WHAT HAPPENED
TO REBECCA? ?? ?

BY RUTHIE LEE ? ?

EPISODE 16

Vera and Mark came down from the bus that stopped at the bus stop downtown.
“whoa it’s busy down here! Unlike where we live” Vera giggled as she almost got hit by a man who was in a hurry.
“Yeah it’s a lot busier than this, the day Rebecca came here with us, she almost got missing” Mark replied and he led the way and Vera followed.
“Good thing you guys found her! It’s better to see her possessed by Delilah than gone forever!” Vera said.
“Yeah” Mark replied solemnly.
“It’s okay! I know you miss your sister!” Vera said, making Mark glance at her with a nod.

“So This is the town’s amusement park?” Vera asked with disgust.
“Wow you’re just like Becca!” Mark chuckled, thinking how that reaction would have suit Rebecca so much.
“What? You miss her already?” Vera rolled her eyes.
“No I’m just saying, cause she’s always so against everything even if she actually is not against that!” Mark explained making Vera smile at him.
“Mark! Quit talking about my sister for now and let’s focus on finding this weird fortune teller.” vera said, adjusting her face cap, not letting the sun get to her face.
“Yeah… Her tent… Is Over there!” Mark said pointing at the fortuneteller’s colourful tent.
“Thanks… let’s go!” Vera said and started to walk towards there.! With Mark trailing behind her.

Before Vera walked into the tent she said.
“Just in case you don’t know. I hate fortune tellers, shamans, and other predictable beings, they creep me out and act like lunatics”.
“Are you scared to go in?” Mark asked suspiciously.
“Of course I am” Vera admitted, “What if she sees something weird about my future?”.

“Then it’s a good thing, cause you’ll get a chance to prevent it!” Mark said.
“Sometimes Mark’s predictions are inevitable, like the one we’re dealing with now!” Vera sighed before walking in.
“i know” Mark muttered to himself before walking in too.

“Oh wow… Customers!” a girl suddenly said standing up with the plate of noodles she was enjoying in her hands.

“Wait?” Mark said. “You’re not the fortuneteller we met that day!”.
“Really? The day you and four of your friends came here? I sure am!” the girl smiled.
“You’re not!” Mark replied, he vividly remembered the last time he was here, the fortune teller lady was big fat, round, puffy, and looked funny, but the one in front of them was a slim looking teenage girl or a girl who would be clocking around twenty to twenty one, dressed in casual clothes, a pink floral dress and her hair was in ponytail, her dress had exposed a small part of her chest and a weird tattoo was drawn there. Mark tried to read but the girl snapped her fingers.

“You read that! You die!” The girl warned grabbing a blue scarf and placing it around her body, preventing anyone from seeing the tattoo.
“sorry!” Mark apologized. “but how did you change from enormous to this?” Mark asked, referring the “this” to her slim and beautiful body.

“Oh that’s actually my sister you met that day I was just joking” the girl laughed maniacally “But we share the same spirit! Now sit” the girl ordered. Sitting down beside the floor table on the floor.
“She’s just a child and I told you they all act crazily” Vera whispered to Mark as they sat on the floor.

“And who doesn’t act crazy?” The girl asked.
“What! Y..you heard that?” Vera asked, thinking of how low she sounded and how faraway they were, the fortuneteller lady couldn’t have probably heard that.

“Yeah I heard it loud and clear but it’s okay, we’re all crazy!” the lady shrugged.
“Uhm… Okay I apologize miss fortune teller.. Vera said, glancing at Mark than at the lady.
“Oh call me Betty… It’s my name though” Betty smiled, she looked pretty and young and Vera suddenly starts to doubt if she was a scammer or a real fortune teller, but those doubts stopped when Mark started.

