THE MISTRESS’ DAUGHTER : CHAPTER 141 – THE END
After the ritual, Maledicta’s body was placed in a beautiful black coffin, adorned with intricate carvings and symbols.
The coffin was carried to the ocean, where it was placed on the water. The waves gently carried the coffin away, as the townspeople watched in silence.
As the coffin disappeared into the distance, the townspeople turned to Kaiden. They looked at him with a mixture of anger and disgust. No one wanted him in their city, not after what he had done.
“You’re not welcome here,” one of the townspeople spat. “You’re going back to where you came from.”
Kaiden didn’t resist as the townspeople dragged him away. He was no longer powerful, no longer a threat.
He was just an ordinary human, stripped of his magic and his pride. The others couldn’t help and just watch silently.
As for Benedicta, she remained on the spot where she had fallen that day. She couldn’t move, couldn’t speak.
The wound had spread all over her body, and maggots crawled inside the rotting flesh. The smell was overpowering, and the townspeople had to spray fragrance around her to prevent the foul, rotten smell from spreading.
No one helped Benedicta, no one showed her any mercy. She was left to suffer in secret, her body slowly decaying as the maggots ate away at her flesh. It was a slow, agonizing death, and Benedicta was powerless to stop it.
As the days passed, Benedicta’s body began to weaken. Her skin turned gray, her eyes sunken. She was barely recognizable, barely human. And yet, she still clung to life, her mind trapped in a prison of pain and suffering.
It was a fate worse than death, and Benedicta knew it. She was trapped, unable to escape, unable to die. And as the maggots continued to eat away at her flesh, Benedicta knew that she would never be free.

A YEAR LATER
(THE FUTURE)
A year had passed since Maledicta’s death. she was gone forever, and the pain of her loss had left a gaping hole in his heart.
But Kaiden had not let his grief consume him. Instead, he had thrown himself into his work, building his company into the biggest and most successful in the state.
As he walked into his office building, the workers greeted him with a chorus of
“Good morning, sir!” Kaiden nodded curtly, not bothering to respond. He was a man consumed by his own thoughts, and he didn’t have time for pleasantries.
He made his way to his office, a sprawling space with a stunning view of the city. But Kaiden didn’t notice the view. He was too busy thinking about Maledicta.
He sat down at his desk and let out a sad sigh. Despite all his success, he was never happy without Maledicta by his side. He missed her laughter, her smile, and her sparkling eyes.
He missed Nightshade City too, and all the friends he had made there. Kaiden’s heart ached with longing as he thought about the life he had left behind.
Just then, his secretary burst into the room, breaking the spell of Kaiden’s reverie.
“A lady is here to see you, sir. Should I let her in?” He asked.
Kaiden muttered a distracted “Yes,” not even looking up from his desk. He was too lost in his thoughts to care about whoever was visiting him.
But as the lady entered the room, Kaiden’s head snapped up, and he felt like he had been punched in the gut.
