“Adelaide, how the hell did she fall down from there?” Mr Everest said in shock.
“Let me call the ambulance,” Autumn said and brought out phone. Her hand was shaking, she was really afraid that something bad would happen to her.
“What ambulance, they will take forever” Noah said and carrying her, he ran towards the car while everyone ran after him, he entered the car and drove roughly out of the villa.
“Lord, please save my parents and siblings,” Emily said, closing her eyes.
“They will be okay, you don’t have to worry” Francisco assured her, he dragged her closer, they all entered the cars and followed behind them.

“Where is the doctor?” Noah asked while rushing into the hospital with Adelaide in his arm, his white tuxedo soaking with her blood already. The nurse gasps in shock when they see her, the quickly bring stretcher and she is driven in it, they start pushing her to the emergency room, Noah was behind them his heart beating loudly. She was pushed into the emergency room, Noah wanted to follow but they stopped him.
“Sir you can’t go in there” one of the nurses said.
“She is my wife, I need to stay with her” Noah said while trying to force his way into the room.
“Sir please, this is an emergency room, you can’t enter” the nurse said.
“What is going on?” The doctor asked behind them.
“wow Mr Everest what are you doing here?” He asked after recognizing Noah, he is the family doctor.
“My wife, she fell from the stairs,” Noah said.
“What, it was your wife?” the doctor asked.
“Yeah, please save her, I don’t want to lose her or my babies “ Noah said.
“she will be okay , I will enter the ER now, please stay calm, your wife will be okay “ the doctor said.
The other members of the family arrived, they went to meet Noah who was still crying, the doctor used the opportunity to enter the room.
“Dad, I am scared. What if I lose her? She is bleeding, I shouldn’t have allowed her to use the stairs since she is pregnant, this is all my fault, I hate myself so much” Noah ranted, he is hating himself so much right now.
“Stop blaming yourself, it isn’t your fault, just accept that the thing has happened, you just hope for better nothing will happen to her” Mr Everest said and hugged her. Mrs Everest was silent in her mind, she was happy, all her plans were going accordingly, she knew Adelaide couldn’t have the baby since she was bleeding, no pregnant woman could survive the fall, she even wished for her to die with her babies.
“God please save my mummy, I promise to be nice to everybody, I will help the poor and teach my siblings well” Emily said, she has been praying, tears were falling from her eyes but she continues praying, Noah went to hug her gently, he knows he has to be strong for her. Stanley was watching everything in silence, it’s like he is dreaming, he still can’t believe what happened. Stacy was just seeing the image in her head, it looked so familiar to what happened some years ago, she almost lost her mind but had to keep calm, the image of a woman lying on the ground with blood dripping out of her head filled her memory.
“Stacy, Don’t freak out, please be calm, everything is okay” she assures herself, everyone was too occupied with what on ground to notice her weird behavior.

FEWS HOURS LATER
The doctor finally came out of the ER after spending hours in there, Noah and her dad ran to meet him.
“How are they?” Noah asked desperately.
“Let me change my clothes, I will send the nurse to call you” the doctor said and left, Noah was pacing around while waiting for the nurse, his mind was troubled greatly.
“I will go with you because she is my sister,” Francisco said.
Noah just nodded, all his wish was for his family to be okay, soon they were called to the office, Noah,Mr Everest and Francisco entered the doctor’s office, he had already changed.
“Please how is my wife, I am so impatient” Noah said.
“You should sit down first,” the doctor said. Noah sat down reluctantly.
“Your wife is a very strong woman, she is very strong, infact I am shocked that she survived this, there are a lot of people that will lose their life” the doctor said.
“She survived, “ Noah said with a relief smile finally washing over his face.
“Yeah congratulations “ the doctor said.
“Thank God, what about the babies?” Noah asked.
“I am out of words because with the way she bled, I actually thought she had lost the babies already but surprisingly, they are okay,” the doctor said.
“They all survive” Noah beamed, Francisco was smiling too, he could imagine how shattered his sister would have been if she lost the babies.
“I am so happy,” Mr Everest said.
“Can I see her now?” Noah asked, he can’t wait.
“She has been moved to the VIP ward but she needs to rest, you will be able to see her after an hour” the doctor said.
“Thank you so much doctor” Noah said and almost hugged the doctor.
“You both should leave, I want to discuss something private with the doctor, “ Mr Everest said.
“What are you gonna tell him that we can’t know?” Noah asked curiously.
“I see you are getting yourself back now “ Mr Everest chuckled.
“It’s just something, I will be back before you know it,” Mr Everest said.
“Okay dad” Noah said and left with Francisco, they were walking in silence for a while before Francisco broke the silence.
“Today, I saw how much you love my sister, thank you” Francisco said.
“The fear of losing her, I almost feel like dying” Noah said.
“Thank for the love you show her, she has never been happy since we lost our parents but you change everything, I really owe you a big thanks’ ‘ Francisco said.
“I am just starting though, I will do more than that cause she deserves it, should I teach you how to drive?” Noah asked.
“Yeah, I was kinda embarrassed with the fact that I am learning something like that from a girl” Francisco said.
“I can relate, my mum was the one that taught me,” Noah shrugged.
“Then we can start after everything becomes normal” Noah said and they smiled at each other.

