CHAPTER 33 & 34
Cassuis was on his way back to his mansion when Tatiana’s call came in. She hasn’t call him ever since that day he left and he never called too.
The fact that she thought he was behind her sister’s death for a moment, made his blood boils. He understood her part too but he couldn’t just help it.
Getting her call, Cassuis decided to pick it up only to hear Tatiana’s whimper and a familiar voice. Zero.
Instantly, he tracked Tatiana’s phone and saw that she was close. He speed up his car parked in a place where he wouldn’t be notice and went to them.
“Your punishment just doubled woman. Do you think he’ll be that fast to come here to save you?” Zero asked but a cold deep voice sounded behind him, making his heart skipped a beat.
“I’m here already, asshole” Cassuis growled. His eyes freaking cold as he saw the blood on Tatiana’s head.
Zero immediately took a knife from his pocket and swing it behind but that became his mistake as Cassius twisted and broke it. His eyes darkened as it met with Tatiana blood again.
“Fuck” Cassius cursed as his head exploded in anger. He sent a brutal punch to Zero’s face, breaking his nose and hurting the same jaw.
Zero fell to the floor spitting out blood.
Tatiana remain frozen, this would be the first time getting to witness Cassius anger. She watched him grab Zero up and punched his face again and when Zero tried to retaliate with another knife. Cassius broke his fingers.
“Argh!!” Zero growled in pain and Cassuis grabbed his face and hit it to the floor.
He might kill him!
Tatiana’s eyes widened. “Cassius!”
Her voice made him stopped. Zero’s face was unrecognizable, bloody as he lay weakly on the floor. However, Cassuis stood upright with his fist covered in blood.
Two cars arrived and several men got down from it, all dressed in a white and black suit. They marched forward and took Zero.
“Boss” the one who led the men bowed to Cassuis.
Tatiana watched everything unfold.
‘Have you seen the dark side of him? I guess not’
Tatiana recalled Zero’s word.
“I’ll talk to you later” Cassuis said to the man before him in a low deep voice as he cleaned his bloody hands with a clean fabric. The man bowed again and left with the others. Zero was placed in the booth all tied up.
As Cassuis made to approach his car Tatiana spoke up.
“Thank you”
He halt without a word, his hands tucked into his pocket. He began to approach his car and she spoke again.
“I’m sorry!” She voiced out louder this time and he halt. His back facing her. “I’m sorry for doubting you. You should understand my point too. I just felt insecure since I’ve been betrayed so many times by the people I called my family. People that I sacrificed my dreams for only to have them stab me in the back. But I–” Tatiana took a deep breath and added. “I don’t want to destroy the relationship we’ve built. At least for Dylan.. please”
Cassius continued walking and Tatiana’s heart dropped. However when he got to his car, he opened the door and his eyes met with hers.
Tatiana pressed her lips together, knowing what she is meant to do. She entered the car.
As he drive her back to the mansion, he remained quiet and Tatiana didn’t bother him. At least his act alone tells they were cool a little. Beside, his anger caused by Zero was still in his eyes.
Getting into the mansion, Butler Conrad informed Dylan was asleep already.
“Bring the first aid kits” Cassuis ordered.
Soon, Tatiana was seated in the couch, Cassuis before her with a box of first aid.
“Thanks but I can do it myself–”
“Don’t move” he ordered when she made to move her head away.
Tatiana swallowed and watched him apply some ointment to it gently. Each time she winced at the pain pain, Cassius’s jaw would clenched.
His face was close. His blue eyes focused on her wound. She won’t deny, Cassuis had been the most handsome man she had ever met. His feature was just too perfect.
When those captivating eyes locked with her, her cheek burn and she avert her gaze.
He continued treating her and she looked at him again. Her mind drifted to the kiss and she blushed harder.
After he was done cleaning the wound, he dressed it up with a small bandage.
“Thanks” Tatiana appreciated in a whisper as he watched him stand.
“Sleep here, it’s late outside already” he said and left for his room.
“Still cold” Tatiana mumbled. When she got to the room prepared her, she told Jolene and the others what happened.
Zero still haven’t confessed on who sent him and doesn’t seems he would even if death is the only thing facing him.

