AURORA POV
I rushed to the fifteen floors of the building and I sat down on the staircase to avoid what was going on around me, I didn’t want to talk to anyone or see anyone. Just then I heard footsteps behind me.
“I don’t want to talk to anyone”. I said.
” Really?”.
I was shocked by the voice and turned in that direction to see him standing behind me, I lowered my face to avoid his gaze on me.
“I am sorry sir, I didn’t know it was you”. I said and I sniffed.
” Why are you here?”.
“Nothing, I was just about to go back to my office”. I turned to leave and he stopped.
” Am sorry about what happened earlier, I promise you it won’t happen again”.
“Why are you apologizing? You don’t have to sir, I should be the one to be apologizing, I should have controlled my anger, I am sorry–” I paused my words as he drew closer to me, closing the gap between us, I froze for a second and my heart started pounding fast. “Control yourself Aurora”. I said to myself and reeled backward to avoid his closeness because it was giving me unnecessary feelings.
” Why are you avoiding me?”. He asked and I raised my face to him confusedly.
“How do you mean sir?”.
” Exactly what you heard, I noticed the distance between us since the day we returned from the trip, tell me why you are avoiding me”.
“I…I am not avoiding you, sir, you are my boss and I don’t think I can avoid you”. I sputtered nervously with my face bowed to the ground.
” Really?”. he asked not fully convinced.
I suddenly noticed his closeness toward me, there was no place to reel backward because my back was leaning against the wall, he pulled closer and rested his hands on the wall. I was trying so hard to control my emotions, his aura was too strong to resist, any lady in this condition that I am in would not think twice but to let loose of herself and bounce on him.
“Sir, I “. I sputtered.
“What? Are you afraid of my closeness to you?”. he asked and I raised my face to meet his gaze.
Our eyes caught interlock for a moment and my eyes fell on his hypnotized lips, the last kiss we shared a month ago suddenly flashed through my head and I wanted to feel those lips on mine one more time.
” Please somebody should stop me before I do something I will regret”. I said to myself and suddenly Kessy’s voice interrupted us from the down step, she was calling out to me and we suddenly disengaged ourselves.
“There you are”. Kessy said as she came over and bowed to the boss, holding the files that fell off my hand during the fight.
” Be back at your office in the next thirty minutes”. He said and walked away.
“Are you okay?”. She asked.
” Yes, I am fine, thanks for helping me out with the files”.
“You are welcome”.
” Come on let’s go”. we left together.

ALEXANDER POV
I was eager at the moment to claim her lips on mine, but I was trying so hard to control myself, I couldn’t believe the effect she had on me, I had never felt this way before. I rushed to my office to see Richard still waiting for me.
“You took longer than I expected”. He said.
” Am sorry, I was caught up with something”. I replied to him and sat down.
“With Aurora?”. He asked and he smiled knowingly at me.” I know you went after her, after all, she is your secretary, isn’t she?” He chuckled and I sighed tiredly at him.
Then my eyes caught sight of Aurora walking to her seat and sitting down arranging her files. and then she stood up and knocked on my door before entering.
“Here are the files sir, am sorry it took long”. She said as she placed the files on the table in front of me.
” Hope you are feeling better.”. Richard asked.
“Yes sir”. She nodded with a smile.
” You can go back to your office”. I said.
“Thank you, sir”. She turned to leave, but Richard stopped her and she turned to him.” Sir”.
“I have told you to stop addressing me as ‘sir’, just call me Richard, I will prefer that”. He said smiling and she blushed. I was staring confusedly at Richard wondering what he was up to.” So, say it”.
“Richard”. She said nervously.
” Good”. He smiles.
“Aurora you can go to your office now”. I said.
” But I am not done talking with her”. Richard said and then returned his gaze to Aurora smiling.”Sorry if I am keeping you waiting, I just wanted to ask if you will be chance on a dinner date with me this Saturday”. He said and I was stunned and I could also see the surprised look on her face.
“Um”.
” Please don’t say no, it will mean a lot to me”.
“Um, okay, I will”. She replied.