“So…?
“So what?” Betty asked.
“Should one of us bring our palms forth, or should we read the tarot card or the hypnosis style..?” Mark asked.
“I don’t do any of those. You could say I’m pretty smart and stronger than my sister, not to brag though, I can look at you and tell you what you want!” Betty said arranging a set of cups that doesn’t need to be arranged in front of her on the table.
“Uhm okay!” Mark replied and slowly Betty raised her head ip to look at Mark.
“Stay still and look me in the eye!” Betty ordered and Mark did so, they both held eye contact until Betty sighed.
“Wow… You have beautiful eyes!” Betty giggled.
“Uh… Thanks… Did you see anyth–

Betty suddenly interrupted him talking to Vera. “Why don’t you try looking me in the eyes!”
“Uhm okay sure!” Vera said, glancing at Mark strangely before turning to Betty.
Betty gazed at her eyes with seriousness and Vera was relieved, happy Betty’s serious with her but then Betty smiled.
“Seriously you both have beautiful eyes.!” she smiled..
“Uhm thanks… Don’t you think you might want to do palms reading?” Mark asked, starting to doubt the black haired girl as a fortune teller, she looks nothing like a fortune teller .

“I know how to do my job, and yeah I know what you’re thinking, I am too pretty to be a fortune teller” Betty huffed startling Mark, How in the world did she do that? Mark thought?

“That’s why I don’t go to school, it’s pretty sad though, when you’re able to read and see other people’s future but can’t see yours, it’s caused a lot of chaos with me and school so I don’t do school, instead I joined my family line of fortune telling.” Betty sighed, rolling her eyes.

” Sorry?” Vera mumbled slowly.
“It’s okay!.. You go to school right?” Betty asked.
“Yeah he does but.. I go to college!” Vera replied..
“Wow… How is college like? Do you guys Party all day, like I head, Do they have like different clique, you know the popular girls clique, bad boys cli–
“Sorry Betty, but we came here for you to help us? Remember? Not ask us about school!” Mark reminded her.
“Oh yeah… Sorry… I’m letting my teenage dream of going to an actual school get in my way … I’m sorry.” Betty apologized.
“It’s okay!” Vera said.
“Okay so what are you guys here for anyway?” Betty asked.

“I thought you said you could read that by just looking at us!” Mark asked, feeling suspicious.

“Oh yeah, right, I already did, I am so bad at my job. Sorry… You guys came here for Rebecca right?” Betty asked looking at them and Mark glanced at Vera in a way that says ~she’s-pretty-Good~ at fortune telling, she saw all that in one small gaze.

“Yeah that’s right! Rebecca!” Vera said.

Betty sighed.! “And she’s been possessed by this twin girl Delilah!”.

“Yeah Delilah, but who’s the twin?” Mark asked.
“Delilah… I mean it’s what I saw” Betty shrugged.
“Okay… We came here to know if you’re…”
“You both came here to know if there’s any possible way you can help Rebecca by bringing her out of the dark and ending Delilah, without hurting Rebecca!” Betty explained making Vera smile a bit, she’s good and pretty for a fortune teller.