“So how many days did I have left?” Mr Everest asked after making sure Noah and Fransisco were out of earshot.
“From the recent test I did, I think you don’t have more than a week left,” the doctor said.
“Wow, that’s faster than I thought, don’t you think I should start writing the will down?” He asked with a smile though deep down he was sad, he felt like breaking down but had to act strong in front of the doctor.
“You should tell your children about this,” the doctor said.
“I don’t want to, that will make them sad,” Mr Everest said.
“I think this one is worse, they will regret not noticing that you are sick all this while” the doctor said.
“You shouldn’t tell them anything, I will tell them at the right time” Mr Everest said, he managed to stand up and walk slowly out of the office, the doctor watching his back sadly before shaking his head.
“I hope they will know before it is too late,” the doctor muttered. The atmosphere Mr Everest met shows that Noah has announced the news, they are all happy now, he smiles sadly while looking at them.

“What is going on? Why does it seem like you are avoiding me?” Brielle asked Parker, she has noticed his weird behavior since last night, she has decided to question him after the wedding but delay it because of the tragedy.
“Why did you just assume I am avoiding you?” He asked why look at her eyes, he can’t stop seeing the image of her kissing her brother, he is still shocked because he doesn’t even understand what is going on.
“You just avoid my eyes, and we haven’t exchanged any words,” she smiled.
“Must I do all that? Should I speak to you if I don’t want to?” He asked, he doesn’t even know why he is angry but anytime she remembers the image, he can’t help but get angry at her.
“I am sorry, I thought we are friends’ ‘ she said and left, Parker scattered his hair frustratedly before sitting beside Delaney.
“Did you guys fight?” Delaney found herself asking, she was even shocked too.
“I am not fine but I don’t want to talk about it,” he said. Delaney smiled and held his hand, he was surprised but didn’t say anything.

“She is awake” Autumn announced happily and everybody ran into her room, it was huge because it was a vip. Adelaide was crying, her heart was beating loudly.
Noah quickly went to hug her.
“My babies?” That is the first statement that managed to come out of her mouth.
“They are fine” Noah said and a smile spread on her face as she managed to clean her tears.
“I thought I would lose them, I am so happy right?” Adelaide said. They are watching the couple with a smile on their face except Mrs Everest who was rolling her eyes annoyingly and Jasmine who has been in a bad mood since she heard the mother and the babies are okay, that means all her effort didn’t pay off.
“She is really a strong woman, I can’t believe she has woken up already” the doctor said and inspected her body.
“She still needs to rest, I only need one person in this room, others can go” the doctor said.
“That will be me,” Noah said.
“Wait, I think someone actually tried to kill me, someone pushed me down the stairs’ ‘ Adelaide said.
“Are you saying someone pushed you, we thought you missed a step and fell down” Jasmine said.
“No I didn’t, someone pushed me, I am very sure of it” Adelaide said.
“Who could that be?” Noah asked angrily, he was boiling in anger, so that means, someone actually tried to kill his wife and children.
“Who the hell will try to kill my daughter?” Mr Everest yelled and let out a cough.
“I know the person,” Mrs Everest said.
“Who is it?” Noah asked.
“Her,” Mrs Everest said and pointed to Jasmin.
“What are you talking about?” Jasmine asked nervously, she doesn’t understand what was going on, she plans this with Mrs Everest so why is she accusing her now.
“You know what I am talking about, I saw you when you pushed her,” Mrs Everest said.
“But …..you … .I” Jasmin stammered.
“But what? I have proof with me” Mrs Everest said and brought out her phone, Noah collected it and watched the video record, it was when Adelaide was trying to come down from the stairs, jasmine ran quickly and pushed her before running away so nobody noticed.
“Is that not you?” Noah asked while taking deadly steps toward Jasmin.
“I was the one, but it was…..” jasmine hadn’t finished her statement when Noah strangled her, he was feeling so angry, she was trying to breathe but couldn’t, so they quickly released her from his grip before Noah would kill her.
“You will rot in jail for messing with my family “ Noah spat and Stanley called the cops immediately.
“We plan it together, both of us plan it together” Jasmin said and pointed to Mrs Everest.
Mrs Everest walks closer to her and gives her a sound slap.
“So because I decided to say your secret you wanted to implicate me, I can’t believe I actually wish for my stepson to marry a witch wicked being like you” Mrs Everest yelled. Jasmin was stunned, this woman was acting as if she didn’t know anything about the plan.
“You guys have to believe me” she said but no one is ready to believe her. Mrs Everest watches as she was dragged out by the security, they will hand her over to the police.
“Next time, don’t ever try to act smart with me” Mrs Everest thought with a smirk, she looked toward Dennis and they smiled knowingly at each other.
“If anyone ever tries to mess with my family again, I will not spare them,” Noah said seriously.