“It was an heart attack. It was sudden. Had she been facing a heart issues before?” The doctor asked Nathan seated before him with a calm look.
“No. I haven’t seen her struggling with an heart issues before” Nathan said.
The doctor nodded thoughtfully and made a note on the chart in front of him. “I see. And did she have any other health conditions that you’re aware of? High blood pressure, diabetes, anything like that?”
Nathan shook his head. “No, she was always pretty healthy. She exercised regularly and ate well. That’s why this is such a shock. Perhaps, this hospital doesn’t suit the hype. Tell me the truth Doctor, what really happened”
“Sir Nathan–”
“Don’t dare lie. That won’t be funny” Nathan warned coldly and the doctor swallowed.
“Uhmm.. we noticed Mrs. Redmond–”
“Paisley” Nathan corrected.
“Mrs. Paisley” The doctor corrected himself. “She might have recieved a wrong medication” Nathan’s eyes narrowed. “But we are investigating the possibility of a medical error, you need not to worry–”
“Need not to worry. You’re telling me not to worry after my wife almost lost her life under your watch. How inconsiderate of you Doctor. I can sue this hospital and bring it down if I want–”
“Please Mr. Nathan. We really apologize about what ha–”
“I’ll take my wife from here and find a better hospital for her. The one oversea, should be a good idea” Nathan said and the Doctor’s eyes darted in fear.
“We are so sorry sir”
Nathan stood and adjusted his suit before leaving to Paisley’s ward. He found her all weak on the bed. Her eyes and mouth could barely move.
When her gaze met with Nathan, her face turned paled and she tried to move but couldn’t.
Nathan’s lips curled up into a deadly smirk. “I told you shouldn’t have dare me woman. If you had signed the paper, without acting stubborn you wouldn’t be in this position”
Paisley tried to speak but she was too weak to let out a sound.
‘Help!’ she screamed inwardly but her voice betrayed her.
Nathan lean forward, his face close and Paisley felt her breath halt. This man can decide to strangle her and end her life her.
Nathan kissed her neck. “You’ve eaten the privilege of being my wife enough. That’s the reason why you decided to misuse it”
Tears fell out Paisley’s eyes as she sensed danger.
‘Please’ she said inwardly.
“Don’t worry my love” he whispered into her ear, his warm breath hitting her neck. “I won’t divorce you and treat you so good that you’ll wish you had sign those paper. Wife”

Hudson waited outside a restaurant for Indigo. She had call him to pick her up. His heart racing as he had been trying all means to avoid her but she ended up around him.
Finally, Indigo emerged out of the restaurant. She was clad in a beautiful short silver gown.
“Hey, Hudson I’m so sorry I called you like that. My assistant called that my car broke and she won’t make it on time. I needed to get out of here as fast as possible that was why I called. I hope you aren’t busy?”
“No it’s fine. What are you doing here anyway?” Hudson asked, composing himself.
“Blind date”
“What?”
“Yeah a blind date. I need to get my mind off Cassius so I thought having another man would do but I was wrong–” Indigo sighed. “This guy won’t stop talking. He didn’t even allow me to introduce my name”
“Maybe he was trying to impress you”
“Oh please, he should have probably tell me how good he was in bed” Indigo rolled her eyes and Hudson let out a secret smile but it disappeared when she added. “I had to lie to him that you were my boyfriend and you’re coming to pick me up”
“B.. boyfriend. You could have used another excuse”
“That was the best I could think of at the moment. Let’s get out here” Indigo rushed to the other side and entered his car.
Hudson glanced back at the restaurant. A blind date. His sighed.