“Okay I can’t exactly tell what kind of spirit Delilah is unless I meet her in person, but I know Rebecca isn’t dead yet, she comes out sometimes to her own body right?” Betty asked playing with her hair!.
“Yeah she did.. Today! Too!” Mark replied.
Betty bit her small lips “Well honestly, you guys have to act fast, cause as time goes by Delilah spirit will be the only thing in Rebecca’s body, ending the real Rebecca! And when she’s done with Rebecca she’ll end her body too.! Evil spirits aren’t the best!” Betty shook her head.
“Evil… Spirits?” Mark asked his eyes boring to Betty’s, and she smiled at him. “You’re cute!”
“Uh thanks, but we’re talking about other things here… You know about Rebecca!” Mark pointed at.
“You like Rebecca… So Much.. Don’t you?” Betty grinned.
“Yeah… But not the fact that I want to date her! Don’t misunderstand” Mark barked.
“Oh… Well do you want me to look into your love life of you and her!” Betty asked making Vera laugh.
“No. We came here for Rebecca and Delilah remember!” Mark noted.
“Yeah Betty be real!” Vera smiled still can’t help the funny fact that Mark was actually flushed by the mention of his love life with Rebecca.
“Okay..! Where were we?” Betty asked..
“You said Delilah is an evil spirit!” Mark helped.
“Yeah!” Betty nodded.
“Is there a thing as evil and nice spirit, aren’t all spirits bad?” Vera asked.
“Nope…! Some spirit might possess you, to have the chance to live again, and while being in your body for a while they live happily, those are the nice spirits, the evil spirits are the ones who’s spirit’s have been wondering on earth for too long, and if wondering on earth, they watch a lot of things they can’t do being done by the human flesh, that spirit becomes vengeful and wicked for dying too soon and become evil.” Betty explained.
“So Delilah is an evil spirit and her goal?” Mark asked.
“Her goal is to kill, what else… Like how she killed so many people when she was in your sister, and how she’s going to kill so much more.! And for example you two!” Betty smiled.
“Yeah we know that!” Mark shrugged.
Vera glanced at Mark to see his expression by the mention of Delilah possessing Jessica and killing a lot of people.
“So How do we stop Delilah!” Mark asked.
Betty shrugged. “I don’t know!”
“But… Aren’t you allowed to see that?” Vera asked.
“Vera!” Betty called… Leaving Vera to wonder how she knows her name but then again, she’s a fortune teller, they do and see crazy things, so what’s her name she can’t know.
“We see sometimes, and we can’t say out that thing, I wish I could tell you how but I can’t, why? Not because I’ve seen it but I can’t say it, but because I haven’t seen anything about destroying Delilah I have to Meet her in person!”. Betty shrugged.
“Uhm… Okay about Rebecca, how can we make her come out more often!” Vera asked, at least if they have no idea of destroying Delilah then she will have to talk to her sister more often.
“Well I believe Rebecca must have told you guys the place she is now!” Betty asked.
Mark nodded. “Yeah she told me and I told Vera!”.
“The place Rebecca is, is very creepy and it’s about life and death, it’s Like a place where her spirit determines whether she lives or die, it’s like… I don’t know how to make you guys understand that this, but she did tell you guys about a door. That door is life, it’s like her a way to her body, and everyday that door shrinks, so if you waste more time in taking Delilah down, that door continues to shrink and shrink till there is no door and Rebecca spirit is gone and will stay there until it perishes and once Delilah is done with Rebecca’s body, she’ll kill the body and look for another person’s body, to continue her evil deed! So Rebecca is kind of in grave danger!” Betty explained. And continued anyway while Mark and Vera listened.
“Rebecca, can see nothing, and hear nothing, but sometimes hear your voices, it’s distant but sometimes she heard your voices and that gives her the encouragement to see you, so she fight her way though the door, and when her spirit is back in her body, it can’t stay long cause somehow Delilah is in charge! So if you feel like talking to your sister every now and then, just call on to her, say things only Rebecca knows and not Delilah okay!” Becca smiled.

“Yeah thanks for the tip, but if we don’t act fast Rebecca’s going to die! Spiritual and physical. What should we do!” Vera asked…

Betty sighed and stood up.. “well that’s all I saw I can say no more… I’m sorry” Betty shrugged.
“Well it’s okay, at least we got a few things!” Mark said standing up and so did Vera.
“Yeah! I feel like we wasted our time coming here… No offense Betty!” Vera said but Betty just shrug.
“It’s okay, I understand. But one last thing guys, Delilah’s spirit is dangerous very dangerous, she was dangerous as a human before she died and became an evil spirit when she died. Be careful she’s not just a girl” Betty warned.
“Thanks! Let’s go Mark!” Vera said wanting to go out the door when Betty called yelled.

“You haven’t paid yet! You’re leaving!”

