Kaiden was finally able to release himself from Benedicta’s grip, and he dropped her to the ground. She pretended to fall, claiming her leg was weak. Kaiden looked annoyed, his eyes flashing with irritation.
“What was that for?” he asked, his voice firm.
Benedicta smiled, her eyes sparkling with amusement. “I just wanted to do it.” She said.
Kaiden’s expression turned cold. “You can’t do that without my consent. That’s not cool.” He said.
Benedicta’s smile never wavered. “It’s nothing.” She muttered.
“Well, to me, it’s something. I don’t want people misunderstanding the whole thing. Maybe we should just give ourselves a little space.” Kaiden said coldly.
Benedicta’s smile faltered, and she took a step forward.
“Why are you overreacting? It’s just a kiss.” She asked.
Kaiden’s voice rose. “That’s what you think, but I hate being touched, and you’re not even feeling sorry for what you did. What kind of person are you?” He asked.
Benedicta’s expression turned sulky, “Okay, I’m sorry. Are we good now?” She muttered.
Kaiden’s eyes flashed with anger. He could see she wasn’t sincere, and it was obvious she didn’t regret what she had done. He turned and left immediately, not even sparing her a glance.
“Kaiden, Kaiden!”Benedicta yelled after him, but he ignored her.
She stood up from the ground, a triumphant smile spreading across her face. She walked towards Maledicta, who was watching the scene unfold.
“You see what happens yourself, so stay away from him,” Benedicta said, her voice dripping with malice.
Maledicta raised an eyebrow. “What are you talking about? I see nothing.” She muttered.
Benedicta’s smile grew wider. “You see the way we kissed, and besides, I met him first, so he belongs to me.” She said.
“When did you meet him first? Did you travel to the future or what?”Maledicta’s eyes narrowed.
“You yourself know that you should stay away from him. You could rub your bad luck on him. Who knows?” She snapped angrily.
Maledicta’s eyes flashed with anger.
“I’m just glad you’re finally showing your true self. I know that with time, you’ll reveal it to everyone. You can’t hide it forever” she said.
“For years, I’ve had to live with being blamed for what you did. I watched you beat a girl to pulp one night, and then I was blamed for it the next morning. They avoided me like the plague, not knowing the real enemy is you.” Maledicta added.
“They’ll never find out until you’re finally out of this school. You’re not supposed to be among us, but I pretended you were welcome, and now you want to start taking what’s mine and you think i allow that to happen”Benedicta chuckled.
“None of this was ever yours. Have that in your mind.” Maledicta said and vanished, leaving Benedicta seething with anger.
Benedicta turned to leave but then spotted a dark figure hiding behind a nearby tree. She vanished and reappeared behind a guy who was peeking out, looking for her. She tapped him on the shoulder, and he turned, his eyes wide with shock.
“Were you eavesdropping?” Benedicta asked, her voice cold and menacing.
The boy shook his head, his body trembling with fear.
“No, Senior Benedicta, I was just collecting some herbs.” He said.
“Why couldn’t I believe you?”Benedicta asked with a cold smirk.
The boy tried to run, but Benedicta grabbed his neck, her fingers closing around his throat like a vice.
“In your next life, don’t poke your nose into what doesn’t concern you.”she said.