After several hours of acting, Tatiana felt her bones might fall off because of the stress. The Male lead of the project seems to be making mistakes on purpose.
Tatiana couldn’t pinpoint the reason but his stares was quite disturbing, especially when they are acting close.
“How’s your head?” Jolene asked.
“Fine” she lied. Her head was throbbing with so much headache at the moment. The make up artist did a good job of covering up the wound.
“Let’s head to the hospital” Jolene suggested.
“It’s pretty late already. I need to see Dylan first before heading home”
Cassius left early so she couldn’t see him. She need to talk to him about Zero. That asshole can’t die unless he vomit the name of the person who killed her sister.
She has suspects but no evidence.
“Mom!” Dylan ran to hug her as soon as she stepped into the mansion.
Cassius wasn’t home so Tatiana decided to wait. She wanted to thank him for what he did last night.
Dylan missed her home made food. Despite the aches on her body, Tatiana entered the Kitchen and made Dylan’s favorite.
Butler Conrad told her how Cassuis requested for the same food she had cooked the last time. And when Butler Conrad made it, Cassuis complained he liked her own better.
“Why didn’t you tell me. I come here everyday” Tatiana said.
“Master warned me never to mention it madam. Beside, you seem quite busy and I didn’t want to bother you” Butler Conrad responded politely.
They both chat about Cassuis and Tatiana got to know a few things about him. It made her heart feel alive.
After she was done, she took care of Dylan. They watch some movies while waiting for Cassius.
“Father seems busy these days. Have you made up your mind in staying?” Dylan asked looking up at her.
“I’m still thinking dear” Tatiana kissed his forehead. She badly want to be around him but many eyes was on her now. She is been trailed because of Dylan.. they wanted to know the father.
Another reason why she regret coming here. She doesn’t want her boy to be drag into this. But it was something she can’t escape.
Dylan is Cassuis son!
Dylan slept off and she took him to bed. Cassius still haven’t return. It was almost 11pm.
She texted Hudson and was told he is on his way by him. She decided to wait for him but the stress got the best of her and she slept off.

Cassuis stepped inside, his face looked tired from the stress. His gaze met with the figure sleeping on the couch and his face loosen a bit. The worry he had in his mind slowly disappeared.
“Madam made dinner” Butler Conrad searved the meal Tatiana made before him.
Cassuis was served and he quietly ate the food. He asked Conrad not to wake Tatiana up. Each time, he took a peek at her peaceful state.
Even from a distance, he noticed the slow drop and raise of her chest. Her face tired and yet she waited for him.

Tatiana jolt up from her slumber and scolded herself inwardly for falling asleep.
“Madam”
Tatiana turned to the sound of the voice. It was Butler Conrad.
“Master had returned. He went upstairs ten minutes ago. I was about to wake you up to know if you’re staying”
All what she heard was Cassuis was back.
“Thanks” she greeted him and noticed he had eaten her meal.
Her throbbing head had reduced after the light sleep.
Tatiana knocked lightly on Cassius door and heard him asking her to come in.
Her eyes met with him. He was seated on his bed with his head facing down. His face disturbed. Those perfect brow was furrowed.. was it Zero’s matter, or something else was disturbing him?
Sensing her prescence, Cassius looked up to her and her gaze met.
“Hey” he stood and walked up to her.
She saw his face close and knew something was definitely wrong with him.
“Hi uhm.. I just wanted to say thank you for yesterday” she said and he nodded gently.
“You’re welcome” he replied short.
“Is everything okay?” She asked and he stayed quiet for a while before speaking.
“I almost lost my mother today” he announced and Tatiana’s eyes widened.
“Oh my God, how is she doing now?” She asked worriedly.
“She is fine. The doctor said she would wake up soon and I just can’t understand why she suddenly fell into a critical state”
“I’m so sorry” she whispered.
Cassius didn’t reply. Instead, he crossed the distance between them and pulled her for a hug. His face buried in her neck. Tatiana froze at his unexpected move.
“Cas…”
“Let’s stay like this for a while” he whispered in a hoarse voice and Tatiana allowed him.
She slowly hugged him back and he responded by hugging her tighter like he wanted more of her embrace.
“She’ll be fine Cassuis. She’s a strong woman” she assured.
“Hey Little Rebel” he called and Tatiana found herself smiling however her smile dropped and her face turned paled when he requested…
“Stay with me tonight. Here in the same room”