“Yeah.. Right!” Vera said bringing out a couple of notes and giving it to Betty,
“Well…” Betty smiled “You guys are pretty nice people! Keep your money and come to my party instead, I’m having a party tomorrow night! Please come!” Betty asked.
“Uh… I Don’t do parties” Mark said.
“And I have a sister to save!” Vera chipped in.
“Please… I’m having a party and I only invited myself, don’t think it’s nice for you guys to be there, as my friends! My parents are out of town” Betty pleaded.
“Sorry… We’re not friends!” Vera eyed her.
“I know but, at least be there, I don’t even have any friends, and who would want to be friends with a creepy teenage girl who sees things.! Please and you can tell Rebecca to come and maybe I can meet Delilah in person and maybe see if I can see more about her!” Betty said getting Vera’s attention.
“It will be a win-win for the both of us, me finally having a teenage party like my dream! And you getting more information from me about Delilah!” Betty said with pleading eyes…
“Deal!” Vera smirked.
“Yay!” Betty squeaked happily.
“Buckle up Mark, we’re going to a party” Vera smiled.
“Yeah.. Right.” Mark replied sarcastically, he hates parties. But he kind of has no choice.
“Okay…” Betty walked up to Vera, “Can I have your phone?”
“Why?” Vera asked.
“You need my phone number!” Betty replied and Vera brought out her phone and handed it to Betty, as Betty took the phone from Vera, her hand gently brushed against Vera’s, and she gasped heavily, which meant she just saw something.

“What is it?” Vera asked and Mark walked up to them pleading secretly she just saw something about Rebecca.

“I can’t tell you!” Betty shook her head at Vera.
“Seriously Betty! Tell me! Is it about Rebecca?” Vera asked.
“No.” Betty shook her head.
“Then what is it?”
“It’s your boyfriend Ross!” Betty said.
Mark suddenly looked disappointed.
“he’s cheating on you! With Brenda, they who hooked up this Wednesday Friday, made out and then it got to the next level.!” Betty explained…
“Tell me you’re joking!” Vera was surprised to the core.
“I wish I can!” Betty bit her lip.
“That son of a b*tch” Vera growled angrily. While Betty typed in her phone number and gave the phone to Vera.

“Sorry!” Betty apologized “I shouldn’t have told you, but I was supposed to, cause he’s planning to dump you, when he sees you in college next week!” Betty blinked rapidly.

“Well thanks Betty!” Vera said sadly.
“No problem. Now I made you sad, come to my party tomorrow and you’ll be the happiest!” Betty said.
“Yeah sure.” vera said lackadaisical, typing something angrily on her phone.

“Okay thanks we’ll be going now! Still you deserve this!” Mark said calmly handing some amount of dollar notes to Betty.
“Thanks. I’ll go buy myself a dress for tomorrow!” Betty snitched the money from Mark with a grin.

As Vera and Mark walked out of the tent Vera huffed.
“I’m sorry… About… Your….
“oh please!” Vera rolled her eyes. “it’s a good thing we came here, Betty did a pretty job, I get to dump Ross before he did!”.

“Guys!” Betty popped out of her tent with a smile.
“It’s about Delilah!”

“What about her?” Mark asked.
“She has a doll” Betty replied.
“A white Teddy bear!” Vera stated and Rebecca nodded..
“She’s looking for that doll! And if she gets a hold of it, everyone’s doomed!” Betty said and walked back inside the tent. Making Mark and Vera look at each other before they start walking.

“Still haven’t find the doll. Really?” Rebecca rolled her eyes at Helen.
“i searched the floor table but I couldn’t find it!” Helen said.
“Well keep searching cause it’s still in this house!” Rebecca yelled.
“Don’t yell at me!” Helen yelled.
“Okay fine! I’m sorry!” Rebecca breathed out.
Taylor who was quitely coming down the stairs, heard their voices but paused and decided to listen to what they were actually talking about.

“I won’t yell at you okay! Don’t you want me to make you fly?” Rebecca asked.
“I want to! But you yelling at me is making it difficult for me” Helen pouts.
“Okay I’m sorry,” Rebecca apologized but Helen still kept her angry face.
Rebecca sighed and said, “Okay fine!” Rebecca looked around and feeling like they were alone she position her hand in front of Helen. Taylor hiding behind the house pillars, watched closely as Rebecca’s head tilt and hand twitched and slowly Helen’s feet start to lift from the ground.
“whoa” Helen giggled.
“See I managed to get you this far, find my doll and I’ll do more” Rebecca said and dropped Helen carefully.
“okay!” Helen jumped happily.
.
Taylor’s jaw was dropped open, she couldn’t believe what she just saw, her daughter wasn’t just only possessed by someone, but someone with special abilities!