” Thank you” He smiled and brought out his phone.” Can I have your contact?”.
“Sure”.She took the phone and dialed the number on his phone before giving it to him.” Here you go”.
“Thank you”.
” Sure”. She smiled and went back to her office.
“What do you think you are doing?”. I asked unlikely.
” Taking my chances”. He said.
“How dare you ask my Secretary out on a date in front of me?”.
” Do you have a problem with that? Yes, I know she is your Secretary, but is she your girlfriend or something?”.
“She won’t go on that stupid date with you”.
” Why? You can’t stop it, she already agreed to go out with me “. he smiles.
” Don’t you dare!”. I frowned.
“What are you angry about? I know you don’t have any feelings toward her or are you?”. He asked trying to annoy me. ” So, if you don’t, don’t you dare try to stop my chances with her”.
I was lost for a while, I suddenly felt jealous the moment he asked her out, and she accepted.
Later at home, I was pestering around my room chilling with my red wine at the thought of Richard asking Aurora out on a date was still ringing in my head, my phone kept ringing and I decided to ignore it because it was coming from my mother, I guess Nora told her everything and i don’t want to talk to her now. It kept ringing and ringing and I got irritated and turned it off, I sat down on the bed staring outside the window still sipping from my drink. Not too long after, I heard the doorbell, I wondered who it was at this time of the night, it was ten pm already.
“I hope it’s not my mom, I won’t take it likely with her”. I rushed off to the door and opened it quickly to see Aurora standing at my door with her bag across her shoulder.” Aurora?”. I called surprisedly and let her in.
“Good evening sir”.
” What are you doing here? Why didn’t you tell me you were coming? Is pretty late “.
” I did, I called you several times you weren’t picking and then it got switched off, I had to come here to give these files to you”. She brought out the files from her handbag. “You told me you needed to use these files at home and you left them on your desk, so I had to bring them here”.
” Oh yeah, I must have left them on my desk, thanks Aurora”. I said as I took the files from her.
“You are welcome sir, I will take my leave now”.
” No, you can’t”. I stopped her.”Is too dangerous to be out this late”.
“No sir, I will be fine, I still have time to get home”.
” But I still insist you sleepover, your room is still available for you”. I said trying to persuade her. She hesitates for a while.
“OK, let me inform my grandmother about it “.
” Okay”. I excused her and left for my room to drop the files, later, I came out to see her sitting on the couch.”Have you had dinner?”.I asked and she stood up immediately she heard my voice.
“No sir”. She replied.
” Oh, I…” I got interrupted by the growl of my stomach.
“Well, I guess you haven’t had dinner either”. She smiles.
” Yeah”. I said nervously.
“Were you actually going to sleep without having dinner?”. She asked.
” Um”
“Don’t worry, I will prepare something for us to eat “.
“OK, I will help out “. We left for the kitchen.
” You don’t have to”.
“I will, I can’t leave you all alone in the kitchen”.
“OK, if you insist”.
Some minutes later, she was done making pasta and I helped her dish the plate out on the dining table, and, she came with the meal and served each plate with it. We sat down to eat.
” Hmm, it smells delicious”. I said as I took a scoop of the meal to my mouth.”Hmm, I miss this, I miss eating your food”. I said and I met her surprised look on me.”I really do”. She smiled and we continued eating.
After having dinner, we sat down on the floor resting our backs on the couch as she assisted me with the files while working on the laptop, I turned to her to see her dozing off, I smiled and returned to what I was doing, just then I felt her head on my shoulder she has slept off. I drop my laptop on the floor and take the files from her hand gently not to wake her up, I carry her to her room and lay her gently on the bed covering her with the blanket.
“Thanks for coming over, I really enjoy your company”. I placed a light kiss on her forehead and went back to the living room to continue with the work.

The next morning, I came out all dressed up to go, I noticed everywhere quiet only the aroma of food coming from the dining room, I guess she left already, I walked to the dining table to see my favorite breakfast served on the table and a note on top of it, I pick it up and read through it
” HOPE YOU ENJOY YOUR BREAKFAST”.
I smiled and I sat down to eat.
