THE MISTRESS’ DAUGHTER : CHAPTER 91 – 100

Arachne’s eyes narrowed,”What is it?” she asked, relaxing a little.

Ryder took a deep breath, his eyes locked on Arachne’s. “I think I did something very stupid, and it may have caused serious problems,” he said, his voice laced with regret.

“What should I do?” He asked.

“You should do everything you can to amend your mistakes,” she said gently.

Ryder nodded, . “I should do that,” he said. “At least that will be the punishment for my foolishness.”

Without thinking, Ryder pulled Arachne into a tight hug.

“What are you doing?” She asked.

“I really need this right now,” he whispered, his voice sending shivers down Arachne’s spine. “Please.”

Arachne’s eyes widened in surprise, but she quickly relaxed into the hug.

“Just for a few minutes,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Ryder closed his eyes, feeling a sense of peace wash over him. For a moment, he forgot about Aka, the book, and all his troubles. All he knew was the warmth of Arachne’s body, the comfort of her presence.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Ryder pulled back, his eyes locked on Arachne’s. “Thank you,” he whispered, Arachne smile back and watch him go.

The seniors gathered in Aka’s room, their faces somber as they began to pack up her belongings. Belladonna carefully placed each item into a container, her eyes scanning the room for any signs of something suspicious.

“To me, she was just like us,” Belladonna said, her voice tinged with sadness. “She had everything we have, nothing strange.”

Lilith nodded in agreement, her eyes scanning the room. “Her death is suspicious, though. Who exactly killed her, and why are they hiding the fact?” She said.

“It could be Maledicta. You know she can sense demon at once.”Cassius said.

But before he could finish, Belladonna and Thane snapped at him in unison. “She’s not!” they exclaimed, their faces stern.

Cassius looked taken aback, his eyes wide with surprise. “Wow, sorry guys. I didn’t mean to upset you.” He laugh.

Thane’s expression softened, and he looked down at the floor. “I just feel bad for her,” he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

“Well, it wouldn’t be surprising if you had a crush on her,” Lilith said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

The room fell silent, with all eyes fixed on Thane. He looked up, his face flushing with embarrassment. “What are you talking about?” he scoffed, trying to play it cool.

But Lilith just smiled angrily.

“Nothing, I just know the type of person you are. One minute you’re kissing a girl, and the next minute you’re like, ‘That didn’t happen.'” She scoffed.

Thane’s face turned bright red, and he looked like he was about to explode. “I am not like that!” he snapped, his voice rising in anger.

“You’re the one who does something and then regrets it later.” He snapped.

Lilith’s eyes flashed with anger, and she took a step forward. “I am not! It wasn’t even that good,” she spat, her voice venomous.

The room was silent, with all eyes fixed on the two arguing seniors.

“Did something happen between you two?” Belladonna asked, her eyes fixed on Thane and Lilith.

But before she could get an answer, Thane and Lilith both yelled “No!” in unison and stormed out of the room, leaving the other seniors looking at each other in confusion.

The room was silent for a while, with no one daring to speak. Finally, Belladonna broke the silence, her voice soft and gentle.

“Let’s just focus on why we here, you how they are?” she said, her eyes scanning the room.

The other seniors nodded in agreement, and they continued packing up Aka’s belongings, their faces somber and their hearts heavy with grief. It was obvious that it was only Benedicta that was happy about her death.
