THE MISTRESS’ DAUGHTER : CHAPTER 81 – 90

The memory of Benedicta’s expression when Kaiden ignored her and rushed to Maledicta’s side was just too satisfying.

She chuckled to herself, feeling a little guilty for being so mean. But she quickly pushed the guilt aside, focusing on the warmth of Kaiden’s body beside hers.

She was enjoying the attention too much. Kaiden body wasn’t that relax because he is still worry about her.

“Stop worrying,” she said, snuggling closer to Kaiden.

“You’re my pill, right? Let’s just sleep. If I feel the pain come again, we can go to the physician then.” She added.

Kaiden’s arm tightened around her, holding her close. “Okay,” he whispered. “Sleep tight.”

Maledicta smiled, feeling a sense of contentment wash over her. She kissed Kaiden’s cheek, and soon they both drifted off to sleep.

As they slept, the darkness of the room was filled with the sound of their gentle breathing, a soothing melody that seemed to lull the world into a peaceful slumber. But beneath the surface.

The students were rushing to the training ground, eager to begin their daily training session. Cassius, standing by the door, watched them with boredom. His eyes, however, lit up with anticipation when he saw Belladonna approaching.

He had a smirk on his face, expecting her to beg him for attention or training tips. But to his surprise, she walked past him without saying a word, not even sparing him a glance. Cassius’s smirk disappeared, replaced by shock and confusion.

He stood in the same spot for several minutes, trying to process what had just happened. Belladonna had never ignored him before. In fact, she had always been the one trying to get his attention, and he had always been the one ignoring her.

Cassius shook his head, trying to clear the cobwebs. He couldn’t believe he was actually feeling sad about being ignored by Belladonna. He had always wanted her to leave him alone, and now that she was, he felt…off.

He took a deep breath and walked into the training room, trying to shake off the strange feeling. The room was bustling with students, all eager to begin their training. Cassius spotted Belladonna on the other side of the room, already training a group of students.

He watched her for a moment, mesmerized by her fluid movements and effortless magic. She was a natural, and he had to admit, he was impressed.

Cassius turned away, trying to focus on his own students. But he couldn’t help sneaking glances at Belladonna, who was now flying through the air with ease, her students watching in awe.

“What’s funny?” someone asked, breaking Cassius’s concentration.

He turned to see Thane standing beside him, a raised eyebrow on his face.

“What are you talking about?” Cassius muttered, trying to play it cool.

“I saw you grinning,” Thane said. “You were staring at Belladonna. What’s so funny?”

Cassius’s face grew hot with embarrassment. “You must have seen wrong,” he denied, trying to brush it off.

Thane shrugged and walked away, leaving Cassius feeling flustered and annoyed.

Cassius tried everything in his power to resist looking at Belladonna, but he couldn’t help himself. He sneaked glances at her throughout the training session, watching as she laughed and joked with her students.

By the time the session was over, Cassius was surprised to see Belladonna laughing hard with Thane. He felt a pang of…something…he couldn’t quite explain.

“When did he get close to her?” Cassius muttered to himself, feeling a twinge of annoyance.

Thane whispered something in Belladonna’s ear, and she laughed again, her eyes sparkling with amusement. Cassius’s eyes narrowed, feeling a surge of…possessiveness?

“What’s so funny?” he scoffed, trying to sound nonchalant.
