have sorted themselves out, I’m sure.Cassius said.
The group reluctantly returned to the school, looking downcast.
As they gathered around Maledicta’s bedside.
“You two should go to your rooms,” Cassius said, nodding towards Lilith and Belladonna. “Thane and I will stay with them.”
But Belladonna shook her head. “She’s my friend, so I’m not leaving her side.” She said and sit down.
Lilith nodded in agreement, sitting down beside Belladonna.
The guys leaned against the wall, watching the girls with concern.
Ryder couldn’t sleep, his mind racing with worries about Kaiden. He kept pacing around his room, trying to think of what might be happening to his friend.
Just then, a butterfly flew into his room, and Ryder’s eyes widened in surprise as it transformed into Arachne.
“I knew you wouldn’t be sleeping,” she said, smiling. “That’s why I decided to see you.”
Ryder shook his head, feeling a pang of guilt. “I just can’t stop thinking about Kaiden.”
Arachne’s expression turned serious. “He’s going to be okay.”
Ryder looked at her skeptically. “How can you be so sure?”
Arachne’s eyes sparkled. “I just am.”
Ryder sighed, feeling a bit better. “I just think this whole thing is my fault.”
“Don’t blame yourself. You didn’t do anything wrong.” She said.
Arachne hugged him tightly, and Ryder felt a sense of comfort wash over him.

“How is the Nightshade?” Lucan asked with a smirk, his eyes gleaming with malevolence.
“They are doing well,” Epusa replied, her voice dripping with malice. “I can’t wait for you to rain your doom upon them.”
Lucan’s smile grew wider. “Those animals decided to kill me because I killed a mother who didn’t deserve to be called one. She made me know what I am capable of doing because she couldn’t stop rubbing it on my face. She hated me.” He said.
He paused, his eyes flashing with anger.
“I killed her and the witnesses, and the whole town decided to burn me alive. My dad saved me from the fire, but why can’t I remember what happened after that?” He muttered.
“I could help you with that.”Benedicta spoke up quickly.
