Maledicta’s eyes sparkled with excitement. “Really? Where?” she asked, taking a seat.

“Why don’t you wait?” he muttered, taking a seat opposite her.

Maledicta started eating, trying to contain her excitement. Lucan watched her, his eyes never leaving hers.

“Aren’t you eating?” she asked after a few minutes, noticing that Lucan hadn’t touched his food.

“I am not eating,” he said, his eyes still fixed on hers.

“Have a little; I can’t eat while you don’t,” she said, offering him some of her food.

Lucan hesitated for a moment before accepting it. Maledicta smiled happily, feeling like things were finally going in the right direction between them.

She couldn’t wait to do the final intimate act, maybe by then, she wouldn’t need to stab his heart again.

But her happiness was short-lived, as Lucan suddenly snapped at her.

“Why are you grinning?” he asked, his eyes narrowing.

Maledicta quickly wiped the smile off her face. “Nothing,” she said, trying to play it cool.

But Lucan just smiled, He watched her for a few more minutes before standing up.

“I’ll be back; finish eating,” he said, and walked out of the room.

Maledicta let out a sigh of relief, feeling a little overwhelmed by Lucan’s intense gaze. She continued eating, trying to calm her nerves.

But just as she was taking a bite, she accidentally stained her lip with food. She groaned in frustration, feeling like a clumsy fool.

And to make matters worse, Lucan walked back into the room, a smirk on his face.

“Are you a kid or what? Why can’t you eat without staining your mouth?” he scoffed, shaking his head.

Maledicta’s face turned bright red with embarrassment.

“I’m sorry,” she muttered, trying to clean up the stain.

But Lucan just chuckled and walked over to her.

The students sat under a massive and beautiful tree, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere after breakfast. The warm sun shone down on them, casting dappled shadows on the ground.

“We really get closer here, and somehow, being here didn’t feel that bad,” Cassius said, breaking the silence.

Thane smiled, nodding in agreement. “Yes, you are all amazing, and I wish we could get even closer.” He said.

Lilith’s face lit up with a bright smile. “If we want to be close, then we shouldn’t keep anything from each other. So, Thane found his mate, and guess what? I am!” She said.

The group erupted into cheers and congratulations.

“That’s the coolest thing the goddess has ever done, making you both mates” Belladonna grinned.

As they laughed and joked, Cassius took Belladonna’s hand, pecking it gently, which made her blush.

“Finally, I thought it would never happen!”Thane dramatically scoffed.

Ryder cleared his throat, “I also have something to say. We are betrothed and will soon get married, me and Arachne.” He said.

The group’s jaws dropped in unison, “How is that even possible? I thought we no longer do stuff like that” Cassius said.
